Went over tonight craving orange chicken, customer service was good but while ordering I noticed one of the cooks scratching a lottery scratcher with a knife they cut food with after seeing this it made me think how unsanitary that was ! The food was great until seeing what I saw. Makes you wonder if they even wash there utensils after doing some shit like that or worse! I enjoyed this place but after witnessing this issue makes me not want to ever go back…

This is mainly a take-out location, but they do have a row of 2-person tables against the wall. Sitting at the tables means you’re looking at the butts of people in line at the counter, as this location is cramped. This is a typical«A and B Combo» type place, with food pre-made in trays under heat lamps, although you can order items cooked-to-order. This means that quality varies widely; food that sat out for a while won’t taste as good as food that’s just been stocked.(Dry chicken anyone?) Overall, it’s not bad, though; just go during peak hours when they’re constantly refreshing the trays. Edit 2⁄2016: I bumped up a star because if you cook-to-order and don’t mind the wait, the food is much better. Hot and sour soup — addictive!

Great portions and nice staff. The cook to orders are amazing! Especially the spicy garlic shrimp. I would recommend this place to all my friends

Tried them all. Panda Bowl is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the southland, the only problem is that they don’t deliver. Well worth leaving the house to get it!

We really like this place. Food is fresh and solid. Servings are gigantic. Usually, 2 combo plates will feed 4. Nice folks too. They have another location on Cochran and Sycamore, near Staples. Try them for reasonably priced Chinese food.

Decided to stop by here on my way home from work. We usually go to Panda Express, but this was on my way. We were pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious and very inexpensive. They give you a huge portion and the employees are fast and nice. Yes, the food was a bit salty, but I expected that and just drank a lot of water that night. I will go back again.

This place is pretty good! Cheaper than Panda Express, and they really load the food onto your tray. Would recommend.

Typical greasy, salty Chinese food. It’s fast food counterpart tastes more fresh and light.

Not as good as Panda Express — but if you get a special order, it’s a little better. Good egg rolls though.

This is the go-to Chinese food spot. Good prices, great tasting food and an abundance of Sriracha. Nice staff too. I’m in. Edit: Awesome that this place now accepts debit cards. Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

So many good things to say about this place. I don’t even know where to begin! Can’t get enough of their amazing orange chicken, chowmein is to die for, the eggrolls omg! With that hot mustard… mmmm yummmmm!!! If you want fresh, cheap, and loads of food you must stop into panda bowl. Unfortunately, did notice that they’re under construction due to some remodeling and fire issue. But for sure when they return I know the food will remain delish maybe even better than before! Can’t wait to get some orange chicken in this tummy again!

Way better than Panda Express you get more food and the for a cheaper price. The chow mein was a bit greasy but it tasted good still.

My friend told me to try Panda Bowl today. She said you won’t go to Panda’s anymore. She said they give larger portions and the food is good.(I had Panda Express last night). Taking her advice I went to Panda Bowl. First I was soooo happy to find they have BBQ pork… Which Panda Express no longer serves. I ordered that with the chicken & potatoes w/onions, and I added the orange chicken. Everything was so delish. The best orange chicken I’ve had in a very long time. The rice was so good and fresh. I hope they never go the way of other places and get popular only to go down hill. I hate those places where you bite into orange chicken only to find you’re eating fried batter minus chicken. This little Panda Bowl is definitely five stars.

3.5 — 4.0 stars YOUREXPERIENCEWILLVARY(not may, will) This place takes Credit Cards now. HUGE portions. Food goes as follows: If you show up when its fresh 4⁄5 If its been there for more than 20 minutes 2⁄5 Location is below average Service is average(nothing negative, however nothing positive). I’ve been coming here almost my whole life as I’ve lived in Simi. I’ve had some really GOOD food from here and some really BAD food. It all depends on how long its been there. I’m writing the review because I’ve noticed the business trying to work harder to be better for customers. When I walked in I saw nearly all of the assortment being freshly made, a credit card machine FINALLY! Hooray!, and a focus to keep the place neat and clean. Don’t come here if you want authentic Chinese sit-down styled food. Don’t come here for Panda Express. This place is way better than the place across the street from target or imperial off of LA Ave/Yosemite.

After reading all the reviews, I was excited to come here for lunch today. Once I entered the place, it started to slip. I asked the girl behind the counter the procedure. One item plus rice/chow main, or two items plus rice/chow main. 4 bucks and 5 bucks. Cheap. I ordered the two items plus rice. She scooped enough rice into the container to feed a small country, and then she piled up spicy chicken and teryaki chicken into the container. I think I got a whole chicken between the items. My food was ready in moments, I had a ton of food, and it cost me $ 6.24. So far so good. I was doin A-OK. I then sat to eat. After a little while, I was finished. It was just within the barest parameters of «okay.» After I decided I was done eating, I think the chicken re-assembled itself and started moving around.
If your in that area looking for a meal, I’d honestly suggest you go to the Mongolian BBQ around the corner, or even the Thai Cottage right next door to this place. This place is literally flanked by two far superior«Chinese» restaurants. I’ve reviewed them both. Oof…I’ve got a rumbly in my tumbly.
