Great food! Hashbrowns can’t be beat… best I have ever tasted. Had the corned beef hash and eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Toast is standard so no need to grade it, but the corned beef hash was a 4, hashbrowns a 5. The cook knew how to cook the eggs perfectly, and you don’t see that a lot of times when ordering eggs. The servers were nice. I love diners. This one is dated and that is what makes it fun… I will go back again I am sure. It wasn’t very busy, but they mentioned that they have $ 4.99 cheeseburgers on Thursdays for lunch! Can’t beat that… can’t get that at a fast food joint most of the time! Go see them… you won’t be sorry!!!

Typical breakfast diner. I got the omelet with ham and veggies and it did not disappoint. They claim to have the best hashbrowns in town. I would say they are pretty good, but since I haven’t eaten every hashbrown in town I can’t say they’re the best.

Your basic dive diner. Loved by the local youth and no nonsense breakfast lovers. Lunch menu as well. Great for kids. Not great for fancy pants folk. Bisquits and gravy: 3 stars(not a fan) Hashbrowns: 5 stars(best in town?) Service was attentive and direct. This place could be a lot cooler inside if they swapped out the wicker furniture for some eames chairs and got a graphic designer in on the menu and… Forget it. Jenny is who she is– and she is just fine.

Good breakfast, just the basics but well done. Classic diner, clean, good service. Hash browns are good, order crispy and they were to order. Fair prices, we will be back.

Eggs? Over medium. Bacon? Crispy but not shriveled up. Homemade corned beef hash? A symphonic blend of meat and potatoes. Country gravy? Delish. Hash Browns? I’ve never had any like these. When you mix up the hash with your eggs and hash browns you get these yummy crispy surprises. The coffee was great too!

The décor is out dated and is a dive, but the food and service were great! The staff was friendly and quick. The food appeared made from scratch. Would definately eat here again.

If you don’t know where Franks diner is its right past Jenny’s diner. If you end up at Jenny’s ask for Jessica. Then quote Portlandia to her(the chicken diner scene). Other than that it was a standard diner experience. Not organic. Strawberries totes not fresh. But I’m full and now in a food coma.

Don’t let the cover fool you. If you’re looking for great food and the best service, this is the one for you. It may be older but it’s immaculately clean.

Food was ok, menu was cookie cutter. They get 4 stars for being super friendly. Very nice service staff.

So Jenny’s has garnered best breakfast in Spokane a few times. We wanted to try it out before a workout and see how it went. I got a breakfast that had an egg and some sausage. It was a «lighter fare» breakfast and it had one biscuit and gravy. It was pretty tasty! Best breakfast in Spokane? I don’t think so but it was okay. Hard to mess up eggs. I tried my sister’s hashbrowns and they were pretty good. I don’t think they’re the best I’ve ever had but they weren’t the mashy mess you sometimes experience at breakfast joints. Jenny’s gets a B from me. Oh and it was cheap! Breakfast was like $ 5 – 6? Private parking lot, huge place. Our water was refilled in plastic tumblers. If you like dives that don’t break the bank, you’ll dig Jenny’s.

The food and service were both fantastic. We had breakfast there after being directed and referred to «Frankie’s»(??) which is just a block away but had a 45 minutes wait on Saturday morning. We saw Jenny’s right up the road and saw all the good Unilocal reviews and proceeded there so we could eat and get on with our day. We made the right choice. I had pancakes and hash browns. Both were top-notch. My girlfriend had a vegetarian omelet that she loved.

This beaten old diner reminds me of the cover to Billy Joel’ 52nd street. Grungy, beaten with an ugly stick. a former Denny’s or Sambos with weeds in the parking lot . It features rattan chairs which are moslty uncomfortable. BUT the cutie pie server was very good and the luscious hash browns and stout breakfast portions makes this dive a keeper!

We went with a big group of friends today for breakfast and we received the worst service I’ve ever encountered. When we walked in we had to seat ourselves and had to split up into three different tables. When a large group left we asked if we could all be seated together. The staff replied that they couldn’t because there wasn’t enough staff to bus the table(ie they were lazy). I then asked if we could put a table next to a booth and the waitress replied no and gave some lame excuse about not having enough tables available. At that point I was fed up with the service and our family decided to go elsewhere. We didn’t try the food and from reviews it’s lackluster. I will never go to this restaurant and I don’t believe I’m missing out on much. Take your money elsewhere.

Real solid breakfast joint. Great service. A lot of stuff made in house, including the corned beef hash, which was very tasty. Doesn’t look like much grime the outside, but the employees there are very welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive. Only cons would be that for some reason, they don’t have spinach as an ingredient for omelettes(never spell that word right), and no Cholula or similar hot sauce. Gotta have Trappeys Red Devil(maybe) or Cholula(definitely) at a breakfast joint. Gotta. But very nice spot, otherwise.

This is your typical greasy spoon. Dingy on the outside and tasty on the inside. Atmosphere is ghost town diner meets neighborhood nook. Menu was basic, nothing fancy, mostly short order stuff. Breakfast is served all day and all day is until 2pm when they close. We had their early bird special, ham omelet, biscuits and gravy and a bacon waffle. Portions were fair, everything was cooked well and seasoned well and we got everything as we asked for it. We got out paying just under $ 10 each. If you are looking for an experience, this is not the place for you… It’s kind of run down and not pretty took at. If you’re looking for a cheap, quick and inexpensive no-frills meal… This will work.

This is definitely my go to place for a great diner breakfast. Best hash browns. Super friendly service. Always consistent!

This place is kind of a sleeper from outside. To be honest it looks a bit shabby and run down. However I must say that I was more than pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the chicken fried steak, which was hand breaded. The hashbrowns were shredded from fresh potatoes and cooked up crispy. Finally, they cooked my over-easy eggs to perfection. The service was great — real warm and friendly. The prices are super reasonable too! I get the feeling that this place gets overshadowed by the Frank’s Diner across the street. I can’t speak to how good that place is(there was a line out the door when I drove by), but what i can say is that if I were traveling through Spokane again, I would for sure make a stop at Jenny’s.

Worst dining experience in my 39 years. Really? Yes. Over exaggerating? No. Place was 85% full & tables stayed dirty. Nobody greeted me upon entering. Nor did anyone greet the people that arrived before and after me. No signs to wait or seat yourself. Servers lacked cohesion, organization and some were near running to get to their food orders then cash out somebody else. They didn’t have a designated cashier. Was painful to watch. No food runners. Complete chaos. Because it was Father’s Day and crowded everywhere else I went and stood by a dirty table. I got a high chair for my daughter which was sticky. The server started washing the table next to us– where nobody was seated – before clearing ours. Just then an older man, there with his wife and baby, came up to counter and complained he was being ignored. Which he was. They made lame excuses which sadly means they are unaware of their organizational problems. I completely question there sanitary practices. I will pay anyone NOT to eat here. Owners: please contact me for FOH training.

As I sit in Jenny’s diner, I notice a beautiful woman across the parking lot waiting in line at franks. My wife and I ordered breakfast, get our beverages, eat our tasty, freshly prepared meals all within 20 min! All the while the attractive female across the street is still waiting to get a seat at franks… Moral of the story is: why wait in line for an hour for a breakfast that is even better right across the street? I guess beauty is all in the eye of the beholder… Ps the hash browns at Jenny’s are the best in town!!!
