If there were more than 5 stars available, I would rate it as much. It’s the type of restaurant you would expect in a metro area and not in the suburbs. Great menu and cocktails. The staff is so friendly and accommodating.

Went here for my birthday(they even gave me a card signed by all of them!) A bit on the pricey side, but completely worth it for what you are getting. A great pick for any lover of American gourmet. All the food was excellent(the cheese tray and angry oysters are especially recommended) and with such generous portions! Cocktails were great too(loved the Salty Bee). Service was incredibly attentive and friendly! Thank you Foundry for a great birthday dinner!

Two things: 1. My first trip here was for drinks only with a date(which went well!), and 2. Based on the service alone, I will return. Please read the paragraph immediately below as a non-scathing critique in the spirit of attempting to be helpful because I really do like this place. I tried two of their gin cocktails: the Cucumber Martini and the Salty Bee. I’ve had cucumber martinis(and other elderflower drinks) elsewhere and something seemed out of balance here. Might want to(re)test the bartenders to make sure they’re following the recipe(or perhaps the recipe needs revisiting). The Salty Bee was much too salty and also seemed otherwise out of balance. My third gin drink was my standard gin, soda, and grapefruit — and it tasted as it should. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. Friendly, attentive but not intrusive, knowledgeable, and accommodating/non-pushy. I was especially impressed that the hostess walked me to the bathroom(I can’t remember that ever happening in any other service-oriented situation). Carry/Carie/Karie(sp? — sorry, sweetheart!) and I had some laughs about being sassy Taurus(side note: I quickly Googled to see if there is a plural form for that, but it seems the answer is either«No» or «It’s up to you»). Based on the other reviews and my own review of the(food) menu, everything looks wonderful. I would gladly close my eyes and point or let the server/chef surprise me. All told, I would/will put the time/effort and money into a full-on dining experience. Looking forward to it.

We had an outstanding dining experience at the foundry while celebrating our son’s graduation from Wheaton College this past weekend. The service from Danielle as well as the rest of the staff was elevated and on point. Recommended apps of angry oysters and the short rib spring rolls were excellent. 4 of us had a seared scallop special with Asian slaw which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Our son had the lamb which was the best had in recent memory. The cocktails before were also very good with hand stuffed blue cheese olives in a perfect Hendricks gin dirty martini, stirred not shaken! A couple shared dessert was the perfect ending. I must add that even the silver was changed between courses. I know it doesn’t sound like much but it is a detail that is rarely done elsewhere anymore. No dirty flatware on the table waiting for the next course. Even fresh bread with caramelized onion butter was served! A truly memorable experience which we would recommend to anyone who asks! It even seemed as thought the owner/manager checks in with the tables a couples times throughout the night. An environment that cares about your experience! Well done!

The husband and I enjoy this place. We don’t frequent this place as often as I think we should. The drinks are good. The service is always good. The ambiance is darkish but in a romantic way. The food is good and the bathrooms are clean. I can’t think of a reason why I wouldn’t give this place 5 stars. I don’t remember the last time we went, but we’ve gone back more than once or twice. I remember a kid ordering a cheeseburger and it looked amazing. I need to get that the next time we go.

This place is SO good. My sister and I tried this place on Saturday night and we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and immediately were offered water and bread while we looked over the cocktails. We had the hummus platter and spring rolls as appetizers which were DELISH. We had the Bolognese and the foundry burger for dinner. All was delicious, reasonably priced and fantastic servers. The two bartenders were great!

Food is good, but not an excellent value. Neptune’s Pasta is chock full of huge amounts of seafood. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I was expecting a pasta dish with seafood. What I got was a seafood dish with pasta. It was pricey. My a-ok is not an indictment of anything other than the value. Service and food were both excellent.

The service matches the food here. Both are excellent! My husband keeps a running list of restaurants we want to try having seen them on Phantom Gourmet. Mostly we’ve been disappointed until last night. This bar and restaurant is decorated beautifully and the seating and tables are very comfortable. The seating is not only very comfortable, but you have enough space that you actually feel you can have a conversation without your neighbors hearing you. It seems that everywhere we go lately, you can barely get into your seat and the server has to pass plates across the table because he/she can’t get around the whole table easily. They’ve done so many things well here at the Foundry. Finally, the food! We were helped with our choices by the great people who work here. I can’t say enough about the staff. Even though we had more than one person serve us, it was without rushing us and making sure all our questions were answered. I don’t eat oysters! I loved the Angry Oysters. If you go just try one-you can’t not like them. I had three and am still amazed. Everything that followed was equally as delicious and presented beautifully. There was nothing left on my husband’s Tuna Tartare and my Foundry Burger more than lived up to it’s reputation. This restaurant is quite a drive from our home, but we’ll definitely do it again! It was well worth it!

I attended a private event(a wedding) here. First and foremost, the staff was SO. KIND. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and unobtrusive. Even when cleaning up and getting the restaurant ready for the dinner shift, they moved quietly around the remaining guests, never making anyone feel as though they were in the way. The food was delicious… lots of fun takes on classics. Not overly-complicated or pretentious, just good food. The restaurant itself had a classy, comfortable vibe, and it was extremely clean. Overall, I was impressed and it’s tempted me to make the drive to Easton from Providence to have a seated-dinner experience sometime soon.

In Taunton for meetings and came for dinner last night, both of us with many years experience in the food business. From the minute we walked in it was one of the best dining experiences ever. Great décor, knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff, and incredible music playlist that perfectly accompanied the food. Great wine/drink recommendations with samples from the awesome Jenevieve. Short rib spring rolls with aioli, perfect. We had the filet mignon and Foundry burger, all cooked perfectly. The side of lobster from the filet we had separately and was the best, most perfectly cooked and sauced lobster I have ever had. Incredible sourdough slices and addictive compound caramelized onion butter, and toffee bread pudding desert, all perfectly executed. Cannot wait to come back next time I am in the area. Highly recommended.

What a great little gem! Service is great, drinks were delicious, and the food was really good. We got: sesame chicken app, butternut squash risotto, fish tacos, and baby kale. All delicious! The bread they serve as well is reeeeeally good, although I wish they offered plain butter. Can’t wait to try it out again :)

Gave them the benefit of the doubt, was really thinking about 3.5 stars. First time visiting was back around the holidays I met friends here for some drinks and apps. It was the holidays, it was crowded it seemed expensive. Visited again this past weekend with a small group. We had a reservation, we all arrived around the same time and were seated after a short wait. There is just something pretentious about Easton and places and people in Easton. But the menu, our server and food all showed that this is a very well done job. We started with the egg rolls and brussel sprouts. There were no complaints at all from the group. It was busy and took a little time for the entrees to come out, we had ribs, chicken, cod and a salad in the group. We sampled each others dishes and all agreed they were done great. The quality and portions seemed great, but as others have pointed out that is then reflected in the bill. We were all in agreement that it is a tough call if the quality quantity and price all ad up to a winning combination. It definitely wasn’t a losing combination but also not one we will run back to right away, more of a special occasion place maybe. But definitely a great addition to local dining.

I came her for drinks and food with a girlfriend when Maguires was looking packed. We had reservations and were seated right away. The bread girl came around with fresh baked breads with caramelized onion butter. Seriously good. We waited for quite a while(20 minutes) for a server. Finally one came around and apologized. He didn’t realize he was given our table. So they have a great drink menu but expects moderate prices. I opted for a cider on draft with a cinnamon rim. It was smallish but only $ 6 and very good. My friend tried a wine blend that she really liked. They do drink specials every night. They offered a vodka cranberry infusion the night we visited. Now the food prices are confusing. $ 16 for a burger with truffle fries but only $ 32 for filet mignon… I opted for the short rib springrolls at servers recommendation. I think they were $ 15. It was a decent sized portion and very good. Well worth the price. I would say overall it was good. Perhaps not for drinks with friends but more so date night. It’s dim and quiet. The service was friendly. Our server forgot to bring out a glass of wine so the bread girl got it but we were charged twice for one glass. Our server was apologetic and it was corrected. I will definitely come back. sometime.

Still new to the local restaurant scene, my wife and I tried the Foundry last night. My wife called to make an 8:30 reservation(after the kids were asleep) and they said we’d have to order as soon as we got there because the kitchen closed at 9. Welcome to the suburbs! The food was good. I had the sesame chicken tempura and BBQ braised short rib. Wifey had the deconstructed tuna roll and filet Mignon. Both of us were pleased. The portions were generous, especially for the apps. But when we got the check, we both agreed the meal wasn’t THAT good. Also, as other reviewers have noted, there was a conflicting vibe between chic eatery and sports bar with football on the TVs. Be one or the other. So yes, if there were no TVs and the prices were a little lower, then the place would be great. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Unassuming from the outside, our group was a little skeptical of what we would find at The Foundry but were happily impressed the second we stepped inside! Our group opted to share a number of appetizers, salads and entrees and were extremely pleased with everything we tasted! Some of my personal favorite items included: Angry Oysters: 12 oysters perfectly battered for a crunchy and crispy cajun bite served with spicy remoulade. Seriously mouthwatering! Aztec Warrior Salad: Possibly the best salad I’ve ever had, probably because it was topped with a healthy portion of tempura battered cheese. That’s my kind of salad! Short Rib Spring Rolls: I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I liked these, not your typical spring roll as they’re stuffed with generous portion of flavorful short rib meat and smoked gouda, served with a spicy sriracha aioli On top of the food, the waitstaff was excellent — attentive, kind and a load of fun! I also felt the restaurant was well priced for the large portions you receive. The only thing I wasn’t 100% impressed with were the house cocktails, while the menu looked promising, I tried a few of the drinks of my fellow diners and just wasn’t impressed; one too sour, one too sweet, I decided to stick with a glass of red wine! Overall I think this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the area!

An experience, rather than just a dinner. Great selection of local beers, and strong, full-to-the-brim cocktails with hibiscus or elderflower liquors. The short rib spring rolls alone are worth the trip, but the olive bread with carmelized onion butter you’ll be served before that is also a big step up from the average bread basket. Our group had the bolognese, veal porterhouse, and half chicken, then split the cookie and bananas fosters desserts– all made to perfection. You will spend some cash. It’s worth it. The sides are ala carte. It doesn’t matter. Our waitress told us they change up the menu all the time– I can’t wait to come back!
