All you can eat for $ 20…I am game. I only been here once, but I frequently venture to the edison location. Be warn, please order what you can eat and then order more, the waitress told me they will charge extra for wasting. Plus wasting food is unforgivable.

This place has great sushi and a great atmosphere. The all you can eat is a great deal with a large selection, and you can leave completely full and satisfied, if that is what you desire! Great quality sushi!

About a year ago I decided to get take out from here, not knowing it was an all you can eat sushi restaurant. I would have probably given a respectable 3 stars. The sushi was satisfactory. But 3 star sushi very quickly becomes 5 when it’s unlimited and only $ 22. Total game changer. It’s very difficult to find good quality, all you can eat sushi restaurants. It’s also hard to find all you can eat sushi restaurants with such an extensive special rolls menu. We ordered a ton of kitchen items such as udon soup, gyoza, chicken katsu, seaweed salad, veggie and shrimp tempura, etc. I can’t even remember everything we ate; it was that absurd. We also shared over 100 pieces of sushi between four people(yes, we ate all of it). We got sashimi, hand rolls, and 6 different kinds of special rolls. We were amazed how quickly everything came out. Everything was absolutely delicious and artfully plated. There is no limit. After we consumed literally pounds of Japanese food, the waitress brought the menu back out to see if we wanted more! This would have cost over $ 60 a person at another, equally good, sushi restaurant. It’s no wonder the line to get a seat here is out the door. Definitely make a reservation if you want to come on a Fri or Sat night or you’ll be waiting for at least 45 mins like we were. But it was definitely worth the wait.

Solid sushi for an all you can eat, the fish has always been fresh and tastey, portions are adequate, the selection is excellent and the location is solid for a night out afterwards in downtown Somerville. We’ve gone several times and will continue to when we want to get our serious sushi eating on. It is BYOB, so hit the liquor store around the corner on Main Street.

The food here is great and reasonably priced. I’m not a fan of the service. They have rushed me out on multiple occasions when it was busy.

We come to this BYOB quite a bit and have always been pleased with the food and service. Parking in Somerville can be tough but there is plenty of free space at the parking deck a ½ block away. Be warned, this restaurant is loud and noisy and you can expect to wait 20 mins or longer if you arrive prime time(6:30 — 8:00pm) on Friday or Saturday nights; but it’s worth the wait. They serve quality, tasty sushi that is artfully presented on platters. They also have a nice selection of other dishes for you to try(soups, seaweed salad, tempura fish & vegetables, etc) but if you’re not a fan of sushi, I’m not sure why you would come here. They hand you two paper menus and pencils-just check-off your selections and hand it to the server. The food comes pretty quickl so if you’re hungry, you’ll be eating in no time. It’s all-you-can-eat but they discourage waste by warning you that they’ll charge for anything left uneaten. Save some room for the ice cream which is included in the price. Bottom line, this fun restaurant is a tremendous value and well worth the trip if you enjoy sushi!

My absolute favorite place to go for sushi. It always comes out amazing(the Edison roll is my all time favorite), the appetizers are just as good(seaweed salad is to die for), and the place is really nice. It’s small, but comfortable and a good place to go out for dinner on a special occasion or just because. Only reason why it doesn’t get all five stars for me is the service. It isn’t too terrible, but you really can’t understand what they are trying to say to you, and they also like hovering over you and walking by you to to stare and watch you and see if you are done or just ready for another round of orders. You almost feel rushed. Other than the service, this is the place I request to go for special occasions or the the family is wanting to go out somewhere nice to eat. The sushi is stellar and I have yet to find a place that does it better. It’s also five minutes away from home which is great.

The best sushi around! Sometimes the service isn’t the best. Probably because they take too many tables that they can handle. Should try to focus on customers more and they would do even better !

The best sushi in NJ. The spicy salmon roll is the best I’ve had anywhere. Also, the Edison roll is unbelievable. Service is usually on point, constantly refilling drinks. I’ve tried multiple sushi places in NJ and I always end up coming back.

Great food… fresh and delicious. Attentive service. Can’t beat the price for all-you-can-eat sushi.

I eat here regularly — about once every two months for the past 3 years. The ‘all you can eat’ menu is an unbeatable deal. You get to try all types of sushi that you may not risk trying if you had to pay individually. The variety is great; the food is tasty and the rolls are unique with Jersey names. Why only three stars? The service is lacking. The servers are rude and abrupt. Once I was sitting at the sushi bar — after being convinced to sit there– when mid meal, I was asked to shift over so a couple could sit together. Another time, a friend decided to dock the tip due to the low service level and the server came back to the table demanding to know where her tip was. I still eat here cause the food and prices make up for the service.

This is hands-down the best AYCE Sushi I have had in NJ. If someone knows of a better one, let me know. This place deserves all the traffic of the abysmal Sushi Village in Edison and more. What makes this location so special: 1. Menu Selection — For the most part, comparable to other AYCEs, BUT with additions that some others cheap out on, like spicy seaweed salad, beef skewers, and a special roll of the day. Ice cream dessert is also included. 2. Service — Really attentive and friendly for a AYCE. I’ve been to other AYCEs where it feels more like a Chinese restaurant(not in a good way) than a Japanese establishment. Given the C-Pop that plays I’m pretty sure this Sushi Palace isn’t run by Japanese chefs, but the service is pretty good and the waitresses are actually very helpful. I’ve noticed them encouraging patrons to just order first round and letting them know they can always order more, as well as answer questions about fish thickness preferences(I kid you not, who the hell asks about this at an AYCE?) without giving attitude. 3. Food quality — They don’t skimp on fish. Enough said! 4. Ambiance — Looks more American in décor, but nice and relatively modern. Not dirty or dingy. It’s the combination of everything above that makes Somerville Sushi Palace a head above the rest. Now that I know it exists, I may have to bite the bullet and drive 40 mins for a decent AYCE experience.

This place is fantastic but come hungry. The all you can eat menu is amazing and a very good value. Try the Edison roll it’s one of my favorites. The pumpkin tempura goes great with the ice cream. This place is BYOB and takes reservations which I recommend on Fridays and Saturdays.

I drove half an hour from Staten Island with my family on New Years Eve for dinner at Sushi Palace for the first time. I came here from a friends recommendation, and what s great way to end the year! All you can eat sushi for $ 21 was a great deal. It was super crowded when we arrived and we were 30 min late for our reservation, but we only had to wait 10 – 15 mins and the staff was very friendly. There was a lot of selection and you can order as much as you want. The fish was also pretty fresh which is not an easy find(for the price). We will definitely be going back and I’m so happy we found this gem!

I have been here a number of times over the past few years. The Resturant has a great deal of all you can eat menu for about twenty five dollars. The selections include soups, appetizers, sushi, sashimi, noodles exct. Food is of good quality but come hungry and you will be charged extra if you leave any sushi on your plate.

Wow, this is the best execution of all you can eat sushi that I have ever seen. I’ve only experienced buffet style but this was awesome! You get to take your pick of sushi, sashimi, tempura, noodles, soups, teriyaki and it is served to you. It’s fresh and it’s so good. The restaurant itself is small and fills up quickly but I think it adds the the atmosphere; it’s an awesome place. I came earlier on a Friday night and it got packed in minutes! Nevertheless, I had my fill of sushi and there’s definitely something for everyone. It’s great if you want to have more than just your typical one or two rolls and really great for people who want to share. So so good, I can’t wait to come back!

If you’re hungry and craving sushi, this is where you gotta go! This restaurant has all-you-can-eat sushi for a great price(you can still order off menu instead)! Service is fast, food is good, and the price is right! FOOD: Naturally I had all-you-can-eat and ordered a few dishes. Started off with the Kani Salad. This salad is fudging delicious! It’s got crab, cucumber, and tempura flakes for extra crunch. It tastes so good I always get 2 at the same time! You can order hot foods as well if you don’t just want fish or want both! My favorite roll I always order is the Edison Roll. For serious, if you’re looking for the best special roll to get, this is it! It’s got shrimp tempura at its center, again, for that amazing crunch and it has delicious spicy tuna and spicy crab on top! Get it! Good quality fish! Oh and for those that are daring, ask for a side of sweet mango sauce to go along with it and dip the Edison piece in your soy followed by the sweet mango… Are you still alive after all that delishushness?!? Finish it off with some green tea and vanilla ice cream… I’m ready to leave this earth now. PRICE: It’s pretty competitive with other sushi restaurants with all you can eat. Ranges from low $ 20 for weekdays and as high as $ 24 – 25 for weekends. I believe if you order from the menu, rolls cost around $ 10+. SERVICE: Restaurant has great service. The ladies are quick and are always on top of things. My water cup is always filled and they are constantly checking up on you to see if you need anything else. Orders come out within 5 min or so(except for the sushi because that takes longer to make). ATMOSPHERE: The place is nicely decorated. Oriental vases around the perimeter of the interior, on window sills. A gorgeous aquarium at the entrance with exotic fish. There is the sushi bar in the back for single or couple eaters or for anyone who would like to see how your sushi is created! There are bench style seating available and a round bench table to accommodate larger parties. The restaurant is really nice. Overall, Sushi Palace is an amazing restaurant that will satisfy your craving for raw fish. The food and service are good and you won’t be disappointed.

This place is incredible! I’ve been here three times in the last two months. Everything is made to order and with great care unlike some all you can eat sushi buffets which just carelessly put out sushi for you to put on your plate. You can even get sashimi which is great since there is no rice to fill you up more. The entire kitchen menu is available with the all you can eat deal so you can get a little bit of everything including soups, dumplings, tempura, teriyaki, etcetera. Come hungry or else it is not worth it. I’ve enjoyed everything I have eaten here. I only wish that it was closer to my home.

Two of my favorite things combined! I love Somerville — its an awesome, down to earth fun town that makes me feel alive and a welcome escape from the high strung soccer moms and dads all over the rest of central and North New Jersey. They can keep Short Hills mall but I hope they don’t invade Somerville. As for Sushi Palace, its one of my favorite establishments — quality sushi at a great value and BYOB. The Sushi Palace here in Somerville has a nicer environment than the one in Edison and has the same good food. I am still trying to plan the ultimate Somerville guys night out with my boys. Sushi palace for dinner to Yestercade across the street to beat Teenage mutant ninja turtles. Both places are byob. Nice.

Went here on a Sunday night place was packed and there was about a 15 minute wait for a table. Upon sitting if you’re doing all You can eat you are given a special menu to choose from. Here’s what you need to know. $ 22.95(weekend) –You pay for anything you don’t eat so when in doubt order what you want and then order again. –The sushi comes out EXTREMELY fast. –The sushi is light and the quality is about average. I would return but in definitely not in any type of rush to get back here I would have rather spent the money on quality sushi and just got less. The rolls have a lot of rice and are on the smaller side.

Sushi palace is all you can eat sushi. Monday through Friday its 20.99 and Saturday and Sunday it’s 22.99. On a Sunday night it was pretty crowded. A party of two was told we would be seated in 15 minutes and we were. Since the place was so packed the tables are literally on top of each other. When they sat us we were basically elbow to elbow with the couple next to us. We asked to have another table and they accommodated us. That was nice. They give you two sheets of paper when your seated and you write in your order. One sheet is for soup/salads/hot plates and the second is for sushi. They have about 12 special rolls to choose from, standard Maki rolls, sushi, and sashimi. The special rolls were good. Nor great not fair. Good. Hence the three stars. It’s definitely a step up from the store bought sushi but there are other sushi places in Somerville that are far superior. You can order as much as you want but if you don’t finish ¾ at least of it, you’re charged extra. They have a standard menu in addition to the all you can eat sushi menu cards. The sushi came out like rapid fire. I think in less than 3 min our salads were brought to us and then 2 minutes later our sushi. That was impressive. The fish still tasted fresh even though it’s definitely prepped in bulk. But be aware that it’s all you can eat because the diameter of the sushi rolls is smaller than a standard restaurant. It’s not the worst sushi place in the world and not the greatest place for a romantic date, but and if you’re looking to go HAM on some good sushi with friends or even alone, Sushi palace is the place.

I’ve been to the Sushi Palace in Iselin, Kingston, Somerville, and I have to say the Somerville location is my favorite. First, out of all 3, the décor at the Somerville location is the best. Second, I’ve noticed that when we request for 30 pieces of salmon(yes, I said 30, and yes, I know, we eat ALOT of salmon), the other locations tend to doubt my capability to eat them all, and skimp on the quantity, by giving half the amount we ask for, so at the other locations, I feel like we have to ask for 50 pieces in order to receive close to the amount we order. At Somerville, I was expecting the same, so I put down a massive order for salmon, and a bunch of rolls. The manager came over to me, and asked me if my friend and I would be able to finish the whole plate of food, and I assured him we would. When the plate of food arrived, not a single piece of fish or sushi was missed. As promised, my friend and I demolished the whole thing, and left incredibly stuffed and happy.
