Christmas Tree Shop

My wife walked in to look for a new carpet for the house today around 6:30 Sunday may 15. And the female employee that was working around that rug area was very rude. My wife rolled out the rug to see what it looks like and how long the carpet was and she complained, asking in a rude tone if she was going to put that back. My wife said that she would put it back once she finished. While my wife continued to shop and lay the rugs on the floor, the employee kept sighing and tapping her foot impatiently. When my wife finished looking and started putting back the rugs, the employee yelled and said that she was doing it all wrong and told her to stop. Needless to say, I felt bad, left the store and did not buy anything. I’m not going back anymore.

The prices are amazing. But the checkout is the worst! They literally have 16 registers and no matter what time I go in there is only 2 cashiers and 1 person at the service desk for Returns Only. I shop here very often but I have to allow an extra 15 minutes just for checkout time.

Shopping at this store I walked in 15 minutes before closing to grab one thing quick. Instead if being greeted I was yelled at and told I shouldn’t be walking in this late to the store. I went to grab my item and while heading to the register I overheard a worker say «I’m sorry for saying this but what are you all doing here, you need to get out the fuck out for real. I wanna go see my family «I understand that it’s Easter but no employees should speak to customers that way. Very disappointed

Been coming here for years and this place has yet to get better yes there are a few hidden gems but sadly under a bunch of trash. Every tin I walk into the store someone knock over a glass cup and it shatters management need to learn how to better reduce shrink. Speaking of manager I have never in the past 6 years seen o e on the floor unless it was Jim with the hola and palm trees shirt on. «God I Hope Not» there furniture never sells because just like home goods it’s too damn expensive. But I have to give credit where it’s due they have been able to keep the doors open and the lines seem to moderately move without a hitch. There seems to always be someone in the snacks or cosmetics departments stocking so that’s a good sign. But this store has a long way too go before its acceptable.

It’s the holiday season and I have been able to get my hands on wrapping paper, ribbons and such at very reasonable prices which I love. I was in the hunt for a dinner table for my mother-​in-​law and I found it here too. There was no one around the furniture section so I walked to the front of the store and approached the nearest employee and this woman had such a nasty attitude. Walked up to her, said hi, and she turned the other way and started walking away from me. I really needed that table and had no time to go to another store so I got in front of her, made sure she looked at me in the face and asked her to find someone to assist me with a table. She quickly grab the nearest employee, which it was a young girl and clearly wasn’t going to be able to help me with the table, but thankfully the girl saw a male employee and he came by to help me. He was super nice and informed us of the process and everything. Even the cashier and the guys at the loading dock were way nicer than this woman which shouldn’t be allowed near the public. I have never experience a rude employee in a business before so I don’t know if I want to come back.

Dropped in at this location to pick up some last minute nautical décor for a party, and as always CTS pulled through.
The store itself is a decent size and although they are already transitioning to fall and winter items (come on its mid August), we found what we were looking for.
Some of the aisles were cramped and difficult to get through due to entitled customers, but the staff here was pleasant and we got in and out fairly quickly. Just one tip, be prepared to fight to get through some areas of the store during high traffic times and seasons.

I like this store. They have a lot of stuff for cheap. I don’t go in often enough but maybe I should.

Having grown up on Cape Cod, I have fond memories of the Christmas Tree Shop (do you guys know which one I am talking about? In Sagamore… come on, yes?!) Anyways, I remember that it had extremely fragile things, stale candy, and stuff that smells bad.
I am happy to report that this is not the reality anymore (or, at least, at this store). In fact, they have some great finds! Large Dr. Bronner’s magic soap for $ 10.99 (when it is around $ 17 at Whole Foods) and inexpensive cookware that may only be used a few times. Maybe it is because I am older, too, but I found their stuff sort of rad.
‘Twas busy when I went (Sunday afternoon), but they had all lanes open (but customers who didn’t have a clue — so a long wait) and the store was clean. Woo.

We were the youngest people in here by about 30 years. If you’re looking for lots of things, I think Christmas Tree Shop should always be your first stop because you never know what you’re going to find and it will probably be the cheapest here. This store did not disapoint.

I kind of love this place. Yes, it’s straight-​ghetto, but it’s straight-​ghetto with charm. You can find a lot of useful knick-​knacks here. Their stock is very interesting and changes all the time. Where else can you find $ 2 batteries, a scalp massager, home decorations, lube, cheap furniture, and holiday decorations under one roof?
However, the stock hasn’t been fantastic lately as of Dec 2013.

I don’t know why I thought a Christmas Tree Shop would be any more pleasant near Christmas time, but it really wasn’t. Everything is cheap price-​wise, but for obvious cheap product reasons.
Broken items and disorganized displays were the least of my worry with people smashing into me with their carts everywhere I turned. I’m pretty sure they won’t run out of those felt stockings anytime soon, so I don’t know why they rushed to get ahead of me!
I don’t know why I didn’t learn in my last visit that I would ultimately leave disappointed and bruised.

Last week I bought my first Christmas tree from this location. First of all the store is full of items that anyone might think they need. The sales people and others working there are very helpful and courteous. However, what really made me write this review was the customer service and professionalism I encountered by dealing with GREG! Thank you very much Greg for going above and beyond your normal duties and responsibilities! Dealing with you has been a fantastic start to this Holiday season. Merry Christmas!

Checkout lines are always full. Hint go to the one near parking lot farthest from Staples entrance and the line goes quickly.
Left today with only a few items. Will be back soon and will bring a friend always more fun shopping with others.

As the late Whitney Houston used to belt out… and I will always love you. Well that’s how I feel about CTS. Been to a couple throughout ma (I assume there’s still one on the cape too). I always leave there happy. This has become my (somewhat) yearly pilgrimage with my east coast friend Michelle. A day of shopping tat always includes this place (and usually TJmaxx and whatever else we feel like).
Yes — it was early October and they are already pushing Cristmas. But come on, it’s in the name. And if I had not been getting on a plane to return west in a few days, I would have easily spent another $ 20 on giant ornaments and things equally as cute — and I’m jewish!
But they have so much stuff cheap. You wil leave there with things you didn’t need, it’s a fact. Just deal with it. All sorts of food items (red mill flours and mixes) candy and chips, cheap jewelry, candles, lots of makeup — even good names, cards, curtains (best place to find them!!!), carpets, kitchen items, baking, dishes, furniture, and so much more. Can’t wait till next year!

Awesome deals if you have the time/​energy to wade through the tacky garbage. I got 13 mason jars here for $ 13. Staff are funky/​funny. The whole store is organized chaos. Good stuff.

If you’re looking for the perfect little tchotchke, it’s probably here. I found a little nautical box perfect for storing Q-​tips in my semi-​nautical-​themed bathroom. And they have the best, THE BEST cheap curtain rods in the business. Seriously. You might want to use your own screws with them, but we put them up in our bedroom and living room and you wouldn’t believe me if I said they were from there. Basically, if you want some seasonal kitsch, this is the place to go. Also, cinnamon brooms, always, at the entrance. Smells like love.

Please, for the love of God, have more than one register open, when 5 or more people are waiting to pay! I was in line for half an hour waiting to pay for my cosmetic products. The lady holding up the line was filling out some warranty, or whatever, just a clusterf**k. You have the best prices on soaps, shampoo, hair mousse etc., but I just might not go there if I have to wait 30 minutes in line.

And you thought the people on the north shore are bad? Welcome to slummerville’s very own Christmas Tree Shops! Its actually not horrible, but I probably won’t shop at this one again. Its much smaller than the one in Lynnfield, however, much more organized I think, but I just did not like being there.
Its basically the same thing everywhere you go, but I just didn’t like this particular store at all. I felt like there was too much open space (as if I am really begging for cluttered stores), and their travel size toiletries were in bins all the way to the ceiling, so what would happen if you needed something that far up? Goodluck finding someone that works there.
So yeah, there is parking, there is cheap stuff and you will definitely find bargains. Have fun… I will continue to shop in Lynnfield.

I have to say moving to Boston, I had probably about 5 separate people tell me to go to the «Christmas Tree Shop» to get stuff for my new house, and I thought they were all crazy. Ummmm I don’t need a bunch of wreaths and santa hats as decoration in my house, thanks, is what I thought. But little did I know that The Christmas Tree Shop would be the land of plenty for me and Matt J. They have almost anything you could possibly ever need and more here, as long as you are willing to spend the time to search for it in the store…
This store is big. And for kitchen stuff it is a must for anyone — BUT I still haven’t been able to find a pie pan here! Kind of frustrating! They have pretty much everything else though, and everything seems to be $ 5 or less ha ha Oh, they didn’t have pint glasses either… And for frames, WOW! So CHEAP! And they are actually nice and look great once they are hung up on your wall! We were sad to see that their small furniture pieces were a bit pricier than we thought they would be… even for a magical Christmas Tree Land such as this…
So if you are feeling like your house needs a face lift, but if you are on a stipend like I am or don’t want to spend a lot, The Christmas Tree Store is like a gift that keeps on giving!
