There used to be a time I would support this place. I’ve been a local here all my life, and this place has been a fond childhood memory of mine. However, I honestly believe that the place would of been better staying closed after their fire. The service has gone way down hill, to the point where even on a Friday night, the place is a ghost town. They are super overpriced, and pizza hut is just down the road folks. I’ve had bad experience after bad experience with this place since the reopening, and let me tell you, I won’t be back this time. On top of the rude waitresses they have working there, to the fact they can’t even make a pizza the way you tell them to, they certainly have lost a lot of my respect. One of the last pizzas I got from them, had a twist tie baked into the crust. Now if I had wanted a twist tie in my pizza, I would have asked for it I think. When I called to complain about it, all they did was admit the fact that it happens quite often. They even knew where I found it before I told them! SCARY00″ Scarier fact, it happened a second time. So, be sure to check your crust, and your pizza if you ABSOLUTELY have to go here. Sorry guys, it just isn’t what it used to be back in the good old days. Next time you guys close down, please stay closed for good. Let the good memories die good. ~A very supportive and disappointed local.

I feel like it’s just alright. People in my crew liked it better, but I don’t think their crust or sauce are anything special. IMO, it looks better than it tastes, unfortunately. I’d call it AVERAGE

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Crust is so light and fresh. I’m so over pizza my kids and husband have it all the time. And I was so impressed with the quality and light airy crust.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Takes a while to get the food but it’s worth it(they even have a list of reasons of why it takes so long). Jen from the bar is awesome, always fun to chat with her. Don’t miss the Greek pizza and the happy hour till 6pm.

Don’t know why everyone is so enthused about this place. The pizza had thin and hard crust. Instead of a thicker end crust, they just rolled the flat crust over on itself which was weird. And the entire crust was covered in way too much semolina so the bites were gritty like you were almost eating sandpaper. We got a cheese and all meat. The all meat was super greasy, which I guess you can expect from all meat. But the cheese was much too salty and the mozzarella didn’t taste fresh. This is definitely not Tahoe’s best pizza joint like others rebiewwere saying.

Big group of us ordered several different pizzas. The topping ingredients were fresh and good quality. For pizza itself is nothing to brag about but still decent overall. Even though there were a few who like the pizza dough and crust, most of us didn’t care for it. Pizza: 4⁄5 Crust: 2⁄5 Pizza dough: 3⁄5 Service: 2.5/5she Host: 5⁄5 he Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Owner not only replied to my review but was very professional about it. I respect that a lot. He is a good business person and I will not take that away from him. Lesson learned!

This place was very good! On a busy Friday night we were still able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice! She apologized for the wait for our food and offered us some salad but we really didn’t feel like we had waited long at all, so we declined the salad. Our server checked in with us consistently. We had the Barnyard Massacre and Mean Greek, both were excellent! There was a small hiccup with our order but they made it right without us even having to ask and we really appreciated the great service and wonderful food. We will definitely return here again!

Delicious. Very accommodating establishment. The pizza is some of the best rural style pizza I’ve had. The barnyard massacre is the best.

Proclaimed to be the best pizza in Tahoe. I haven’t had any other pizza in Tahoe so I can’t really compare, but I won’t argue that the pizza is really good! We called in with our order and picked it up maybe 20 minutes later. A large pizza is 15″ and has 10 slices. Probably good to share between 3 – 4 people, depending on your appetite. We ordered a large JACKPOT($ 23), which was topped with pepperoni, salami, beef, onion, bell peppers, sausage, olives and mushrooms. The toppings were delicious! Lots of yummy meat and melted cheese. Loved the crust as well! The dough was thin and slightly floppy and the edges were thick and rolled, crisp on the outside with soft, fluffy dough on the inside. Definitely a solid pizza spot. Freshly made with fresh ingredients. And not super greasy either!

$ 50 for two large pizzas. The pizza is okay but expensive. The BS wait though is ridiculous. Ordered at 6:15pm tonight for takeout. They told us to come in 45min and it would be ready. We got there at 7pm and they said 10−15min longer. I didn’t walk out of there until 7:48pm, over 1.5 hours from ordering and 48min after arriving! WTF! That’s double the time you told us it would take. I regret giving you guys a tip for such horrible time management. A courtesy call ahead of time or a free pizza would have made me happy and forgive this. I got nothing except a bad attitude by the time I left. My time is valuable, don’t take me for granted. And as I was leaving, I overheard someone else asking the wait for takeout. The hostess said 15min. This is a lie! How happy will they be waiting in a crowded hot room for an extra hour? I am so effing annoyed with this place.

Today for dinner I visited the local South Lake Tahoe pizza spot that recently celebrated over 40 years in business. Bravo! The restaurant was so crowded on a Monday night around dinner time I sat at the bar and ordered my meal instead of waiting for a table among all the hungry guests. I must say the prices are rather reasonable and I enjoyed a glass of house wine while I waited for dinner to be cooked. I ordered a single serving salad bar trip(which was absolutely delicious) along with the pesto chips and a small cheese pizza with sausage, everything made on whole wheat crust. I only had to wait about 20 – 30 minutes despite a packed house for my meal to arrive at the bar. The bartender was quite friendly and happy to serve with anything I might possibly need. I would 100% recommend this local pizza spot if you are looking for great pizza and great salad along with exceptional service.

We went here again last night, but really owe this place a review for the rehearsal dinner they helped us with a year ago, prior to our wedding. Yep we had a pizza party for our rehearsal dinner, and yep, it was the best idea ever. The management was super accessible and professional with us as we started planning over a month ahead of our event. They were very helpful with us in estimating the amount of food and drinks we’d need and were willing to help us work out other details such as serve-yourself salad bowls in the the private room we were able to use in the back of the restaurant. The food was excellent(as it always is here), the staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous to a fault. They care about their customers, and take a lot of pride in what they do. I highly recommend this place whether you have an event or are just looking for a great place to have an awesome meal.

This place has a very homey feel to it. Aside from a table behind me having a liquid fight and splashing it on me, it was a great time. The pesto chips are delicious. They have garlic chips too. It’s basically a simple mini pizza served with ranch sauce. It’s really delicious! Group of 5 people killed it and one took an order home to go! I ordered one side salad which was discounted because we bought a pizza. Its self serve so I stacked it super high! Very filling that i barely could handle eating any pizza. We ordered one large pizza. We did half half. You can only choose one sauce and one type of crust. We opted for the normal crust and the sauce from the special. The crust is ridiculously delicious. We got half the all meat one which is a bit too salty for me, and the other one is basically a meat like taco sauce type pizza. They’re both tasty, but I HAVE to go back to try more. The way they do their crust and their«chips» are enough for me to come back and figure out my favorite. The wait was not too long. Im happy we ended up coming here. Serendipity :)

On 7÷14÷2010, my son and I came to Lake Tahoe for a camping trip, celebrating his 10th birthday dinner here at Lake Tahoe Pizza Company. On 7÷14÷2015, we returned for our annual camping trip and celebrated his 15th birthday pizza dinner here, once again! Hopefully, we don’t have to wait another 5 years to return as the pizza here is delicious! Lake Tahoe Pizza has been established since 1973. That’s 42 years in business. Most companies can’t make it past their 1st year. So that should tell you right there, one of the many reasons this pizzeria was voted Best Pizza in South Lake Tahoe for the past 15 years. Lots of wood used for the interior/exterior of this restaurant, along with plenty of rustic Western style décor. A full bar, salad bar and plenty of booth style seating. A souvenir baseball cap was a must for only $ 10 bucks. The service was average, but they were surprisingly very busy on this Tuesday evening. The only thing I did not like is being charged 50 cents for a tiny cup of fresh basil to add to my pizza. If you spend $ 23 on a 15″ pizza, the least they could do is not nickel and dime. For that reason alone, I reduce 5 stars down to 4 stars; as everything else here was fantastic! Their pizzas are all thin crust w/rolled edges, unless you request the edges to be trimmed off. Dough is made fresh daily w/4 types to choose from. We selected their homemade/standard, but they also offer dough selections of whole wheat, corn crust and gluten-free. Six different home made sauces to choose from, 4 cheese options, 10 meat/seafood toppings and 18 fruit/veggie options. This is all important to consider when selecting a «create your own» pizza opposed to what we ordered was from a Gourmet/Specialty pizza section that had 20 different specialty combinations. We ordered the«Barnyard Massacre» containing pepperoni, salami, sausage, Canadian bacon, linguica & cheddar cheese. Never had cheddar cheese on a pizza, but it was my son’s birthday and that’s what he wanted. The birthday boy made a great choice and we both agreed we’d order the Barnyard Massacre again the next time we visit, hopefully don’t have to wait another 5 years :)

Ok. I have to give these people and A+. Not only is the beer fabulous. But the pizza, the pizza. I ordered two gluten free pizzas. One with their picante sauce(their tomato sauces aren’t vegan), mushrooms, pineapple, black olives, jalapeño and daiya. And one with picante sauce, artichoke, pineapple, jalapeño, mushroom, bell pepper and basil. Sure. It wasn’t cheap, but it was completely worth it. I’d say between the both of them, they were some of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Ok, some background. I am vegan, my wife gluten free vegan. I actually prefer gluten free pizza dough to regular dough. And we make pizzas(and sauce) at home all of the time. Their dough was very good, but what really killed it for us was the picante sauce. Theirs is thick, pasty and delicious. I am so glad I gave these guys a shot. Next time I am in Tahoe, they are getting my money, that’s for sure.

With a pizza named barnyard massacre it had better live up to such a bold name and this pizza did. Loaded with various meats and a twisty crust which was a pleasant surprise. Although a little pricey definitely worth it. I’d eat here again in a heartbeat! Also we got hooked up with 40% off for their 42nd anniversary! Two pizzas and beer for about $ 20 not too bad at all!

The best pizza I have ever had. My family and I shared the Alcapuco Gold and Fresh Garden half and half pizza. We had the corn crust and regular tomato sauce. The crust was to die for. It was so soft and had the perfect texture. The Alcapuco Gold tasted like a taco on a pizza. The Fresh Garden tasted exactly as what the name implies. My mom(the biggest vegetable lover) couldn’t stop commenting about how fresh the vegetables were. She especially liked the fact that the vegetables were freshly laid onto the pizza after it was baked and not all of it was baked with the pizza. I was initially hesitant about the corn crust but our server said it was their most popular. She couldn’t be more wrong, it was literally the best thing ever. Food aside, the service there was rocking. There seemed to be only a couple of people running the shop that day but they were so attentive and our server made sure to stop by many times. She even gave us suggestions about where to visit in the area and was super friendly.
