Hotels and motels are extremely subjective. While my husband absolutely would never stay here again, I would if I needed a clean place to stay near downtown and Browne’s Addition with easy access to I-90 and the rest of the city. First, I wish to commend Charles, the manager, and his wife Tracy, also a manager. Charles went out of his way to accommodate us so we could check in early; he called about an hour after we landed(10:30 am) and told me we could check in. If I could just go by that alone, I could give this place 5 stars! Couple of notes: 1: You must prepay in advance. 2. You must bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and lotion as none are provided.(The maid told us shampoo was available for sale in the lobby.) 3. There are no «do not disturb» signs to put on the door, and the maid will come by daily. Even if you say through the door that nothing is needed, she will persist knocking until you answer and tell her nothing is needed. 4. If your room is on the very end, furthest from the trains, if you get in late, you will have problems getting a spot right by your room and may be tempted to park on the side of the motel near 2nd Ave. W. Don’t do it, unless you plan to move the car before 6 am. Otherwise, Jenny(of Jenny’s Diner) may slip you a note with a warning or may just have your car towed. The room was very clean and, while I’m normally suspicious of a deodorized smell hiding dirt, it really was clean, including the carpet. Having a king bed was nice, but the mattress was a bit too hard; plus, there were only two almost mini pillows(i.e., not even standard pillow sized). But, in our room, anyway, the sink and tub were discolored. But I liked having the sink outside the place where the toilet and shower/tub were. Some of the people staying at the motel as well as some passersby did look somewhat suspect. However, we had no problems with anyone trying to do anything with the rental car. And, for the most part, people in the motel were pretty quiet. We liked the fact that two diners were nearby if we wanted coffee or breakfast.(We went to Frank’s, which is under a separate review.) A bakery /coffee shop is also nearby. There is also a Mexican restaurant across the street, but we didn’t try it. One reviewer mentioned the train noise. Oddly enough, while the garage door opener at home will wake me up every time, I found the train noise strangely soothing. Hubby, on the other hand, slept almost nary a wink, mainly due to the trains coming by extremely frequently, both day and night. So, basically, this fact alone could be a deal breaker for many, despite the reasonable price. Plus, 2nd Ave. W. can be relatively busy, so traffic noise(if you’re on the end of the building right off it) may also be nerve-racking for some. Lastly, this motel does apparently allow pets, as do most of the motels and some of the hotels in the Spokane area. So if you are severely allergic, you may wish to find somewhere that is not as pet friendly. For whatever reason, I didn’t think pets were allowed here, so I didn’t ask to be put in a pet free room — so I don’t know if that’s an option or not. And speaking of allergies, our smoke free room absolutely seemed to be totally free from residue smoke. In summary, this is a great bargain motel if you’re comfy with a relatively sketchy area(although, again, we had absolutely no problems) and, most importantly, you don’t mind train noise(the entire motel) or car noise(those units right off 2nd Ave. W. and S, Walnut). Plus, there are two diners nearby as well as a bakery/espresso shop within a couple blocks, all rated 4 stars in Unilocal

Évaluation du lieu : 5 San Carlos, CA
My mother and I spent eight nights at the Tiki Lodge in Spokane, WA. We picked this motel based on the positive reviews on and Trip Advisor. Our experience was even more positive than those mentioned in the reviews. We were given a weekly rate even though we had not requested it. The daily rate is certainly lower than most of the other motels. The room was large and very clean. The towels were soft and readily replaced every day. We had two queen beds which were firm and comfortable. The management changed our reservation to a room that included a refrigerator and a microwave. There was a very large parking lot. The central location of the motel allowed us to easily travel downtown, had easy access to the freeways, and we were able to travel to all areas of Spokane very easily. The management staff were personally warm and friendly. They suggested restaurants and always answered any of our questions. They were very concerned that we have an enjoyable stay. The cleaning staff were prompt every day and always asked if we needed more towels or any other items. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a positive motel experience in Spokane!
