I’ve been in many venues watching everything from The Rolling Stones to Pink Floyd to Nickleback. The George Thorogood show about 3 – 4 years ago is one I will always remember. What a great venue to see him. Also have seen Hells Belles a couple times here. Excellent everytime. We ate in the restaurant before the show and got to go in early. Nabbed some excellent balcony seats. Rock on!

Dont drink too much; Theyll cut you off pretty quick. I saw Slayer in June 2009, last show I saw them with Jeff Hanneman(RIP). The live sound was clear. It was an incredible show.

Last night was my first visit to the Knitting Factory and it was a high quality experience due to the professionalism of all the staff there(that I saw). I am disabled and use a walker. At every turn they were gracious about assisting me. I thought the sound was great, and for me, being right up in front made me quite happy. I do wish one could drink beer on the floor. The Bartlett is all ages and doesn’t segregate people like that, I am fairly new to Spokane, and I was pleasantly impressed by the Knitting Factory. I was prepared not to like it because it is a chain. But I was completely won over. One thing I have observed since I have been here in Spokane is that a lot of bands go through here on I 90 headed West. So the area is lucky to have this good sized venue to snag these touring artists. It is a wonderful thing for an area to have a variety of venue options making it more likely to attract bands and musicians of all levels.

Went for the 1st time last night with free tickets to «The Next Big Thing», a concert featuring new country singers. All artists were great, they all talked about their Faith in God, which was refreshing. I looked on the website for Knitting Factory before going-it didn’t have any info about their venue-so here is some info for 1st time patrons like me… Be prepared to do A LOT of standing. They are a «family-friendly» venue. Get there early to get in line. The concert started at 7:00-we were about 10th in line when we arrived at 4:45. Waited outside in the rain until they opened the outer door at 5:45. We waited inside til 6:40& with all the people who«cut in”-we were about the 35th people in line. Security announced there was«no furniture» inside. When they finally let us in the venue-it was a mad frenzy of people pushing, cutting & running into the venue. We ended up running up the stairs & grabbed 2 bar stools against the rail because that was the only place where we immediately saw open seats. Little did we know-we were sitting in the«kid-zone» where I found out later on that you can’t have alcohol there as I was stopped trying to get back to my seat with my drink. No wonder I saw an occasional waitress delivering drinks to people below. I don’t think they serve any food, but wouldn’t know due to no communication by the venue on anything. I had parents holding their kids above me from behind, trying to let them see(who were pushing against me) You should get reservations at the District Bar before the show-because they let their patrons into the venue BEFORE the people who stand in line for hours. Knitting Factory is very unorganized, uninformative, & they need to put up a fence for the line & supervise the waiting line to prevent cutters. Other than that-the music & sound were great!

The music, the vibe, the everything is pretty much good. But you know what was’t good? There raw garlic death fries that I was served at the purity ring show. They literally cleared an area in front of me and were inedible. I told the waitress and she was like«they are kind of our thing». Um if your thing is gross raw garlic fries then«I’m sorry I guess».

Great staff. I lost a wallet during a concert. It was found by security and kept in the safe. Didn’t expect to see it again. Thanks for your integrity guys!

We went here to see Brandi Carlile last night and stayed a couple of hours, saw most of the opening act and then decided to leave before she performed because the place was unbearable. We stood in the huge line for almost an hour even though we had tickets. Once we were allowed into the theater, there were no chairs so the entire audience had to stand. We thought we’d get dinner there but without seats or tables, that didn’t work. We tried the restaurant first but it was full so we couldn’t get in. The menu in the theater is burgers and chips. They have a bar on both floors and sell a lot of drinks. Bottom line: the Knitting Factory is for college-age people who are happy to stand shoulder to shoulder in a party mob. I was that age once and had plenty of fun then. If you’re not looking for that, choose another place.

The Knit has all of the proper attributes to be a five star venue. The location is close, but not too close to the highway. There are good pregame spots very close by(shout out 24 taps!) The venue itself is a pretty good looking building on the inside and the concert area is conducive to rocking out while being able to egress freely to the bar. The Knit brought in ALICEINCHAINS! They got the stuff to hold a band such as that effectively without burning down. What I hated about this place where the people. Ooh boy… What do you almost always have to do in public? Wait in line some where. Big deal. I waited in line while so called rock gurus pissed and moaned about not getting into the concert floor on time, failing to realize we were actually inside the building early. I don’t need a human cigarette telling me how the last show he saw here was way better. I then go to the T-Shirt place to get that business done. I know the prices are always outrageous, so I won’t even go there. But the guy said«our machines are down». Really? Bullshit. I was close to the front of the whole crowd. The one time and for the only one purpose that machine needed to work, and it’s gonna go down. Are you sure you’re not just an imbecile that operate a CC machine? So now everyone in the place has to pay cash for their merch. And how many people have to wait in line for the shitty ATM with the convenient surcharge? Really though, fuck you. Just be straight up about it. Say we are cash only. Be a man. So I get to my spot I’m going to hold down for the show… on the railing behind the floor. I’m in the front row of the raised area in front of the bar. The opener goes on and I’m immediately being rained down upon with beer by some drunk dickhead on the balcony. It happened a bunch of times and it wasn’t a small amount of beer either. It got to the point that a guy I was standing next to went up there to have words with them after his wife got spilled on. Did it stop? Did they maybe pull their beer in from over the railing? No. They just kept on spilling on us, and by this time the place was packed and these were the best spots we could get. I’m with my family by the way, other wise I would have been on the floor. I’m not afraid to sweat it out and be close to strangers in the pit, but when I’m chilling and trying to enjoy the show, I don’t need a beer shower. What do people do at concerts? Yes, sing along with their favorite songs. So that’s what I did. But then I had the push-broom Ned Flanders mother fucker standing next to me plugging his ears and telling me I can’t sing. A) Fuck you. Listen to the band and mind your own business. B) I know I can’t sing. Thanks for the late breaking news. There’s a reason I’m in the crowd and not on stage. Worry about yourself and watch the show, don’t worry about me… shithead. Anyway, the show itself was great. Alice in Chains is amazing and the production as a whole was great. Venue staff was on point, the crews were good, and the venue held up fine. I guess my main problem were the people. I already didn’t like Spokane to begin with, but it had been a few years and was looking forward to giving in another try. I’m disappointed, but not surprised. The show itself was the only redeeming quality to the whole experience, which is the whole point I suppose… But I’d rather not ever go back to that Knitting Factory and more importantly Spo-Compton again.

The music is good and perhaps that’s why they get away with charging 6 dollars a glass for beer. Way over priced next time I’m sticking to just water. As for the food. I got two orders of fries to share with my table. The orders were large enough for 4 people and were great. They took forever to get though we were sitting at a side table and the server seemed more interested in serving the first and second seating areas. I finally had to get up leave my table and the show to track down the server. When I did get a hold of her she checked her pos and promptly informed me that she had forgotten to put the order into the back. Which I knew was a lie. I’ve worked those kinds of tills before. I paid upfront with my card meaning the system would have automatically sent the order to the kitchen. She once again rang me up and wanted me to pay. I showed her my ticket saying I already had. She«comped» the order. It then took another 20 minutes to get my food. Total ticket time for 2 baskets of fries. 65 minutes. Eat before you arrive.

Pretty decent venue for a close and person experience. I saw Iration here and loved being down in the crowd, dancing along to the music. Can be a bit tough to get a drink as you would expect, but if you can manage a little wait, or actually focus on the concert, you should be fine. I have also seen OAR and Gavin Degraw here. Pretty decent acts for Spokane and good size to make it feel packed. Nothing worse than a venue that is too large for the band. If there is a good band you like, I recommend going to see them here,

Honestly, we had a good time at the Knitting Factory. The crowd there was definitely your«rave-bro and rave-ho» types, but I guess that’s what you get for going to an ODESZA concert. The 19-year-olds in sequined rainbow underwear and ganja-printed thigh-highs aside, the show was fun, the venue was full but not uncomfortably packed, and we got in without a line or any hassle. There was a LOT of e-cigging and vaping going on(and not all of it was tobacco), so beware if that sort of thing bothers you. I would not recommend drinking here — the drinks are ridiculously overpriced. Pre-funk, hold your shit together, and have fun.

Pretty average venue. The staff was pleasant, the location is great(I like being in walking distance to the mall to kill some time before a show), and the sound was just fine. I like that it’s a venue on the smaller size. One gripe: the show I went to had a skip the line pass if you ate in their dumb little restaurant/got a drink before the show. I had friends get in line early for a good spot, and instead a bunch of old farts that were willing to pay for drinks early got better ones despite showing up late just because they knew about the skip the line. Lame.

Pretty good venue, I’d say the staff is legit, follow the rules and there shouldn’t be any trouble. Drinks are WAYWAY Spendy but there are several places around to pre funk at. They offer a wide variety of bands and the concert is always great. It’s a little on the small side but I guess it just depends on whose playing for how packed it is.

The best place to catch live music in Spokane, but that’s not saying much… beers are as overpriced as any event venue, and seating is limited so either get there early or grab a bite to eat next door and they’ll get you in early. Or be a man and get in the pit :)

Very unimpressed with this place. The food was ill-prepared and the staff was only moderately courteous and helpful. The sound was decent, but was definitely expecting more from this location. It also felt a bit dirty to me and not up to par for a venue of this size.

Horrible venue As you walk a moldy, rotting odor greets you as you walk on the sticky bar floor to get a drink. The only wine the knitting factory carried on Saturday night was Chardonnay out of a box. The bartender and staff were courteous, Sammy Eubanks and the other two bands were great! However, the knitting factory venue was dirty, smelly, and the bathrooms were gross.

Cool place to see a show: good sound and elevated stage and bar areas mean that those on the floor and in the back both have a view. Drinks are overpriced(of course), but not as bad as at larger venues. The no re-entry policy was kind of a bummer; just plan ahead for that and don’t go inside until you’re ready to stay till the end.

Probably the best venue concert venue in Downtown but drink prices are over-inflated for the area and the bar staff has a difficult time keeping a large line queued appropriately. Security does a great job at keeping everyone safe and I never felt at-risk during any shows that I attended. I have seen many shows here and always had fun with my friends, on and off stage. But after a REALLY bad experience at the Snoop concert, I will never go back On the Snoop concert, keep in mind this was all on a weeknight: The show was advertised to start at 9pm and no opener was shown on the ticket or advertising. At 9:30pm an opener comes on, someone I’ve never heard of, and were off stage by 10pm. Everyone then stood there for an hour-and-a-half staring at an empty stage! Security had no idea what the hold-up was and when I asked to speak with the house manager, I was told they were not there and I was shocked that the manager was not present for such a large show. When I attempted to contact management, multiple times, I received no reply. The absolute lack of caring from management is why I will never go back to this venue, regardless of the show. They know they are the only small and decent venue in town and have a big head about it. Club 412 has the potential to be a good competing, although smaller, venue.

A while back, I was up visiting Spokane right around the time of that big Gorge concert that happens every May. I set my son up with pizza and a movie in our hotel room and wanted to go see some shows. Since Spokane is far enough away from the Gorge Amphitheater, many great bands can go into Idaho and around Spokane and play shows without getting into Gorge contractual issues. I got lucky when I stumbled upon the Knitting Factory because I have been to several shows in San Diego at smaller, more intimate clubs and that’s the way I like it. So I have no problem with size here. What I didn’t appreciate was that when I was dancing to The Hives, a creepy guy was trying to snap photos with his cell phone of the exalted area beneath my dress. I caught this perv red-handed and spent the rest of the evening holding down my dress and slip and thankful I had undies on. I won’t hold that against the place. It is very friendly at the Knitting Factory. No big deal for performing bands to venture out on the floor and hang with you in the bar area. The Hives lead singer even came around outside and lit my cigarette when I was getting some fresh air. All together, I liked the Knitting Factory just fine and I hope that Spokane appreciates this fine venue that attracts some really great music to their beautiful area.

Damn. Nice Job, Spokane. We showed up as a big group to the place next door– the mix 916 or something and that, I wouldn’t recommend as much(see that review) but this space was fantastic. The catwalk/balcony all around was a great seat, as were the tables in the 21+ area, lots of bathrooms, drinks were reasonably priced and once I gave a good tip, strong as hell. Show was amazing, that didn’t hurt(thanks, Hell’s Belles, you rocked my world) but overall, one of the best venues I’ve been lately to see a show. (to the guy who grabbed my ass not once but three f-ing times, see, your dickhead behavior didn’t ruin my good time but next time, I’m going to kick you in the balls with those pointy boots of mine)
