Came here for dinner with friends. It was a good meal but still prefer Prime when spending money in this range. 3 of us had 2 pound lobsters that didn’t really look like 2 pound lobster. See pics for yourself. Cream of spinach was not like any cream of spinach we have ever ordered. It wasn’t chopped and minced. It was sautéed spinach with some cream over it… weird and not what you expect. The marinated skirt steak was good but nothing spectacular. The wedge salad was alright.

Wednesday night prix fixe wine pairing dinner: Kick-off with a hot popover with a sea salt sweet butter. First course: Spicy tuna roll was delicious, very fresh, and paired with an Orvietto. Main course: Seafood risotto included clams, mussels and lobster, paired with a tasty Sangiovese. Desert: Flourless chocolate cake; dense with a raspberry Coulis and paired with a fortified Malbec. Everything was tasty with a nice presentation and description of the wine pairing. Fantastic value at $ 40 with the wine pairings.

The kids food and our raw oysters came out pretty fast which was wonderful. Out of my 3 boys, my eldest tried an raw oyster. And he liked it. Now my wife, elder son, and I, are waiting for our entrées. I ordered the Fish of the Day, which was the whole Branzino, which is also known as a European Sea Bass. My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass and my eldest son ordered the Sushi. All the entrées was nice. Nothing to go crazy over. I guess Florida set the bar. The best part of this was the mushrooms with truffle butter! Please note that this is my 2nd time trying this place. In good Conscience I cannot go with a three-star!

I live about 45 minutes away and will continue to make the trip for the best sushi on Long Island! The montauk, the monsoon & the king krab club rolls are amazing!!! Ive also had the seabass & the lobster roll and lobster mac&cheese all out of this world. Ron the manager and Angelica our waitress were more than accomodating which made the visit that much more great! Highly recommend this restaurant

Great service and the food was amazing. Upscale atmosphere yet laid back and casual so not to feel stuffy! The wine was amazing as well, thanks for a great meal!

H2o is always my go to for last minute plans! Always good, and with a variety of food. I highly recommend the following dishes: For appetizer, montauk roll is amazing! So flavorful and unique. Also the marinated skirt steak is amazing! For my main dish, I love their grilled salmon with the siracha cream. Such a light dinner yet you will be comfortable! For dessert I am obsessed with The Teardrop, it’s a hazelnut chocolate mousse, with an almond sponge cake. Just too amazing! Def come to h2o, you will not be disappointed!

Prices high. Limited menu. Sushi place that doesn’t have hot sake. Not impressed. My wontons were cold.

Sorry H20, I gave you two chances and was disappointed both times. I must start with the prices; they should immediately slash everything by 20%. The locale, the ambiance and the quality do NOT justify the prices! So we were seated with a big smile and overall the service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the entire menu including the cocktails and wine selection. He was also very attentive. The bus boys were great too, my water was full and plates were cleared quickly(maybe a little too quickly). So the meal began with the house popovers which were honestly the highlight of my meal. They were accompanied by a nice light butter… the lobster bisque was underwhelming. I know it’s a bisque but not even one chunk of lobster, Overall it wasn’t that impressive and a little too sweet. My husband had the New England clam chowder which was pretty good. We split the special salad of arugula, pine nuts and Parmesan and there was absolutely nothing special about it and the dressing was flavorless. The entrees were incredibly disappointing. I ordered the $ 38 beef wellington and the quality of the steak was not great(although it was cooked to perfection)…the dough was WAY too heavy and took away from the enjoyment of the meat. The creamed spinach was tasty and I liked that it was not chopped. So my husband and I split our meals; I had the filet Wellington and he had the lobster, for $ 49(the millennium #2)which was a HUGE disappointment. It really was no big deal and the meat was kind of tough. The spices were also kind of odd. It was like they were trying too hard to make a lobster into something different when we just wanted the lobster! Also it wasn’t easy to eat and the shell was not well prepared. The mashed potatoes were better than the lobster. Overall I am not impressed with the food here. I do LOVE the service and the location is convenient but HUGE miss on the food. If this place was less expensive I’d give it three stars but because of the pricing I was hoping for more and therefore am reviewing it on a higher scale!

This is not high end dining compared to other establishments but I get the impression they would like to be. The popovers were great and the butter was nicely done, that was a great touch… But… The menu is confusing to me, it tries to be sushi, surf and turf restaurant. I wish they would stick with one theme and do it well. I found the rice on the rolls to not be great… not properly made, overcooked. Also the rolls are so Americanized I cannot call it Japanese fare. I had the skirt steak which I found to be overcooked and dry… Sorry, I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close to where I live but it failed to deliver. The service is great and the staff is accomodating, the atmosphere is right but the food failed to live up to the hype and price…

This is the finest seafood restaurant on Long Island PERIOD! The seafood is super fresh, everything smells like the beach, not fish which is exactly how it’s supposed to be. Michael, our server, was excellent! Very attentive and suggestions were very good. The lobster bisque was light and fresh, the clams tasted like the came right from the sound & the sea scallops were PERFECTLY cooked. I have tried a lot of seafood restaurants and this is where I keep returning too!

Blue point oysters were fresh and flavorful Shrimp & lobster wontons were not something I would order again. They lacked flavor Young kale salad was ok, but lacked flavor I ordered the keep it simple swordfish grilled with mango salsa. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious but the salsa was bland. The asparagus side was a touch oily and slightly over cooked The vanilla bean crème brûlée was delicious Over all the meal was above average and the restaurant was clean with s nice atmosphere. I would recommend

Haven’t updated my original review of H2O but a recent experience has nudged me on. This restaurant continues to improve: its menu, its service, the ambiance especially now that there is outdoor dining(next to a fire pit when it gets chilly is soooo nice) are very special. I highly recommend H2O for a Happy Hour drink or extravagant celebration. Enjoy!

Just had a light sushi dinner here this evening and must say this place was very good! Hubby and I sat at the high top table near the bar area and service was very good. Food was also very good. We started with the spicy tuna rice cracker which was good. Then split 2 rolls, the H2O(our fave) and the Triple Threat(good but not great). I love that you can order the rolls without rice(rolled in seaweed alone or in cucumber). My compliments to the sushi chef, as the fish was fresh and presentation was nice. My only complaint is that the portions are small compared to the price

Not really worth the money. Everything about this place was mediocre– besides the prices. The sushi was okay, but there’s equally good/if not better places nearby that cost less. I would have given it 4 stars if it was more reasonably priced. The service was amazing though!

My fiancée and I go to this restaurant whenever we are in the area. The food is always great and the servers are fantastic! The manager, Katie is just wonderful. She is there anytime we are. working hard. making everyone happy. Not afraid to roll up her sleeves and take care of any problem that may come her way. Kudos to H20 ! You’re doing a great job!

Still love the service here and continue to come back over and over. I took a chance this time and ordered the sea bass, big mistake! I make my sea bass with an oriental sauce and I have had sea bass with many different flavored, just not tomato sauce. I tried it, not a fan! I would not recommend ordering the sea bass. I will stick with the Wellington and never change my dish again unless it is a free taste test…

Went here the other night with my friend and his family and I expected it to live up to Prime but I was sadly mistaken. Even though it was the same owners it just wasn’t as good. I can’t say that the whole meal was bad. We started with an appetizer of the friend oysters and shrimp and lobster wontons which were both amazing. For my meal I got the Filet Wellington because I am not a big fish fan. The waitress had told me that they are usually cooked medium rare and I said that is perfect so that was what I was expecting. When I got my meal with was very well done(no pink at all). It still tasted good but it just would have been nicer if it was cooked how I expected it to be. I can’t speak for everyone else’s meals. I know my friend and his mom both got lobster rolls and loved them. We also got the lobster mac and cheese side dish which was very good also. I will definitely be going back to prime again but I can’t say I would want to come back to this pricey place that was just ok.

I’ve come to the bar here and enjoyed… the food was beyond sub par for the price. I got a filet medium. The brought out a dry beyond well done steak then a minute later brought out cold overseared red rare steak with zero juice. They finally brought a beautiful medium rare filet that was overseared yet again and lacking any juice. I suggested to the manager with an attitude that the chef turn down the grill to avoid over searing and drying the meat out. she continually stared at me so I said«don’t get mad at me I didn’t cook it». Shrimp cocktail was rough. Stuffed flounder roulade was stuffed with bones. Drinks took 20 minutes and we were never asked if we wanted a refill because our waitress was a ghost throughout dinner. $ 192 for a four person dinner with no alcohol where where my steak was credited off yeah definitely not worth it
