Location is Great! Up stairs in the outside deck sweet view! The wait staff very friendly! I had the Greek scallops with feta and spinach and baby tomatoes! Excellent! My beautiful date had the salmon and it was simply the best she had ever had !!! I highly recommend Oliver’s

Enjoying a pleasant surprise find in the Southport area, near Boothbay Harbor ME. Only a ten min drive in some scenic, winding roads. It’s a beautiful location, very nice cove view, and some great staff. The food selections are short and sound — great options of surf or turf with some great ideas and fresh ingredients. If there were any downsides, the beer selection could use a little bolstering, but the views, pleasant staff, and fresh food will help you forget about some of the problems you may have walked in with. Highly recommend for the views and the food. A great find.

The best place with the most delicious food! A terrific venue with charm and quintessential Maine views. I would come here every single day if I could. Pure bliss.

The clam chowder was mostly potato and some tough kalamari but few clams. The swordfish special was overseasoned with sesame and, for the portion size, overpriced. Though the presentation was nice and the setting enjoyable, I won’t be going back. There’s also something a bit pretentious about adding 20% gratuity to every bill regardless of party size, but our server did waive it at our request after she splattered chowder on all of us.

We love taking our boat and going for lunch here. The slips are often full, but you can usually make room. The food is great! The service can be slow. There is often a wait. The seating on the dock outside the barrier is a «no alcohol» zone. The fish tacos are great! The icecream must be purchased by going around to the outside. The Smores icecream is excellent. We probably go 5 times in a month of the summer.

Wow, what a venue! Cozy Harbor is the quintessential Maine cove and Oliver’s takes full advantage of the spectacular views. We sat upstairs outside in a covered porch and we had the best seats in the place. We gorged on lobster rolls, oysters on the half shell, various other seafoods and the prime rib special that night. Surprisingly the prime rib won the table. Almost an additional star but couple of the entrees were okay renditions of the ordered dish but needed a bit more umph to dazzle the palate.

Great food and great view! They do add the tip in regardless of the number of people in your party. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. 2 thumbs up!

Oliver’s is a great spot! However after several trips to the establishment, the last blonde hostess we experienced had a total bee in her bonnet. At 5:15pm she turned away a 7 top and then told us, a two top that it would be an hour before she could seat us(we were there the last 3 days mind you). This blonde never offered the bar as an option or suggested we sit at the picnic tables for a bit and wait. Her attitude was all it took to turn around and spend our $$$$ at #rocktide on the other side of the island. Mark and Alley are great, but not sure who the blonde with no people skills is greeting people.

Two couples and a 3yro went to Oliver’s for dinner tonight. Pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant was very appealing and classier looking on the outside then the inside. Don’t get me wrong the inside was very nice but not what we expected from looking at the outside. Since we went on a Sunday evening and the beginning of the tourist season we got seated without an issue. We were greeted well when we arrived and seated right away. There was a good selection of craft beer to start with and the selection of wine by the glass was good also. Our waiter was attentive and knew his products. I started with a bowl of the fish and crab chowder which was very good with plenty of fish. My buddy had the crab cakes which he liked and the presentation was very nice. My wife and I ordered the fried fish tacos, it had plenty of chunks of fish. The chunks were on the small side and tended to spill out if you didn’t grip the shell well. My opinion would be to cut the pieces larger. For the creamy side of the taco you got guacamole which was tasty but I would have like a spicy aioli to give to a little kick. And for a side you got a bag of chips and for an up charge you could get fries. We got the fries and they were awesome. My buddy got the belly fried clams and he gave them the thumbs up. We all got cole slaw with our meals and lt was lacking in flavor. Prices were reasonable for the food we got. Two items that were of an issue were my buddy ordered a second glass of wine and they used the same glass just refilled with a small carafe. Me being a beer drinker it wasn’t an issue for me but if I ordered another beer a fresh glass would be nice. My issue is that they automatically add 20% to your check no matter the size of your party. Bad move in my opinion let me make my own decisions on what I want to tip, I base it on the service I receive.

Sat at the bar to eat, chatted with the cooks, highlight of our vacation. Amazing oysters! Delicious fish taco(get the fried)!! Save room for the blueberry pie and ice cream. Don’t miss this place ~

This place is terrible and I would strongly recommend going anywhere else in Boothbay or on Southport before going to Olivers. The service is unbelievably awful. The host tried to seat my grandmother who has a cane and clearly can’t move around well in a high-top table, then got upset with us for asking for another table when there were plenty of other options since the place was pretty empty. It then took almost 2 hours for us to get 3 tacos, with no apology. And to add to it all, the bathroom smelled atrocious. Despite this terrible experience, I loved the scenery and view, and tried to go back one more time, for dinner at 7:30 pm. I showed up with 5 people and was told they had«sold out» of their menu. This was on a nice and busy Friday evening. Great planning! Can I give them a negative rating?

Excellent meal! Amazing setting. Sat upstairs on the balcony, just magical. Food was very good, fish tacos and a haddock in a white wine sauce. Service was prompt and thoughtful. Highly with the extra drive to the island.

I hardly EVER give 5 stars but Oliver’s — you earned it! The very fresh Fish Tacos(blackened) were done to perfection and super delicious! Mom loved her crab salad. The location is simply breath-taking. Our waiter, Justin, was crème de la crème. Very knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely concerned to ensure our dining experience was truly enjoyable. I was amazed at all the first class fittings, appointments, furniture and many other design features. This place is a true stand out! Word of caution — the road and entryway to this restaurant site is very constricted at places. Just be careful and enjoy a grand dining experience to the very best of mid coast Maine!

A great place to stop for lunch or dinner. Limited dock space is available for boats. Views are very nice with both indoor and outdoor seating available. The food is very good, although the chowders had a bit too much rosemary for my taste. This is not your typical waterfront fried seafood restaurant. The burgers, haddock sandwich, and scallop dish were very good.

Out of the way — worth the effort to find. On a hidden cove. Great food, lobster & scallop chowder, lobster rolls done both ways. Decent wine $ 25 a bottle. Local beers.

Perfectly situated within Cozy Harbor, this was a first time visit for most of our large family party of 17. We broke up into smaller tables on our own decision although I think they would’ve gladly helped put a large table together. Food was tasty, nice portion sizes, and service was very good. We’re a tough crowd to please and everyone enjoyed. Check out the hidden room upstairs. Although 5 stars are reserved for unbelievable experiences, this was a solid 4. Heartily recommend this hidden gem.

Dropped by Oliver’s for ice cream. Unfortunately, my experience was totally different this time. I don’t think there was anyone working there over the age of 21 and we couldn’t get anyone to help us. Not even for an ice cream cone! And the smell if rotten fish filled the restaurant. I don’t expect any restaurant to smell like that, especially in coastal Maine where the fish can’t be more fresh. Might try it one more time next summer. I want it to be good! But I might have to take my business elsewhere…

Food was very good; hamburgers are excellent and super views of the harbor. Service was a little slow and i think the prices were pretty high even for this very touristy area but worth checking out.

Definitely a hidden gem. It’s tucked away in a very small harbor and no matter where you sit(inside or outside) you’ll have a perfect view. Opened in May, 2012 and still feels brand new. Food and atmosphere are way above par. The burgers are delectable and the onion rings are the best in the area. Everything is made fresh and you get a filling portion size for a great price. Great place to sit and sip a beer or glass of wine(which they do have) while feeling the sea breeze flow through while you soak in the Maine experience.

I have been coming to Southport Island and Cosy Harbor since Gus Pratt owned the little store overlooking Cosy Harbor. I have to say — upfront — that the renovations and mixture of the old store with a wonderful facility is welcomed! I can’t speak to the previous reviewers dinner experience — but the menu did look quite nice. My family had ice cream after a long day of boating the coast of Maine. I was sadly disappointed … it was not worth the price. A small was ½ a «scoop» and for almost $ 2.50 it was underwhelming. We would still go try the menu — but defiantly take a ride into Boothbay for the Ice Cream.
