I have come to this restaurant twice now for lunch and both times I have not been impressed. The service is quick and the girl working at the front is extremely kind, but the food, in my opinion, lacks something essential that I cannot put my finger on. I have gotten the chow mein both times and it was just not good. At all. It’s a bit mushy and just rather tasteless. The Friend Rice was slightly better, but again, nothing to really write home about. I got Kung Pao Chicken this time and it was swimming in sauce and half of it was celery with very few chicken pieces. I was not expecting it to be as liquidy as it was, and there was absolutely NOKICK at all that made it taste like Kung Pao. The last time I went I tried the Japanese chicken, which was ok. I should have gotten the black pepper beef, as when I got a sample of that it was very tasty. But the Kung Pao Chicken was awful, and the orange chicken wasn’t much better. They DO give you huge portions, but I would rather the food taste better and have smaller portions than have food that’s not appetizing(to me at least) with huge portions. The last straw(for me, at least) was seeing a puddle of soy sauce leaking out of the glass container onto the table. It was slightly dry and sticky, which tells me that it had been sitting on the table for awhile without being cleaned. I’ll pass on New Panda. When I want REALLY good Chinese Food I’ll go to Red Szechuan on LA Avenue and Madera and skip here.

The New Panda sometimes tastes like Old Panda. It’s hit and miss depending on who’s cooking and how long the food has sat in the trays under the hot lamps. The tables and floors aren’t too clean(at least on a couple times I visited), so consider take-out if anything. You can ask them to cook-to-order which will at least be fresher.

Service is always friendly. Price is amazingly reasonable for the massive servings of tastiness. Chow Mein & Orange Chicken here is my favorite in comparison to Panda Express.

Food is great. It’s more than you could want to eat or enough to split if you can agree on the same thing. Everything is always hot and ready. Good customer service is always a plus!

New Panda is one of my go-to Chinese restaurants in Simi. Chow mein and fried rice are stacked like a tower with every order, along with the entrée you choose. I’m a big fan of their orange chicken(typical), peppered beef, and egg rolls. For under $ 7 you can get large portions of quality Chinese food that could easily feed 2.

Do you want Chinese food that tastes like it HASN’T been frozen? New Panda is the place to go! I can easily say this is the best Chinese food in town, if not the best I’ve ever had. You can taste the freshness in every bite, the food is packed with flavor and the people who run it are so nice. I recommend the Kung Pao Chicken and Spicy Wings if you think you can handle somewhat of a kick.

Oh my god their chow mein is out of control good. I also get their bbq’d pork. For a pretty small price you will get a mountain… I’m serious a MOUNTAIN of food. Could last 3 days for me lol. And that’s not a complaint because I love day old Chinese food. The people who run it are very nice and it’s pretty clean in there for the most part. Also the food never looks like it’s been sitting around.

This place is hands down the best Chinese food restaurant in Simi Valley! Food is delicious, quantity is excellent, and price is amazingly generous. The customer service is great as well. I recommend this place to anyone looking for Chinese food at a great price and amazing quality.

I have passed by this place plenty of times without really trying it until I saw a review on Unilocal that states how good the food was. It’s Chinese New Year so I was craving Chinese food so I came here after a long day with my boyfriend. It is a really unassuming place without any special décor or anything like a real Chinese restaurant and unlike any Panda Express. The service was great! «Great» being defined by Chinese standards meaning it was more accommodating than other Chinese restaurants. We asked to try several different sides first and the lady didn’t seem irked that we had yet to order anything. That’s rare. She answered a lot of our questions and oh my gosh, that food was freaking delicious!!! My boyfriend ordered half chow mein and half fried rice with the best orange chicken I have ever had in my life and beef and broccoli. Man, do they pack those containers! You don’t get that amount of food at Panda Express for the cheap price. I ordered a half pint of orange chicken for myself and then the cashew chicken. I wanted to go home and eat it with a side of vegetables so that I could eat«healthy». The cost was so great. At home, I dumped part of the food on my plate and was surprised by just how much fits into those tiny containers! I was worried I’d get ripped off ordering half a pint, but the food seemed endless! The cashew chicken was great and even though I poured less than half of a container on my plate, my plate was just full of food. They do not skimp on any of the food here! The food was fantastic. I did not really enjoy the fried rice at all and neither did my boyfriend, but the rest of it was great. The beef and broccoli was more broccoli, but it was cooked to utter perfection and I could not stop eating from my boyfriend’s place. Do I recommend this place? Heck yeah! It’s so affordable and they give you like triple the amount of food than any Panda Express. I will definitely be back. Also, they take credit cards for a small fee of $.65

Everything is this establishment is very good. The only item I was not fond of was the fried rice. The orange chicken in this location was probably the best orange chicken I have ever tasted. I really hope they get honey walnut shrimp in here.

This place gives you massive amounts of food and the quality of the food is actually pretty good. I always get half chow mein and half fried rice with bbq pork and beef with broccoli. I highly recommend coming here on an empty stomach. Also, if you ask them to cook you something fresh they will without any hesitation.

I have been eating here since the day it opened. It is definitely our go to Chinese«Fast Food» place to go! Panda Express has nothing on this place! The portions for the price a HUGE! My husband and I get one combo and share it, because it is so much food for only $ 7-$ 8! I think I just decided what I want for dinner! They go back and forth about accepting credit cards. Last time we went about 3 weeks ago they did, but there was a small fee.

I had this place for the first time the other day, it was worth it for $ 7 I got chow mein and Beef and Broccoli and Spicy Chicken, it was all really good but the Chicken wasn’t spicy at all it tasted like Teriyaki chicken! But I would definitely be back for that beef and broccoli!

4 stars based off staff and food if it was just food it would be 5. Older staff meaning who have worked there for at least 6 month+ are awesome and friendly the newer younger ones hopefully will get there with experience. Food is amazing and at a great price. Depending on if it’s dinner or lunch depends on what I get. Bowls are worth it if it’s for 1 meal. I usually have chow-mien in and orange chicken. And their 1 entrée combo plate is huge it’s almost 2 entrees and either chow-mien or rice or you can do 50⁄50. Food tastes better than Panda Express hands down along with the portions given and the price! It’s a must try in simi!

This place has been hiding from me. The giggle girl(she laughs all the time) told me they have been there for over ten years. It’s not fancy at all. But most of these places are not. The food is probably the best fast Chinese style I have ever had. Because I’m a foody I’m always trying to choose my white carbs carefully so I asked for stir fried veggies instead of noodles or rice and they were happy to do it. The portions are very big. We ate half and brought home the rest. Very inexpensive. New Panda is CASHONLY. They have an ATM. You will not be sorry.

Every time I go over to that area I see this place. I always wonder how it is. What kind of food they have. What’s it like? Well, today I went in to answer my curiosities. My buddy and I entered the place, and noticed that they only take cash. No credit cards, no debit cards, so if it’s not cashy, they won’t accept it. They had an ATM, but after discovering this, my buddy and I simply had to run down the parking lot, beyond the Wells Fargo, past the Citibank, and around the Chase to get to Bank of America so I could get 20 bucks from the ATM. We went back and looked up at the menu board. Their buffet-style spread was certainly not full. Every other container was empty. I got the two item combo, and my buddy got the one item combo.($ 11.50 total) I went with the Beef & Broccoli and the Orange Chicken. My buddy got something else. The lady scooped the items we asked for into our styrofoam containers and set them on a tray while we paid the bill. I grabbed the tray and my buddy went to fill our little water cups. The tray was heavy. We quickly found a table, sat, and began our meal. The Chow mien had alot of extra stuff in it. I kinda liked that. The Orange chicken was kinda soggy, but tasted okay. the beef & Broccoli was decent. Not terrific, but okay. We both ate our food. After we were done we both agreed«Meh…it’s okay» summed it up nicely. Recap: It’s cheap, it’s Cash Only, Meh… it’s okay.
