I would give no stars if possible. We have ordered their chicken many times in the past and would have given them 5 stars. The last 2 times, it was so over cooked, we threw it out. We felt the first time was probably a one time mistake. The second time, they managed to make it worse. It was so over cooked, the chicken so dry, there was little or no meat on the bones. Naturally, we didn’t discover this until we got home and too far to want to take it back. Too many other choices to ever give them a 3rd chance.

I would drive 300 miles for this place… Loved this place as a kid and 40 years later I still do. Every time I am in town I make sure I stop and get a Big R.

Always a good meal. The employees have always been very polite to me. The price is to be expected as it is real fast food, meaning non mega chain fast food. You get a more quality meal. Also the kitchen is easily the cleanest kitchen in Spokane !

.Been going to Ron’s for at least 30 years. When Joe Genova sold Ron’s in 1995, I was afraid the place would change for the worse. Fortunately, the new owners retained what made Ron’s successful. The BigR is still one of the best burgers in town; the Fish and chips are still great, and there is something on the menu for practically everyone. Check out the homemade tartar sauce… Granted, Ron’s is not a Seattle-based gourmet burger place. There are no clowns or bobbleheads shilling for big corporations. This is a classic burger place from the early days. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly. Now I will admit that on some occasions onrt the years, the food was not the best, or a counter person was not exactly friendly. But I’d say 99% of the time, I leave Ron“s happy and well fed.

A little pricier for fast food but still okay. Onion rings are great and burgers are pretty good. They fail on the shake department though. It tastes like they mixed water with soft serve ice cream and added chocolate syrup. Kind of a bummer.

Shout out to Rons Drivein! They allowed our awesome group Wildfire donation Roundup to hold a car wash in their parking lot. We are taking supplies to the the Fire camps and evacuation centers affected by the fires. We so appreciate you guys! Thank you! Oh and their food is yummy !

I really don’t like writing reviews on fast food restaurants because quite frankly it’s not usually anything special but since it’s not a chain restaurant I felt compelled to write something. The chicken sandwich was ok, the fries weren’t anything special, Milkshake was again nothing special, but the burger was juicy and that was the only redeeming quality which isn’t enough for me to go back. So the overall experience was MEHHH! !!!

Gosh, I’m happy I didn’t let the bad reviews stop me. I went there Thursday and got 9 shrimp and fries. The shrimp were fab but the fries a little limp. I went back today and got the shrimp basket with onion rings. It’s 16 butterflied shrimp deep fried and the crispiest onion rings. I couldn’t finish it. I find the staff very engaging and thought the prices were excellent. I’ve just recently moved here from the Bay Area and it would be very popular there. Try it and enjoy. I’ll be back in a few days to try the burgers.

Everytime we come here which we do often, the employees at the front counter always talk about guest even us, and make coming here uncomfortable. They have good food unfriendly customer service and rude.

We stopped here because we were hungry, and wanted to try a place we hadn’t tried yet. Bad idea. The girl behind the counter was rude. She looked bored and annoyed with every question. Ok, I get it. It’s fast food. But if you hate customers, don’t be in customer service! The food was very expensive, but, ok going down – burgers were bland, the fries were good. So my taste buds were mildly pleased – and I do mean mildly. Add twangy country music, and you get a not-so-enjoyable experience. Do yourself a favor, and don’t bother. Let’s just say your intestines will thank you.

If you’re looking for a classic American Drive in restaurant, look no further. The staff is super friendly, treats you like family and never disappoints when it comes customer service. Chris the bearded gentleman is a riot, always ready to serve with a smile, joke and a burger.

There are plenty of other fast food burger places in the area that serve a better burger. Also, their milkshake wasn’t good.

I won’t be coming back. The burgers are burnt and dry. Fries are blah. Place was dirty. Sorry I like the nostalgia of the place but the food needs improvement. Spokane has many more great burger places if you look around.

The BEST chicken in the valley! I could eat it 3 times/week and it would never get old. Not sure exactly how they make it, somewhere between fried and broasted. Very meaty pieces and always juicy. Get the 12-piece bucket and just try to make it home without starting to salivate! Oh, and ask for a couple of their go-with-everything tartar-sauce tabs to enhance the experience!

I wish people would start supporting local«mom and pop”-type establishments and stop giving their money to the McDonalds of the world. Next time you’re in the area, give Ron’s a chance. It’s a simple throwback to the past, and the food’s good, too. Right up the street is The Thrifty Scotsman, which is another great, local option.

My wife and I have stopped by a couple times at this place and it’s gotta be one of the worst burger joint’s we’ve ever been to. The burgers are small, dry and tasteless, the fish was just«ok» but the only thing that is consistant in this place is the mug root beer or the Dr. Pepper. Normally I try a place about 3 times before I figure it’s worth rating as bad or lousy. This place really is. Just go down another block or two and spend the same money for a Carl’s Jr. You’ll spend less and have a better burger. The kids behind the counter were nice enough but that’s not enough to make up for $ 20 spent on crappy food. Skip this place. There’s nothing new under the sun at this place. The sign may draw you in as an old time burger joint, but it’s not worth it.

So since I’m not from Spokane, I’m not adding points for nostalgia, which means it’s pretty good by itself. Had a halibut«burger» which is a fish sandwich and fries. The fries are nothing special, just the normal stick fries, no special seasoning or sauce. The fish sandwich was really pretty good, different than the filet of fish you get elsewhere. I’m not a tartar fan, but theirs was good enough that I didn’t rub it off. A tad expensive for a fish sandwich, small fries and a drink $ 6.50… in a fast food fashion.

This was the spot after little league baseball games. Grab a couple regular burgers and french fries or shake and you were good to go. The fish and chips are awesome as well as their own tarter. Go for the Big R if you want a good solid classic burger
