1÷30÷2016 Update: The idea of seeing one man perform a play depicting the life of «…William Clark’s manservant/slave York… traveling on the Lewis and Clark Expedition from 1803−06…“was intriguing. David Carteal is a multifaceted and passionate professional. Singing, dancing, doing a dozen full pushups without loosing his breath, crafting assorted personalities via assorted voices, changing characters through a simple change of prop or an article of clothing, he did it all. He demonstrated his skilled knowledge of hand drumming as he drew us along his storytelling a the voice of York. He is so talented that his energy is infectious and I can only imagine his motivating lessons as a local sixth grade teacher. Hubby and I were so glad to have attended and were on our feet at the conclusion, in a standing ovation. He’ll perform several more incredible shows in the coming weeks, both in Couer d’Alene, ID and in Spokane, but at different venues. Do go see and learn of another perspective of the Lewis and Clark Expedition! For more information, see the following:

Small and intimate place for a concert. The acoustics are great in this place! There’s usually parking around and there’s a small bar in inside.

I’ve experienced several dance recitals here and every time the staff is very helpful and organized. They are accommodating with the needs of the customers and lots of fun! The theater itself is beautifully historic and well loved!

5 stars for the building and architecture 0 stars for not getting a call back from Bing staff through the number available in Unilocal. Yesterday 11÷7÷14 I left a message at 2:00-ish exactly how the voicemail asked to leave it inquiring about tickets for the play that night. Never got a call back. You that busy? My only complaint. Anyways the CYT Peter Pan was very fun to take my wife out on a date and watch.

Very cool older theatre! Fabulous they are making updates to match the existing décor! Love the third level where they offer parties and the second level bar is comfy with a cool downtown view!

This is one of the most gorgeous theaters I’ve been to. The architecture is beautiful, the acoustics are great and the setting is intimate. I experienced John Prine seven rows back, but it seemed that I was so much closer. The only downfall I can say is if you’re short, like I am(5′-5″) and you get a giant sitting in front of you, you may have a harder time seeing, but it’s not that bad compared to most theaters from this era. Update: I came here in April 2011 for April Smith and the Great Picture Show. Everything was just as expected. Lovely theater and not a bad seat in the house. This time we decided to try out the lower balcony for the performance and if you can get near the front rows, it seems like you’re right there! Up here, there is still a little problem with us vertically challenged, but overall it’s still a great experience. As for the other review, I don’t know if they were just having issues the night she was there, but all toilets seem to in working order as a flood of females tested them out during intermission.

Really pretty, old timey theater. Pretty old timely toilets that require three flushes for proper disposal.
