After looking at 4 different places with sales people that were so into themselves, it was refreshing to talk with Dad who was able to explain the difference in pricing and did not keep trying to upsell. I bought a great mattress a price better than the others and it was a fair negotiation. I’d go there over and over. Tom is very regular also.

We worked with Tom to get a new mattress for my 12 year old son. Tom helped us stay in our budget while making sure we got exactly what we came in for and more. This is our second purchase from mattress firm. We will be back!

I have to admit that I dread going into mattress stores. The only thing that might be worse is buying a discount used car when it comes to the upsell from the salesfolks and the shell game that they constantly seem to play with the prices and the add-​ons. Tom at the Mattress Firm in Skokie was completely different. They got me in on the promise of the $ 187 queen set advertised in the window. I needed a mattress for our guest room, so it didn’t need to be fancy, but I came in prepared for the upsell and the battle. I came in and told Tom what I wanted pointing to the poster. He asked if it was okay to show me what I was asking for and I said it didn’t matter since the only thing that the mattress was going to do is hold up the sheets on the bed. Tom understood that I wanted what I wanted and was completely friendly and understanding. The transaction was fast and smooth. He sold me a new bed frame and arranged for delivery for the following day. I really appreciated his help, his professionalism and his straightforwardness.

Went looking for an adjustable bed. The employee was not very helpful or informative. When I asked him if we can move mattresses on to the adjustable base so I could see how they feel, I was told no. I explained that if I can’t try a particular mattress then he would lose the sale. The employee again said that he would not move any mattresses. So my husband and I walked out. Wish there was a lower score than one star.

I just want to say I got a great new mattress at Mattress Firm. I wasn’t sure how to go about finding the right mattress and Tom the salesman got me up to speed. I purchased a Tempurpedic Cloud Luxe and I am now sleeping like a baby. After many years of restless sleep I think I finally found a mattress that gives me proper support and allows me to get the best sleep ever. mattress firm had a lot of choices but Tom was able steer me in the right direction. I wish I hadn’t put off buying a new mattress, this was a lot easier than I thought. Thank you Mattress Firm!

Mattress firm is great. Ask for Rod. He is a great man with all the knowledge in the world. I just bought my first tempur-​pedic and I’m ecstatic to give it a try. No pushy salesmen like other competitors. The fifth place I visited and got the best price.
