My favorite vineyard on the island. Always a wonderful time, the cheese dip is delicious and the various options of rose and the upstairs seating area is adorable. Can’t wait for spring to go back!

Croteaux is a intimate slice of heaven. This vineyard is of of the best of the north fork and by far my favorite. I love that it only allows small groups to keep its charm. I love that it only features Rośe wine and I love the atmosphere. My favorites are the 181 and the Chloe wine. I also just tried there champagne and now a big fan. I highly recommend this Charming destination.

Rarely does one place get so many things so right. Croteaux is just such a place. Thoughtfully set in a landscaped garden reminiscent of Provence, the Croteau family has created an idyllic escape just off the Main Rd. Rustic, charming, and above all, intimate – with seriously good wine and home-made nibbles. A great place to relax with a couple of friends, away from the limos, buses, and bachelorette parties that can so often intrude on the moment. Keep doing what you’re doing, and I’ll keep coming back – cheers to 2016!

First of all I don’t understand the reviewers that don’t adore this place. It is a piece of heaven and you must put it on your list! It is special and small and intimate as well as thoughtful in every detail. The owner came out to greet us and was so lovely and accommodating, as was our server– offering us cozy blankets and lots of smiles(and we were a group of 8! Which is the largest they allow– the woman at the checkout was also lovely) The Rose’ is so delicious and complex and if you are a fan of ‘rose all day’ in the most beautiful setting GOBEFORETHEYRUNOUT! I am so glad they put their foot down on the ‘no busses or large groups’ this place just isn’t built for those kind of numbers– and it would change the whole dynamic– and I hope they keep it that way. Thank You for the lovely day Croteaux! (And I adore my new plaid scarf AND my case of sparkling rose!!!) :) Erin

Firstly, the BEST french macaroons I have ever had here to pair with their sparkling wines. Secondly, the adirondack chairs and tables under the trees behind the building near the vineyards is MAGICAL! Thirdly, the service was amazing and so friendly and happy to serve us. Checked in often, helped us pick the best bite pairings with the wines we were choosing and they just really ran a tight ship. Lastly, I ended up buying a really cute logo tee and it is the most comfortable thing ever. Took home two bottles to Cali. could not have had a better experience and really loved the proximity to our house rental for the week. They definitely know what they are doing at this establishment, but next time, please don’t be out of the rose sparkling wine. I REALLY wanted to take a bottle home. :)

We ordered a tasting of wine and some food and were bitterly disappointed. The six glass tasting of the wine consisted of about 6 – 8 drops in each glass. The food was also woefully lacking: a few olives, crackers, peanuts, bread and some spread was definitely not worth the inflated price. When we were leaving, my son ran across the back lawn and was yelled at by the manager of the vineyard. I know that children should not be running around the grounds, but he could have found a better way to deal with the situation. There are much better vineyards to see on Long Island. Warning: do not bring children, pets, large groups or outside food or you will be denied access and/or scolded by management – who really needs to work on their ‘people’ skills. After all, we are not in Paris. We had a much better time and better Rose at Wolffer Vineyard on the South Fork in Bridgehampton.

I have to boost up my rating for Croteaux after a lovely visit this past weekend. The spot is just gorgeous with its dangling leaves and gravel pathways. There are lots of spots for shade as well as sun. I really liked many of the wines. I definitely suggest the still and sparkling tastings because both are very distinct. Prices are a little higher than other places, but you won’t be disappointed. The women who work here are very chill and donned beautiful wraps(that you can buy there). They do not allow big parties and encourage you to keep a close hold of any small kids or small dogs.

Big fan of this vineyard, especially as it is walking distance from my moms house. They’ve done a lot of work on the tasting area and with the barns for tasting inside on hot days, it really adds some great ambience. Hands down my favorite this season is the sparkling Cabernet Franc, delicious taste and light flavor. We came out on a Friday if Memorial Day weekend which was clearly the better choice. Apparently on Saturday it was an absolutely shit show. Rose has definitely risen in popularity and as a vineyard that specializes in rose, it’s gotten a bit crazy. I had some friends that went on a weekend and it was a mob scene. So take note fellow rose lovers, stick to a weekday if you can. Enjoy it while it lasts as last year they ran out mid-August!

Although I went in the winter and couldn’t enjoy a lot of the scenery, CV was still a wonderful place to visit while touring wine country. We entered into a small room where you can purchase bottles and then headed upstairs to hang in the tasting barn. It’s very chill up there with relaxing tunes and vintage clothing for sale. We sat down and the vino was brought to our table/bench. $ 15 for 6 tastings is the going rate. I’m partial to rose, so there was nothing that knocked my socks off, but it was fun to check out different varieties and to learn how grape skins give it t
