Savers used to be an excellent place to buy used clothing, furniture, etc because the prices were reasonable. Now it jacks up all the prices. For example, at the prices of some Men’s shirts in Savers, I could easily buy them brand new at Macy’s when they were on sale. Oh, don’t forget, now you must pay sales tax also. A double whammy.

Savers Sparks where to start. Lets see staff not wearing name tags at all not sure if the«supervisor»(Nicole) gave me her real name especially consider her low cut shirt and visible chest tattoos and by chest I mean breast not collar bone. I came in to exchange two pairs of pants, one of the pair’st paper tag fell off, which I had the tag and the plastic tag thingy that attaches to it was still on even. I asked if I could please exchange it as I was buying a sled more expensive then both pairs of pants. But she would not budge or even give me the time of day about it said no flat out no claimed the eye in the sky was there watching them so they couldn’t help me. She said I could come back MONDAY to speak to her manager, I explained that I live no where near Sparks I actually live 250 miles away so that wasn’t feasible for me as I was leaving town 12÷12÷15 the day I was in almost 24 hrs after I purchased the pants she just laughed at me. I got pissed rightfully so, and I had my husband grab a cheaper sled because well honestly I didn’t want to give you any more of my money with such lacking and rude employees seriously I was in tears they were that bad. As my husband came back up to the registers he heard Nicole and her co-worker Ester, that is the name she gave me again no name tags, making fun of me and my weight in front of other customers. The pants were $ 5.99 she fought and did all of this over $ 5.99 the original sled to exchange for was $ 15.99 so since we grabbed the $ 6.99 sled since she claimed all she could or would do was accept them as a donation so he did it. She did the donation and exchanged the other pair for the $ 6.99 sled and then to add insult to injury she did not even give or use the discount on that purchase of the new sled. So now we have a discount for a store that the closest store to me is over 30 miles away. Manager Terry on the other had is a delight and was genuinely concerned about the actions of her employees. Terry was very kind when she called me back on Monday and come to find out Terry was the Lady who helped the day I bought it. If it weren’t for how professional Terry has been helping me I would have given 1 star. Thank you Terry for your help!

This store was very large. I liked the shoe section! The shoes were actually organized by size! Unlike other Thrift Stores that organize by color. The store was fairly clean. The service was«ok». But the children’s books were WAY over priced. Normally at Thrift Stores the books are about $ 0.25…theirs were $ 1.99& up! I’ll revisit when I’m in town again, just won’t purchase books from them.

Savers definitely serves it’s purpose. I have found random costume goodness here, household items, roller skates, who knows what else I have floating around. or what I bought and then re-donated, because why did I buy that? The 50% off on holidays can’t be beat as long as you are willing to shank or beat someone to get what you want. Seriously, you’ll have to throw an elbow or two and possibly a hip check. What I really dislike about Savers is the way they mark up their clothing. They price according to brand, not item. The Goodwill puts all of their pants on a rack and prices the rack. Everything is donated and a lot of the time the people shopping there are doing so because they are on a budget. Why would you price used jeans at $ 25 when you got them for free? That system seems severely flawed to me. I’ve pretty much stopped supporting them for that reason.

What can I say about this store? I don’t feel really good about this store or very bad about this store — it’s just kinda«eh» so I’ll just list the likes and dislikes: Likes: The cheap purse selection is big. The shoes are organized by size. Pants are hung sideways which makes it easy to identify size and brand. They have a really good costume section around the holidays. Dislikes: The brand name purses cost more than an ebay auction. They don’t have much of a selection of anything half the time. The employees are crabby. The furniture section is dirty. The whole store has a dirty vibe to it. I only go to Savers when I end up at the Goodwill on Oddie and I leave empty handed 99.9% of the time.
