This place seemed to be a town favorite. My party of 2 adults and one preteen arrived right before the dinner rush after a day of hiking and with a big appetite. I asked if there was a fish dish, maybe off the menu and was told that there was a fish taco dish that was really good by our waiter. It was very bland and needed salt. However, their salsa served with tortilla chips was one of the best I have ever had. It has a good spicey kick. Now being a resident of the gulf coast, I dont know what I was thinking in ordering seafood in this part of the country, but it was fresh enough and fried perfectly. It just needed seasoning. My hubby ordered a beef burrito combo plate and did not care for it. He prefers more chargrilled flavor and more seasoning. The preteen ordered a burger and fries and was happy with her choice.

Food was so hot. We enjoy spicy Mexican but everything here is extremely hot. If you like hot food, this is the right place. Our waitress was very nice.

Good heavens! That was some of THE spiciest food I’ve ever had … and that was the green chile sauce! I can only imagine what the red would have tasted like. I wonder though if it was SO spicy if it took away from enjoying the actual enchilada. Salsa was good but the chips were a little salty. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly and serviceable waitress, and great location downtown.

The food was amazing and the waitstaff was great. The atmosphere was great too. We had never eaten there before so the waiter brought out a sample of their red and green sauce. Both were great but I selected red and my wife got the green.

I’ve been to the restaurant a few times now. It’s definitely one of the more reliable places to eat in Silver. While not the highest quality Mexican food, it’s good, and they give decent portions. They could definitely add more flavor variation to their dishes, as I’ve had 3 – 4 different plates, and they basically all tasted the same. That isn’t a bad thing, but it would be nice to get some more exotic tastes and authentic Hispanic dishes. The salsa provided with the starter chips is pretty good, but super hot, and this is coming from someone who puts sriracha on everything. I’d recommend it for families or picky eaters.

Get here early on a weekend or be prepared wait in a line that goes out the door. Good Mexican food, great chips and salsa, sopapilla’s are great as was the service. Been here a few times over the years and am sure I’ll be back

I was not impressed. Looking over the menu it seemed they Nickel and dime you for everything. The owners need to search and watch the video«give them the pickle». For Mexican food it was very sub par. Salsa wasn’t very good and I had pork tacos and the pork was not seasoned at all. We will not be returning. The atmosphere was pleasant thou

Great place for early dinner before they get crazy busy(tried to eat here on a Friday night around 7 — the line was out the door. Chips and salsa are complimentary, and the salsa is excellent. I had the chalupa plate, all ingredients were fresh, very tasty. Great service, nice casual atmosphere, reasonably priced.

Came into town on a day trip. Stopped at the visitor center and asked about a Mexican restaurant. The woman suggested this place. Rather small, but nicely decorated. Chips and salsa were brought to our table right away. Both were very good, salsa had a nice kick to it. Service was very good. Food was above par. Hubby had the tortilla soup and loved it. I tried the small beef combination, everything was very good. Absolutely loved their red sauce, nice and spicy but not too hot. The cheese stuffed poblano did not have much in the way of cheese in it. Only negative, they don’t serve hard liquor, so no margaritas!

Very nice place to visit and enjoy mexican food which might however be kind of heavy for some. Nice interior with limited waiting area. As one mentioned, if you’re on the waiting list and are outside when they call your name, they will skip your spot. Had the combo plate which was very good and also like the free chips as an appetizer. Pleasant and attentive service

Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. So good I went here twice two days in a row. I’ve eaten Mexican all over the east coast, Texas, and California, and this beat them all. The salsa was clearly handmade and fresh. Fresh hot jalapenos(even had warnings in the menu that if you order a hot dish you can’t return it because its too hot! As someone who loves spicy food I was happy to find a Mexican restaurant that actually makes their food spicy!). They have a combination dish which comes with a little of everything and it is all so fresh and delicious. Much better sauces than most I’ve compared it to. The prices were good to especially for the amount of food you get

Rellenos are made en masse and arrive to your table flatter than a tortilla, really! Refried beans must be pureed. Crab tostadas that used to be their claim to fame are no longer on the menu, pity. Also, on an environmental note: Jalisco’s washes down the kitchen every night with water. This water is allowed to run down the street and into the intersection. On cold nights this yucky mess freezes over leaving a mess for pedestrians the next morning; disgusting practice. Wake up, management! Don’t forget, it’s next to the gospel mission, so there will always be a tweaking homeless person ready to hit you up as you’re coming or going. Maybe they want your leftovers! You won’t be needing them after Montezuma’s revenge hits you. This place could be good again if they hired a real restaurant manager. All the food served in this joint is prepared early in the morning and saved for later. Count on soggy, steam-tabled food.
