Love me some Edison light bulbs and a proper craft beer assortment on tap. I highly recommend this classy establishment for a smart cocktail and possibly the s’more appetizer platter.

Came here late on a Friday night while visiting friends. This place was great. It had a laid bank cool ambiance with fire pits at many tables. Comfy couches and games to keep you entertained. Our waitress Luana was awesome. It was only her 2nd or 3rd day on the job and she really took care of us. She was great and would ask for her section in the future.

I’m traveling through Tahoe and bumped into this gem. I had a great Italian dinner and drink before going to the show. My bartender, Ryan, was the greatest. The magic show was EXCELLENT! I love magic and have to say that Joel Ward was wonderful! He has a natural way and ease with comedy and magic combined. It was a complete pleasure.

Loved the theatre, the magic show and the décor in the restaurant. We even had an Italian waiter who was honest about the menu and helped us pick the perfect food for us. Kid friendly yet met our adult requirements, too. Great place all in all.

Absolutely loved The Loft! Could not have asked for better service, food, drinks, ambiance… Complete perfection! This will definitely be our new go-to place in South Lake. Very reasonably priced as well.

Liz was our hostess, great service, food was well prepared and tasty. I echo the remarks from others regarding the ambience, small night club Atmosphere and the magic show. Don’t forget to check-in for your complimentary glass of wine with your main meal. They do give local discounts. Attention to details were excellent. We will be back again in the near future.

I swung by here on a Thursday evening to have a drink. I had called over the phone and they listed what kinds of drink specials they had each day of the week. Thursdays have something to do with Lipstick, so I glammed it up a notch and walked down to the Loft. It is located inside the Heavenly Village so keep your eyes peeled for the sign to go upstairs. The décor and lighting are perfect for a romantic evening or a meet-up with friends. It is dark but not too dark and there is music, but not too loud. I sat at the bar alone and was offered a free glass of sparkling bubbly which I gladly accepted. I also enjoyed an old fashioned and good conversation with the bartender and other bar patrons. The prices were very reasonable for being in Heavenly Village. Next time in Tahoe, I will return to enjoy a meal because the menu looked good.

First, the ambiance. It had a true lounge feel; music, couches, fire tables, low lighting. Great for a semi-casual dining experience. Second, the food. De.lish. It was really good. Fresh pasta, tasty«gravy», and great portions. The grilled cheese dips were amazing. The original ravioli were unreal. The lasagna was unbelievable. I will return and suggest you visit.

Tahoe has long been known as an escape for out-of-towners rushing to get away from big city life. With its snow-capped mountain ranges calling skiers and snowboards from all over the world it’s not your average sleepy snow town. Heavenly Village makes up a large part of South Lake and draws even larger crowds for shopping and snow sports alike. Although most of the venues are fairly typical providing nourishment for tourists from all over the world there has always been something missing, until now. The Loft brings to Heavenly an eclectic mix of fine Italian food, live entertainment, and a lounge atmosphere perfect for all occasions. Grab a drink at the bar and prepare yourself for an amazing experience. The magic show is sure to delight with performances by some of the world’s best magicians. Admittedly, I was a bit of a skeptic when I first sat down pondering what was about to happen next but magic act after wonderful magic act I was astonished. How did he do that? That was the question on everyone’s mind. After the last show of the night the stage opens up for the live music entertainment from resident DJs which spills out into the restaurant and lounge area. This is the perfect space to grab some amazing Italian food and chill out with friends or family after a long day on the slopes. Feeing a bit more active? Don’t worry, snag a space in one of the booths and find yourself immersed in a game of Jenga with like-minded company. If you’re lucky enough, grab a seat by the fire and order up some S’more desserts which are sure to delight. This place brings a sense of life and adventure to a large part of the South Lake community. Make sure to check it out for yourself and show your support.

Update: The owner Paul invited us to dinner on him to give them another shot and I must say we were quite impressed. Service was impeccable. The food was amazingly delicious. The table side magic by Bobby is so good it frustrates you to be fooled right in front of your face. We really enjoyed our evening and would happily recommend The Loft to anyone. Get the cheese ravioli with«gravy», I swear they made them to order, they were superb… And of course, watching Tony Clark the second time was just as great as the first. Show had some new parts to it and the three ring illusion was still unbelievable. Thank you Paul for the wonderful evening of excellent food and amazement. We will be back.

What a wonderful time we had! My group started off the evening with a drink at the bar and then found our way into the auditorium area to watch a magnificent magic show that was appropriate for all ages, yet very adult. The magician was not only talented in his art, but very funny. I’d definitely recommend seeing the show. After the show, we had reservations to eat in the dining area, and eat we did. We all started with a nice glass of wine or a cocktail, then dug into our ravioli sampler and artichoke dip. The ravioli sampler was tasty, although we probably should have had two orders for the four of us so we could all enjoy the flavors that were on the plate. We also had the artichoke dip and bread, which was my absolute favorite! After the appetizers, we all promptly received our dinners. I had the Paul Reder Salad, which ended up being a pure burst of flavor and quite large. The others at my table had ordered the risotto dishes(each one had something different). I tried my wife’s steak risotto, and it was fabulous. While the rice is different than what one would expect, it compliments the flavors in the dish well. I think we will definitely be going back. After dinner we were able to confiscate a couch and fire pit area, where we drank another cocktail each and played Connect Four while the house DJ played. What a way to end the day!

Ok let me preface, our waitress Jeanie is what earned the 3 stars review. She saved this restaurant. Let me start with the Pro: Service is a overwhelming. She was gracious and apologetic for the kitchen. She was determined to turn this into a positive experience. WO going into the details, she took care of us. Salads are really good. We had the Wedge and House. Here is the Cons: We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer and they came out with a soggy baguette. That’s the key of a bruschetta so they failed miserably. We both went with their specialty risotto. I had the steak & mushroom my husband had the vegetarian. Keep in mind, they did say on the menu this is a family recipe made with«wild rice» not orzo. But being it is called risotto, I expected there are some risotto consistency. Sadly, No. the risotto has a consistency of a boxed mashed potatoes. I did not taste or detect any rice. It is dry and mushy. However, if you like mashed potatoes, this may suit you just fine. They have only been open for 2 months so they may still be ironing out the kinks. The best part of our whole experience is the excellent wine. But we did bring our own. Corkage is $ 20. This is a very swanky restaurant. I’d recommend take a chance on happy hour. Unfortunately, this will be our first and last visit.

AWESOME magic show! We had such a fun evening last Friday. We arrived a bit early for the show, so we enjoyed some hot chocolate in the lounge area, which has a really fun vibe and these cool fireside booth things that looked super cozy(and it looked like you could rent or borrow board games!). The magic show with Tony Clark was spectacular. He’s a truly world-class magician. We enjoyed every minute. After the formal show, we wanted to see some table-side magic tricks(they have another magician who goes table to table performing close-up magic), so we ordered desert: s’mores«for two»(ingredients for 4 s’mores + fire) and chatted with the magician for a few minutes before he did some majorly impressive card and coin tricks. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Tahoe!

Heard a lot about the Loft thru many Tahoe locals! Had to come finally check it out! Well, I finally got the free time to go out! My girlfriend’s best friend’s birthday was today. So we decided to go to the Loft. Food was amazing! I got the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. It was on point! Get the Smore’s for that sweet tooth craving! The magic show was very interesting. Tony Clark(the Magician), you can tell he loves magic and loves to make people happy! Great job Tony! A+++ A perfect blend of intimate magic & comedy! Definitely coming back on my next free day! Thanks Paul. Place looks amazing!

We went after skiing with our two young kids and all of our gear still on. We did not feel out of place at all. This place is super«cool». It’s Tahoe so you can show up in formal clothes to ski clothes and you still fit in. While dining we had Bobby the house magician stop by to entertain the table. He did a great job. Food was solid and the atmosphere was really neat. I cannot wait to go back with just the wife. We did not have a chance to see the full magic show in their theater but do plan on going back. If shows don’t appeal to you and all you want is a good drink, this is the place for you.
