Don’t bother coming here in a party. You are forced to pick a specific number of wines as a group. So not only do you not have a choice, but they don’t tell you anything about the wine. It is fine if you are just interested in drinking, but if you actually like wine, go elsewhere. The one guy by the front door was nice and informative, but all of the ladies serving wine in the back were rude, did not know anything about the wine, and made the experience terrible.

WORSTWINERYEXPERIENCEEVER. Staff is rude, management doesn’t care — no response to emails concerning an extra awful experience. Don’t waste your time – they don’t care about yours!

Had a nice tasting experience. The person offering the tasting was nice and well informed. Bought one bottle of white. It seems large enough to hold alot of people and organized with a purchase area and then a tasting area

We went on/through a gilt city deal, which was great(made it less expensive and included transport to the island and a few other vineyards/tastings). This was our first stop(out of 3), and we had a good experience. The owner was there working the«shop» up front, and was nice enough to let us taste the wine before we bought it(even if it wasn’t included in our tasting). Sarah helped us behind the bar, and handled the crowd well-there was at least a hundred people between the couple of tours there. That being said, because the weather was so/so, most of the visit was spent inside, so it got a little loud(not their fault). A good ideas for parties/groups, and I’m sure it just gets better as the weather does! We’d come back.

Came here as one of the stops on a wine tour and I must say, this was definitely my absolute favorite. So much so, that I plan on coming back with a few friends just to spend the day drinking delicious wines and taking in the great views! A rustic feel with a beautiful view of the vineyard, you already can’t go wrong. Throw in some amazing wine and a great staff who clearly loves what they do and believes in the product, you’re in for a great experience. It was a little busy with a full bus load of people doing a tasting, in addition to a few other parties, but they were able to handle all the parties and everyone was happy. A big plus is that they let you bring in your own food, so definitely prepare because with all the drinking you’re going to need it! I loved every wine I tried and couldn’t get enough of it. I got a bottle to go and had a bottle to drink before our group had to leave. It’s close enough that you don’t have to go deep into Long Island but far enough that it’ll still feel like a great day trip. Highly recommend this winery and can’t wait to come back for more!

Went in today(a Friday) with my wife at 4:30; the place was pretty crowded. We were asked if we part of the«large» group. There were no signs of a large group, just a lot of cars in the lot and no limos or buses. We answered«No» and we were told that they were closing and the guy behind the bar reluctantly gave us a menu. We asked if they had flights and he said not for us because they were closing. The sign says they are open until 5:30. The guy had an attitude; we left without tasting. Guess he had plans after work! We won’t be back.

Not too sure why this place doesn’t have a better rating. Duck Walk is about an exit past Tanger Riverhead and right by Splish Splash. After you get off the exit it’s about a 10 – 15 drive to wine country. A nice quaint town that isn’t busy at all. Upon arriving at Duck Walk you can park in the private lot. The winery has high elevated ceilings and everything from the ground up is made of wood. It’s a spacious area where you can enjoy tastings and actually breath! I believe you can try about 3 – 4 tastings for $ 6 and they usually give you a free ticket for a sister vineyard. It gets super busy and the employees try to take care of every one in a timely manner. Why I love to do is get some cheese and crackers and go to the outside area. Beautiful tables looking over miles of grape vines. Extremely peaceful. I’ve seen women have bachelorette parties here and groups of friends enjoy Sunday fun day here. My absolute favorite wine here is Aphrodite. It’s an ice wine that’s absolutely light and airy. I’m only into sweet, white wines; so if that isn’t up your alley skip that one. Great way to spend your Sunday!

A MADHOUSE! A friend and I went here as part of wine tour package, along with what seemed liked a gazillion of our closest friends. The minute we got there, everyone made a bee line to the«bars» which were manned by 1 – 3 bartenders, servicing the gazillion friends mentioned above. Expect to be on line forever, you’re better off buying a bottle and sharing it. This place is getting three stars, because the wine was actually pretty good(personal faves, the windmill white and blueberry port). We also got some really, really good gouda and prosciutto there as well and being able to walk between the rows of grape vines made for some excellent pictures.

Here with a Saturday bus tour and it literally took 20 minutes to get my first tasting, and it’s been another 20 minutes to try another. The setup is terrible, and this is not the $ 85 experience I paid for. Staff is completely overwhelmed(one server for 75 people), but still will only serve one 1⁄8th full glass at a time. We were only able to use two of our tickets in the HOUR we were here)”. Complete waste of money, and I will not return.

My friend and I went on a wine tour to Long Island North Fork that included about 4 to 5 different wineries for the day. Duck walk vineyards was on the wineries we visited and it was cool. The vineyard wasn’t too crowded and we were able to enjoy the grounds without bumping into other people. The weather was beautiful so we were able to enjoy the small outdoor seating area. We also walked around outside and took some pictures in the vineyards which was cool. The staff were cool, welcoming and answered people’s questions without rushing. Since we were part of a tour we had a choice of wines we could sample. The wine tasting area was smaller than some of the other wineries we visited but still cozy and not suffocating. Duck Walk had a very lively vibe and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. They also have an area outside where you can eat lunch at the picnic tables. They also had live music for additional entertainment. This is another winery that’s cool to visit.

Worth a trip if you’re thinking of hitting up some wineries for the day. The staff I dealt with wasn’t overly accommodating and also gave no explanation of the wines we were tasting… but I suppose you do get what you pay for in some cases. I will say the wine here was very inexpensive, and pretty decent. It’s definitely not a wine-snob type of place, and that’s A-OK by me. Their Windmill White is a really nice blend, and my favorite out of everything I tried. There’s plenty of room outside to hang at picnic tables. Even when it’s not so nice out, the interior does have quite a bit of room to hang around.

Went there for a tasting. Service was just OK not very friendly. No cheese or crackers. Just pay up and taste. The wines were just OK . I still brought there better merlot and a bottle of blueberry port. It would have been nice to have someone pleasant to deal with. maybe it was just an off day but when you want people to enjoy the experience smile!!! The woman at the register was very nice and friendly.

I’d give this place 100 stars if I could. What a wonderful vineyard, aesthetically lovely. Duckwalk boasts delectable wines, out door seating, live music and reasonably priced tastings and bottles. We woke up to rain, so the beach was out(or so we thought.) We’d heard good things about Duck Walk and Unilocal confirmed them(thanks, Unilocal!) $ 6 gets you a glass of their house white — a dry white with fruity notes but NOT sweet. The line of tastings wasn’t much more. The customer service was on point. They even offered a free tasting of their cab sauv reserve. We sat outside and absorbed the live guitar player/singer and beautiful day(the rain stopped as soon as we arrived and the sun came out. Pete smoked a cigar. We could have brought or purchased snacks there, but we weren’t hungry. I can’t wait to go back!

The grounds were pretty. The staff was under prepared for a bus tour that arrived… So it was a little stressful to get our samples. The first bartender seemed very overwhelmed. When another bartender joined she started hustling, she poured out drinks but was also informative. She was very friendly and made the visit more enjoyable. I believe her name was Kristin or Kristine? We would have purchased a bottle, but it took so long for the first few tastes that we ended up only getting a glass each.

I came here back in May and we had an amazing time. Our bartender was very nice and funny, also very informative about all of the wine. We loved Aphrodite, it was amazing. It’s absolutely beautiful here too. It’s on the smaller side so I wouldn’t plan on staying here for the longest time if you are hitting multiple wineries, but it’s definitely a good stop to have some lunch outside and try a few different wines.

Enjoyed the vineyard very much! I was able to make a reservation for a party of 17 on Easter Sunday. It was only $ 8 a person for wine tasting. The wine tasting was at the bar and we tried 5 different wines. They were delicious. The bartender was nice and the high ceiling building was a decent size. We had purchased cheese to munch on while sipping the wine. My friend & I bought two wine bottles for our group after to drink at the table. The weather wasn’t bad, we were walking through the winery and enjoying the sun. This place isn’t the biggest and best winery but it is definitely the most affordable one I been too. It was the first winery that was located closest to east Quoague and from coming West!

Duck Walk Vineyards was an great winery for wine tasting. They have a lot of great choices of wine. I came here with a large party(50 people) and they were pretty understaffed(2 staff members for wine tasting for everyone). But it was still very enjoyable. Outside you can take any purchased wine bottles and hang by the picnic tables or grassy area by the vineyard. It was a really pretty place to go!

Been here before and I know that it is always crowded during their wine tasting time and our visit last Saturday was not an exception. We never got the chance to try their selected trial wine thus purchased trademark wines based on our judgement. The room is huge, clean. Small café is open for those interested to buy sandwiches, crackers etc. There is a small store for souvenir items, mementos and of course their wines. They offer lots of other things comparable to other vineyards Id been to. I love their vineyard. Wide. Maintained. Big space for picnickers . In their patio are tables with umbrellas that you could sit in to dine. Free music is available during our visit time. Ambiance is so peaceful. Parking security is very tight. They make it sure that only their customers use their parking spot especially pumpkin patch farm and apple orchard are just across the street. I will come back again.

Stopped here while on a wine tour with a friend. I loved there tasting set up because it was fairly smallbut the winery itself is a huge spacious hall. They didn’t seem to have as many wines as the other wineries but I loved their windmill blush. They also offered chocolates with their blueberry port dessert wine which I believe they realize helps the taste. I generally love dessert wines but this was not a good one. The staff seemed to be very knowledgeable about their wines and they were very helpful to customers choosing a wine to taste. However, a long visit here is hard because they offer no food for sale to accompany your wine besides chips. In the back there are seating areas where u can view their vast vineyard which seemed to go on for miles. In my opinion this winery is worth a visit but don’t plan on an extended outing at this location.
