Nice old building. Staff was very friendly. Took around fifteen minutes for the food. Iced tea was very good. Red beans and rice had a nice flavor. Creole shrimp was good, green beans and corn were canned but spiced well. Overall good experience

My biggest complaint is the wait time. Food was actually pretty darn good, but it’s so slow, I might not come back for lunch and don’t recommend people gamble their lunch hour to see if they will have enough time to eat and walk back to the office. Plus side-atmosphere is nice, jazz playing, open space. Food was pretty darn good even though they were out of ketchup(how does that happen?) I’d love to go at night to see what it’s like in the evening. Everybody was really kind… they just have a few kinks to work out with wait times and this could be a great downtown eatery.

Dropped in because I had jury duty. It’s across from the courthouse. There was jazz over the sound system. My waitress was very sweet and attentive. I got the chicken fried steak. Over all, I would rate it as good. The sides were corn and green beans. Both were out of a can. However, they were well seasoned. Cheese toast was also served. It’s funny that in this area you see some kind of toast served with a meal, in a lot of ‘soul food’ restuarants. I thinks that’s a missed opportunity to set themselves apart. Where I grew up at, the thing that set a good cook apart from the rest, was there ability to cook a biscuit. Overall good experience.

Great new place in downtown shreveport for creole and soul food. It is right across the street from the court house on the same block as RFC. We had the jambalaya and chicken fried chicken and they were both incredibly well seasoned and delicious. Great live music and ambience.

My fiancé and I were exploring downtown and wanted something to eat. We heard a live band playing and decided to check it out. This was a pleasant surprise! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken fried chicken which was seasoned to perfection and my fiancé had the jambalaya which was also very good. The menu is a little short but they make everything from scratch. So if you want to have great food and support a local business in Shreveport, this is the place!
