I love this bar. The wings are delicious, the beer is cheap, the patrons are awesome, and one can watch any and all sporting events your heart desires. It’s the perfect balance for Somerville… Locals who have been coming here for years and the hipsters who just moved here. I’m sorry I ever doubted it.

I went to The Pub last nite, i usually go there at least 2 or 3 times per week to enjoy their wings and watch a game. i went their last nite and was accompanied by a female co worker, i noticed that after taking a seat on the far side, that the guy who i believe they call Frog was their and was obviously very drunk, i figured we were safe from his antics, but within 20 minutes he had made his way over and was dancing in front of our table, lifting his shirt and even when the manager came over and told him to stop, he did but returned within a few minutes. he became very angry, yelling but making now sense at all. this is a call out to the owners/management get this garbage out of your bar. the co worker i was with said that not only is he rude etc, but one of the ugliest guys she has ever seen, and really should keep his shirt on.

I stopped in here by chance after the Tufts homecoming game, and I got to witness what part of the college experience I missed while I spent my nights partying up off campus in Boston. The Pub caters to the spoiled kids of Tufts, and the crowd that day was definitely rowdy — to be expected of course! I didn’t get to eat any of the famed wings, but I had quite a few beers at the bar, and the bartenders were really attentive despite the large crowd. It’s not my scene and wouldn’t have been even if I was young, but still… good times. :)

This place is comprised of primates and goons. If you are looking for good food. You got lucky. Probably some of the best buffalo wings you’ll fibd anywhere. I am tough to impress in that field as well. Food never disappoints. It’s so good you end up enjoying the shenanigans of the fun loving wackos who fill the place up. Excellent food.

Heard through Unilocal wings where good and I was not disappointed… I eat wings everywhere and these I will come back for. Great service and great food. Five stars

Every time I’m here I find a new reason to not come back. Keep coming back because of the foosball and jukebox. Got punched a couple times by a bouncer on new years eve for no reason. Froggy and Stumbles are Great, think Froggy is gone now. Could be a fun time. College kids mixed with Medford locals makes this a very strange dive.

Just picked up some honey-glazed wings from here; the bartender, the chef, and the local regulars were so friendly! As for the wings: OH. MY. GOODNESS. There’s a reason this place has the reputation it does, and that reason is very, very tasty.

Wow that was bad. Not a good spot for dinner. Hard to believe this place is 4 stars. Slowwww service. Sit at the bar or expect to wait. Steak tips are good but everything else was subpar. Not one remotely healthy or low cal option on the menu. $ 2.50 for a soda refill. :-/They have few beers on tap but nothing impressive. A good spot to go with a friend for a beer for a game but not recommended beyond that

Wings! Yes, they are that good. But the bar feels like a dated sports bar with no atmosphere and squirrelly patrons. Maybe an off night?

Great local pub with an awesome eclectic crowd. The wings are out of this world and who doesn’t love playing keno? Trivia on weds is a great time. Staff is all awesome and froggie is the man. Love this spot.

I’m confused. Can someone explain to me how 2 liquor drinks, 2 pints, and 2 appetizers only costs $ 25? My vodka soda was exceptionally strong, and the tater tots hit the spot.(Not overly impressed with the onion rings but really WHOCARESITISSOCHEAP.) The music was also fun. Lots of TVs. An intoxicated neighbor at the bar kept telling my boyfriend how beautiful I am. So I mean, all in all, a great place for cheap drinks/food and people watching! It helps that this is a 3 minute walk from my house.

I’m not a big beer drinker so I got the Apple Cider which was pretty good and cheap! This is a great place for wings and fries as well. The wings were amazing! Nothing like the ones I have had before, instead of frying the wings before saucing them, they sauce them and then grill them. They tasted amazing! I would come here just to get the wings! Really good bar food here and good prices! I went before 9PM and saw families eating there too. There were also people studying with laptops at some of tables which was kind of weird, but shows that this is a good hangout AND study location if that’s what you want? There was also a free foosball table which is awesome! I recommend this place if you are looking for cheap beer and bar food!

The Pub hosted a memorial service I attended recently. I’d never been there before but they accomodated our large group really well. Everyone was really nice. Their pub fare is way better than average. Definitely recommend the fries(regular or sweet potato). The chicken fingers were really good. It takes longer than you’d think, but the food is definitely worth it. The foosball table is free, so that’s pretty awesome. The Pub should add a dry-erase nearby for sign-up, otherwise the table gets dominated by one group. This is definitely a townie bar, you’ll see a lot of regulars.

1. Trivia Wednesdays. 2. $ 15 buckets of High Life 3. Buffalo wings(on the grill. and ONLY on the grill) I never frequented Pub when it was«Powderhouse Pub» — I was intimiated by the seeming«bro-i-ness» of the joint. But when my friend told me they had the best buffalo wings in the area I was all up ons. Pub is not a bro bar. Not on during the week, anyway. The crowd is a nice mix of locals, college kids and a few eccentrics peppered in for flavor. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and the service is always friendly. The food far surpasses the quality of On The Hill Tavern. Seriously. The wings. On the grill. Heavenly. I will say this though: if it’s super busy and you order the wings on the grill — some of them might be a little burned — but this is the chance you take. And it is very much worth it. Just go already.

Haven’t been this up and down since that freak seesaw accident of 1985. Tanglewood Elementary hasn’t been the same since. The raved-about wings are pretty outstanding. Fried, sauced and finished on the grill, the tacky, carbonized char gives a little complexity to the beloved bar snack. Monday nights(and possibly others?), they sling those chiggin limbs for a paltry 35¢ a piece. Not bad compared to normal prices, but Magoun’s meaty 10¢ darlings and the grand ol’ XHXC(extra hot, extra crispy) Red Hat pups for the same dime have more pull when I’m cravin’ quality cluckers on the cheap. Still, that foos ball table is always poppin’, and if you show your face aplenty, you’ll earn a local nickname. Plus, you’ll never EVER get kicked out. Party on, Wayne.
