Their staff is so rude. How stuck up can the girls be that you hire. It should be a friendly environment when I come pick up food. Last time I will be here. second i ordered a side just to find out it’s not filled up. then they refuse to give me tortillas with my meal. I ordered chicken and sides. WHAT a HORRIBLE experience

By far my favorite el pollo loco. I could almost say this is actually my favorite «fast food» restaurant in simi. Consistently every time we come in the employees are always nice and seem like they don’t mind their jobs. :) I’m pretty sure we’ve tried everything on their menu by now and it’s always good! I HIGHLY recommend their chicken tortilla soup over any other place! My favorite is their pollo bowl combo with xxx vitamin water it’s the best!

I love El Pollo and the Mgr is really on top of it but I don’t think the service is, the same when he’s not there. The condiments bar sometimes is discusting. My wife gave up on the special Signature Avacodo Tostada. Tonight it looked discusting and was not just made.

I like El Pollo Loco but I can’t say it’s always the best experience. The girl at the cash register forgot some utensils even though she said they were already included when we asked. So we had to go back and request some. Unfortunately this seems to happen quite often.

The tall guy at the cash register was pretty arrogant and rudely said no when we asked if we could get a different side instead of churros. Then we get home to find a very sad «avocado salad» with NO avocados. Funny, that when we were in line another customer returned to say his order was wrong. Clearly that’s common here. Won’t return to this location.

Horrible. Just horrible customer service. I’ve been here for over 2 years and they consistently get my order wrong. Why do I keep going here? Food is good, but the customer service is lacking. Recently it just became unacceptable. The manager insulted me for calling back and demanding a refund for an item I did not receive. I drove back a couple weeks later with my receipt (like the manager requested I do) and was not given my refund, did not receive the missing item, and to top it all off, they got my order wrong AGAIN! I am so sad that I won’t be going back, as I really like this chain and it’s the only one around for a few miles.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I work close by and my staff and I would get food here pretty frequently. It became a joke that whomever would pick up the food better check and double check to make sure the order was correct. And sure enough, EVERY time it was wrong. We finally had our last meal here and will never be going back. They overcharged us, and when we called «Jasmin» was so insanely rude to us on the phone. We requested a manager, district manager’s number, and was refused. She finally agreed to give us 50% off on our next trip. We gave them another shot and of course «Jasmin» refused the discount. Then again over charged us AGAIN for food we did not even order.
We called again and asked for a District Manager to call us and surprise surprise… no call!
This place is a rip off and thier business practices are an absolute joke. Jasmin needs a new career… away from the general public. A stock room might work out nicer for you, sweetie.

Stopped in yesterday to get my daughter a 3 piece meal to go. The service was very friendly, and the place was clean. She said the chicken was a bit dry.
Parking can be tricky as the small strip mall gets very busy.

Tiny chicken pieces that about the size of game hens, dry old tasting chicken, flavorless rice and all this for a price that could buy you a really good meal somewhere else. That’s the end of this corporate chicken restaurant for us. I can buy 2 whole chickens at Costco & the sides for half the price & get 3 times the food that actually tastes good.

Consistently gets my order wrong every time. Always have to go through all the food to find what was missed.

I love El Pollo Loco, and this particular restaurant is always on top of making great tasting chicken. I ordered a family meal tonight, and as always everything was great, well almost great, they subbed our mashed potatoes for beans, and I was too far away, with everybody seated and ready to eat to go and fix their error. My receipt showed the proper items, so just check your orders.
Everything else was great! The Pico de Gallo is without peer, and as always, the chicken was superb! Oh, I almost forgot, if you have yet to try the ‘sweet corn cake’ side item, what is wrong with you? This stuff is going to be addictive, it’s that good. Yummy stuff!

Karla was our cashier and she was really great. She was super nice, knew the menu, was patient and even made some nice conversation. She even offered us larger sauce containers because she knows how annoying the tiny stupid ones are that are over at the salsa bar.
The food was ready SUPER fast and was accurate and tastey.
My one complaint is about the jeweyness of this place. We ordered a side of chips and the bag they gave us was literally about 6 chips. I will post a picture. Make sure you order a LARGE side of chips if you actually want to enjoy more than 6.
But even when my dad complained (he can be a little over the top) she stayed calm and fixed the situation for us giving us the larger size for free.

I wish we could do half stars. It’s not quite 1, but it’s not quite 2. My friends wanted The Crazy Chicken for lunch. I’ve never been on good terms with El Pollo loco, I’ve been to a few other stores and I’ve never been all that impressed. This trip certainly didn’t help our relationship at all. The order-​taker was nice enough, she was polite and friendly. I ordered the 5.00 chicken burrito combo. It was a special I saw on the door, and on the menu. It came with a small side, a small burrito, and a small drink. The server came over, gave us our food and very politely thanked us again for being there. She actually won some points from me for the restaurant. My burrito arrived, and it was okay, but not great. It was also a stumpy little tiny thing. My side of rice was okay. The unsweetened Iced tea on the other hand was absolutely terrible. I emptied out my cup after a sip and drank water the rest of the meal. How difficult is it to put tea bags in a big jug of water? However, my friend who suggested the place in the first place couldn’t have been happier. She ordered two tacos, and after eating them said «Wow, these are the most delicious tacos I’ve ever had! I could eat two more!» Personally, I think she was a little pollo.

This location is consistently good which isn’t always the case for El Pollo Loco. The staff are friendly and the food is hot and fresh.
The sweet potato fries and corn bread cake sides are amazing.
