The people at this store really know what they’re talking about! Sometimes I need help and I find that I’m wandering for a while looking for an employee, but when I find one they are able to answer any and all crafty questions I have. The store is clean and organized well!

The people who work here are really great. If I’m checking out and not using a coupon that could save me money on my purchase, they pause to get a flyer and give it to me so I can get the discount. I’ve had a few things custom framed here and I love how they turned out and the person who helped me through the process was great. I recommend only doing that when it’s 60% off. I couldn’t believe how expensive custom framing is — and that’s everywhere not just at Michael’s. They did an awesome job though and I would definitely do it again if it was on sale. Great location — friendly people.

Being a crafty lady, I need a crafty store and Michaels sure does it!
This location is so convenient for me so I’m always here. I never have to worry about a parking spot and I know I can find whatever I need here and on the cheaper side.
Every time I come to this location I am encouraged to use numerous coupons at once, I love this idea! I love the fact I can use numerous coupons EVERYTIME I go. I end up using 2 coupons each time, and if I only have 1 coupon on me the cashier offers me another one.
The store is always Clean and easy to locate things and I love this idea because, since I’m always working on numerous projects findings things easy is always to my advantage so I can be in and out. I also love the fact there’s always workers on the floor to help and assist me as well! You don’t see this often at any stores.
This store is also always very well stocked, so I can always find what I need and know this location will have it.
No question is too stupid in this store, the employees make it easy for you to shop in this store for hours and not look at you funny, they’re all also there to help you and not have a problem answering any questions.
I give this place 100 stars instead of 5 !

Oh Michaels. I have a love hate relationship with you. I love the time I can spend whittling away just looking at beads, scrapbook stickers, albums, paint, birdhouses… My hate is mostly due to the fact that I can wander around for hours and forget that I have to go to work or eat lunch. Lol. I can spend a ridiculous amount of money in there so I try and limit my excursions. I usually buy scrapbook stickers and décor but also find great prices on frames and paints. For Christmas I like their wire racks up front that you can get some cute stocking stuffers for a buck or two. I also like the candy molds and baking things they sell. Oh and if you like «nostalgia «candy they have all different kinds up front. They have an app for your phone and you can almost always find a coupon usually for forty percent off. It’s really a great store for whatever you need. My only reason for four stars and not five is that I don’t find the staff very friendly. I was there for about forty five minutes and not once did anyone say hello to me not even the associate who was pricing in the same aisle I was in. It won’t stop me from going there since I always find what I need but some people may be turned off from going there a second time if they do not get any assistance.

Great staff and management ! Always very helpful and kind. This store is always immaculate too.
But the cash out line always TAKES TO LONG. It can be very frustrating when you run in for something quick and stand in a line 6 – 8 people deep with 2 cashiers. Also trying to find an employee for any questions at times can be difficult.
Why I say state great staff and great management is due to fact is they truly care about their customers. They take time to help you with your project and offer suggestions. Even at the register the mention coupons and go over any questions without hesitation.
I also am aware on how Corporate America works. The lack of staff I’m sure has NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. But I’m hoping that someone will see this and think about hiring a few other employees.

Staff are not knowledge about the products, cannot answer simple questions and are extremely rude. Asked two people about sewing items and one actually told me no one in the store had knowledge about that subject and that I should try Jo-​Ann Fabrics. Good thing I know enough about crafting to navigate my way, feel bad for others who need serious assistance or guidance.

RUDE staff. I visited yesterday and while waiting in line to check out, one if the two cashiers left her post to come over and rearrange the line «ropes» because some customer had moved them not to her liking. She grumbled about it as if I’d moved them making me uncomfortable. And never returned to her station despite a line of people. Then the cashier that did ring me out was slow, and when I realized I had a gift card after she’d rung me up was very rude about taking it. Whatever happened to «the customer is always right?». Sheez. I will never return to this place and that’s saying something since I have a gift card!!!

Any crafting needs I have, Michaels has the item for it. I have bought lots of beads here for when I make jewelry, and this place pretty much provided everything I needed to bedazzle a jean jacket for Halloween this year. I have also gotten many pictures framed here. While they all came out great, I highly recommend getting a coupon or waiting until they have a deal on framing, as it can be very expensive.

As a crafter, I’ve visited this Michael’s location in Smithfield many a time over the years. For a short period, I feel like I was here at least twice a week. I’ve spent countless hours and countless dollars here.
I like this Michael’s store because it’s usually always clean and is rarely packed with people. I don’t like this Michael’s because it can be hard to find associates on the floor if you need assistance and some of the isles in the home décor area of the store can be a bit cluttered.
I’ve found that they usually always have everything I’m looking for in stock and it’s bigger than more of the other Michael’s stores I’ve been into.
You also can’t be the fact that there is always a coupon out there to use towards your purchase and most of the time it’s for 40% off a regular priced item, or either a 15% or 25% off your entire purchase.

My girlfriend drags me here once a week for craft supplies. No I don’t have to carry a man purse, thanks. The have a large selection of frames, which is why we stopped in yesterday. Large selection of frames.
They have pretty much anything you need to get your craft project done.
Found out they have cake decorating classes as well.
