Cinco de Mayo you would think they had staff to accommodate the traffic-NO! We waited 10 mins just to be greeted oh and not with waters and menus but with chips and salsa. Then another 10 mins we got to order drinks. Then we got to order food only after ordering another round of drinks. NO service… we waited finally got menus and then another 10 minutes and we got to order only to have it delivered not the right stuff we ordered. Then I looked at the bill 12 dollars for large margaritas each that were not even close to decent. Stay away if you like your money. 60 dollars later still had to find good food to eat!

This place is a win. Looks sketchy on the outside but nice family restaurant on the inside. Very unusual to find such good vegetarian options — including fajitas! Great food and service.

Exceptional food, exceptional service! Quite possibly the best Mexican in town. Don’t let the outside fool you. It’s clean and inviting once inside. Not to mention, huge.

Don’t ever judge a book by its cover. This quaint little place is absolutely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Spokane. It is definitely one of the hole in the walls that you would pass by which makes it even better. It’s a short walk from my home and I can come here without ever expecting it to be super busy. The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. It will leave your taste buds tantalizing for more. Thank you!

Obviously people in spokane has no idea how Mexican food is suppose to taste. Really funny that this place has so many starts, because is the worst Mexican restaurant i’ve ever been.

Love coming here when I forget to bring lunch to work. Small family owned restaurant when they start to remember by the third visit. I come for the tongue tacos usually but everything I have had has been great. The list a star because they occasionally run out of tongue and it is slightly over priced. They also have a full bar next door so it’s a decent after work stop too if you are just avoiding home. Never seen it too busy but I have also never come in during dinner or a weekend.

Can’t say enough good things about the street tacos! Décor may not be much to brag about, but the food has always been outstanding!

Since moving here from California I’ve been searching for good Mexican. This place has killer, cheap food(lengua burrito is top notch!) They always have drink specials and the bartenders are super friendly. If it gets busy you might have a little bit of a wait but a beer and the chips and house made salsa always keep me occupied anyway. There’s also pool, a Foosball table, a back patio, and a dance floor open on the weekends. Love this place!

They got really high prices for what they serve. 2.50 for a taco. DANG! I’ve had way better tacos for half the prices off a little truck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere! their beef wasn’t tasty at all. Don’t waste your money.

If you’re looking for a great Mexican spot in downtown Spokane, look no further. Very welcoming environment, food is incredible and very fairly priced! We walked over after a terrible experience at El Que and two minutes in such a difference in service, the folks treated us like a family member or friend and were genuinely happy we were here! Which is what you’d expect from a restaurant or business but not always the case and definitely not what their competitors are practicing. We will be back!

The place is a dump so I couldn’t give a full 5 stars but the food and service are great. I haven’t found tacos as good as these in Seattle so I look forward to these when I’m in Spokane. When you come in they give you a basket of chips and their runny, spicy, delicious salsa. It has lots of onions and cilantro. Love it. I always order the same: 2 Al Pastor and 2 Ranchero tacos. The Al Pastor is amazing! The pork and pineapple get a little delicious brown crust when they grill it. The Ranchero tacos are beef with grilled Walla Walla Sweet onions and thin slices of jalapenos. The beef is good and has less gristle than most. They bring you two house made salsas with your tacos, both of which are delicious. I love putting the tangy tomatillo salsa on the beef tacos and the slightly spicy smooth red salsa on the pork tacos. The staff is quietly friendly and they have a full bar.

We won’t be back. Good chips and salsa, good hot sauces, and friendly service. That is it for the highlights. The taco salad had bland chicken. The cheese quesadilla was just okay(how do you mess that up?). My burrito plate was pretty small. The carne asada had no spice and poor texture. No burrito sauce; just meat rice beans and some onion. On a combo plate with beans and rice it was pretty redundant. Also: DONTBELIEVETHEMENUPHOTOSON Unilocal. Their prices are substantially higher. I’m including a photo of the burrito combo.

Easily the most authentic Mexican food that I have had in town that isn’t made at home. Prices are VERY fair and the food is incredible! Don’t let the building throw you off, this place is as close to D.F. as you’re going to get up here!

My last experience here was terrible. The chicken meat was from a can. The bathroom stunk up the dining room. The large 9 dollar drinks didn’t even give us a buzz. Our bill was huge. You can’t go wrong with their tacos al pastor. Stay away from the chile verde. Awful stuff.

If you’re looking for great tacos and a terrible staff, look no further! Delicious tacos are to be found here, and while you wait 30 minutes with multiple reminders, you just might get your water. If you can wait the full hour, you end up with some great street style tacos. Once you ask for your check, make sure to give ample time as sometimes it takes a while for the staff to drink behind the bar and ignore you. Approach the counter with caution as they may start calling you gay slurs in spanish, because you probably don’t understand spanish. The several times I’ve been there it’s been mostly great, which is why I’ve given it two stars instead of one. The female servers have always been a pleasure to deal with and are very attentive. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll ever go there again, but I will miss the great tacos.

ASAUTHENTICASITGETS. Late night specials: $ 1 carne asada or chicken tacos. Rule of thumb: you know it’s authentic when you walk out of there and your hair smells like a dirty/greasy/Mexican hole in the wall. And that it did. Park on the street. The surrounding neighborhood isn’t the best, but on the plus side since no one else wants to leave their car there, there’s plenty o’parking! lol.
