Broadway Diner

I had been wanting to try this place forever. The baby kept the wife and I up all night so about 6 AM we started looking for breakfast places online and decided on the Broadway Diner. It’s close to our house and they’re open ²⁴⁄₇. I called and placed a to-​go order. The lady on the phone was very nice.
When I went to pick up the food, the place was dead. It was 6 AM and aside from one drowsy trucker sipping coffee, the place was empty. The waitresses were much older and very friendly. They looked exactly like how you would picture a truckstop waitress in your head. The restaurant was undeniably charming. I read online that they remodeled it recently. It showed. For a truck stop it was very clean and updated. My order was brought out to me after a couple minutes so I said goodbye and took my food home.
I got the Lumberjack’s Platter and my wife got the French toast combo. Honestly, I wanted to love the food. I tried to love the food. But I couldn’t love the food… It just wasn’t very good. My scramble was so incredibly salty, I ate about half of it and couldn’t finish the rest. Its rare for me to throw away food… But the remainder of my scramble found its way into the trash. My wife is extremely picky and of course she didn’t much like her meal either. Sigh. Incredibly mediocre fare. I could have easily made a better tasting scramble at home.
I so wanted to love this place. The restaurant is lovely for a truck stop diner and the waitresses were nice but the food just isn’t very good, plain and simple. It’s just cheap tasting trucker food. Nothing original or overly enjoyable in the slightest. I don’t see myself ever going back to the Broadway Diner… but you never know. Try it if you must but be prepared for a Denny’s-esque style meal.

Food was good, had some kind of scramble. However the waitress couldn’t pickup on the non-​verbal queues that we didn’t want to continue talking, we wanted to eat our food. It’s in a truck stop so it’s a somewhat hidden. Very clean for a truck stop.

Great service! We stopped to eat here on our way home to Seattle. Our server was a sweetheart! The food was yummy! Overall good choice!

Straight up delicious trucker diner. My parents live in Spokane and they go here at least once a month. We go everytime we’re in town. Large quantities and great tasting food. Plus, all the truckers are fun to watch. The service is friendly and on top of things. Get the banana strawberry pancakes if you want your mind blown!

I just love this Diner. it is in the Broadway Truckstop. The food is just like home cooking. Real feel good food. The Chicken fried steak is great. the Pot roast sandwich is awsome served open faced with gravy it is real good.
The dining room is clean has TVs and is a great place to have a cup of coffee and a piece of pie.
I also like the breakfast here. the ham steak and eggs is yummy and I always have to add the buscuits and gravy because I love it.
