this place is a really kool place to eat if your into arabic food. its has a modern day crisp look with a touch of persian delight. a young man i met by the name of bret who works the front has a great attitude and is there to help and explain the menu to you and what they have to offer. the owner chef sam is very kind and polite and understands consumers expectations. the chefs who cook your food there are willIng to exceed and meet customer satisfaction /service. next time i come i will try there lamb plate. thank you chef sam and keep the kid bret there he brings a good vibe to the community of young people and he seems to have passion for the position he has. this place rocks. i give an a+ for food and attitude. dwayne

I heard about Sofreh Kabob House, I gave a try. The food, service and the people were kind. I would just recommend to serve a fresh onion with kabobs & choice of rice or bread with all kabobs.

Just had the beef kubideh with white rice and it was delicious. The kabob was seasoned to perfection. Their kubideh sandwich was also very tasty! Would just recommend that they have samak on the side for the kabob

I love kabobs and am happy to see more locally owned small businesses in Simi. I know the business is new, and they still have some growing pains to work out. Please give them a try! Note that this is probably a «to-go» kind of place and the menu«steps» add up in price very quickly. Food: The meat was good quality. Very healthy tasting. The meat was grilled to order. The rice was good. Adding a sauce bar or spice corner would let the customer add more flavor if they choose. Environment & Value: Somehow, our bill(for 2 people) came out to $ 45. I’m not sure if it was an error, or if that really was the price. We got 2 meals, and shared a soda. I agree with the previous poster– I think they want this to be a «to-go» or catering only place. Only 2 tables inside to eat at. The high tables have signs that say«To-go» only. We told them it was«for here» but they gave the meal to us in to-go bags with plastic forks and knives anyway. I didn’t feel welcome to eat in the store. But after paying all that money, I didn’t want to take it to eat in front of the Tv! I was hoping for a better dining experience at that price point. The meat quality was very good, but I don’t think we could pay this price for that type of dining experience again.

I’ve been looking for a local kabob and sandwich place and finally found it. We had an excellent experience here. The kabobs are flavorful and the sandwich sauces are on spot! The service was excellent and the guy at the register answered any questions I had. I ordered the beef koobideh and the ground beef cutlet sandwich. Both were delicious. I will definitely be going back!

I was excited about this as I love Kabobs. I went there for lunch, which is only a half hour long, and I was instantly disappointed with the time it was going to take, 10 minutes to cook my food, during lunch! Way to long for lunch. After waiting for about 14 or 15 minutes my food was done finally. I asked for extra butter and was told that extra butter cost more, I would get one extra pat of butter free this time but next time it would cost money. For butter??? It’s like charging me for mustard for my hot dog, WTF. The lobby is poorly designed. The kitchen is huge and it leaves little or no space in the lobby. The menus are a bear to read as you have to strain your neck to look at the ceiling almost to read them. As for the food I was happy with the quality. The ground beef kabob and rice, which is what I had, was good but not fab. The meat had a nice season to it but was nothing to write home about. I would of loved a lot more butter to put on my rice but was afraid to ask for more. I was going to ask for lemon too but thought it might be too expensive. My guess is that these guys are looking to do mostly catering and not much of a eat-out/dine-in business.

I absolutely love Mediterranean food, esp kebabs so when I found out about this place I wanted to try it out. First of all the prices are on the high end considering any sides of rice and salad are an extra cost. Second it was extremely disappointing that the kebabs lacked flavor with no seasoning including salt. Third the rice was also not seasoned. Fourth my food was given to me in a take out box and I was a «for here» order. Overall out of the four Mediterranean restaurants this is definitely last on my list. If you want amazing food, go to The Greek House Café.

It’s not even open yet! Don’t get excited for Persian food and drive up there cuz you will be disappointed! Looks like they just moved in… would have been nice to know before we went up there.
