Found this place via Unilocal, reviews looked very good so we decided to come in and try it out. We ordered some mozzarella sticks, little greasy, but weren’t bad. The pizza was your standard Greek style, but it was nothing to write home about. Very average, bread was kinda bland and the sauce was too sweet, and it was very cheesy. No issues with the staff, just the quality of the food. There is definitely better pizza to be had else where in CT.

Based on the great reviews, my husband and I drove from Vernon, where we live, over to Alexia’s for a late night dinner. We didn’t get to the restaurant until 8:45pm, because I had worked a 13 hour day. Whoops, I forgot to look here on Unilocal to see what time Alexia’s closes! So, we walked in, only to find out that the restaurant closes at 9:00pm. The owners could have told us that they were about to close & sent us on our way. However, they were so nice, and told us that although it was too late to sit down and have dinner there, that we could still place an order for takeout. We wound up ordering a medium pizza… my half had mushrooms, onions, and really great tasting sausage. My husband’s side of the pizza had pepperoni & black olives. What terrific pizza! We don’t like the wood fire baked pizza, you know, the charred pizza crust kind that seems to be the trend here in CT. Alexia’s pizza crust was perfectly cooked, just the right consistency. They are very generous with the amount of toppings put on the pizza, and it had the perfect balance of sauce and cheese. And the owners were so nice. We’ll definitely go back soon for a much earlier dinner, so that we can eat at the restaurant. If the great pizza is any indication of what the dinners are like, I can’t wait to go back and try the chicken parm or eggplant parm.

Love Alexia Pizza! One of my go 2 lunch spots! They have an awesome lunch special of a half grinder, soup or chips and a can of soda — it’s a teeny bit more than subway but sooooo much better! The owners are super sweet and they make quality food. Pizza is also delicious and the dinners are great too! A wonderful family spot and the best take out around!

I ordered a steak and cheese grinder and when I got Home I unwrapped my sandwich and I couldn’t believe how much grease was on it! it was the most greasiest sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The taste wasn’t so bad but it was like I was drinking pure oil. I mean I’m not saying don’t go there but if you like greasy stuff then go for it. not my problem if you end up being fat.

I came in for pizza but was overwhelmed by how good everything looked. I had the eggplant parm. Large portions, friendly service. A good find.

Tried Alexia’s pizza for the first time and we were very impressed. We ordered the Hawaiian and white eggplant and it was great. The flavors were very fresh and tasty. The one drawback was that our crust was a bit done but next time I’m going to ask them to cook it for less time.

The previous Unilocal reviews are what brought us here and for a moment when we walked in we were unsure if it was the right choice. I ordered a small meat lovers pizza that was great, others had eggplant parm and a stuffed chicken rolletini type thing. We were all overwhelmingly happy with our meals. Very friendly family running the place… would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Small family run business serving mostly regulars. Food is excellent and portions good sized. We’ve had pizza and grinders here for years and never been disappointed yet.

I agree, best pizza in South Windsor. Family owned and very friendly. The garlic bread with cheese is really good and the steak & cheese grinder is as well. Just good food and good people.

Best pizza in the greater SW area… no question. Grinders are pretty good as well.

This little family business makes a champion pizza, let me tell you! I recommend trying the white pizza with garlic sauce and add some eggplant, fresh tomato and or feta cheese, man the sausage is good here also for a topping. The traditional sauce pizza is very good, this crust is not super thick, but it’s medium thickness, crispy and tasty, it will not flop all around like some soggy greasy delivery slop & that’s for sure! The family is always pleasant and I have been turning many people onto this restaurant for over a decade now, ever since a close friend shared it with me. Enjoy. P. S. Good grilled chicken cutlet, Turkey and Meatball sub’s also

This is by far the best Greek style pizza in the world. My family eats here a couple of times a month. It is a local favorite. The crust is slightly sweet, thin but not too thin, and has a perfect crunch to it. The sauce is amazing and they load it with toppings. Their white garlic sauce is second to none(we love the white garlic with ham and broccoli). This place is truly family run where the same brother/sister/father team craft the perfect pizza every night. When they need time off, they close. Alexia’s has spoiled all of our pizza restaurant experiences because no matter how good someone else’s pizza is, my wife and I always say, «It’s just not Alexia’s!» I promise you will not be disappointed here.
