1st and only time for this restaurant. 4 of us went for lunch. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered 4 tacos, nachos, and a quesadilla. Took 20 minutes to get the food. Nachos had very little cheese, dry meat, and a wing type hot sauce on it. Pork tacos were not flavorful. My carnivorous daughter was disappointed. The meatless greek taco was good. The quesadilla was alright too. The bathroom was out of papertowels and toilet paper. I wonder why the female staff didn’t know the papertowels were empty in the bathroom. Don’t they wash their hands??? Staff initially said they couldn’t break a $ 100 bill. The tab was $ 40.40. What restaurant wouldn’t have $ 60 in their till on a weekend? The staff person went and got change from the bar, then had difficulty trying to figure out the change.

This place is great for lunch! Super friendly– everything is fresh made– very friendly staff– I don’t know how this place is not packed ! Clean and affordable– who doesn’t like tacos? I will be moving it into my lunchtime rotation for sure.

Jalapeño Poppers not your everyday poppers. These aren’t fried. They’re stuffed with cheese and topped with pico gallo. Very good! We came on cinco de mayo — the restaurant area was pretty empty. We liked everything we ordered. From the poppers, to hard shell beef tacos and street tacos. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the margaritas, I was disappointed in the size of the glass it came in and the flavor. I like my margaritas big and tall or at least served in fish bowls. The flavor was a bit off, maybe it was just their spin on it or just the particular mix. I’ve been here a few times now, I keep going back for their… Street tacos! It’s awesome :-)

Even though it was a packed house, the two employees were on top of everything and cared for everyone with a positive attitude. I will be visiting again with more friends!

Dang. Quite possibly the worst tacos we’ve ever had. It took them an hour to get them to us, just don’t.

This place has gotten worse. The restaurant feels like an afterthought to the adjacent bar. Tonight there was a single employee staffing Ash Street Tacos, cooking, taking orders and delivering food. Some menu items have been removed, such as the different salsas, which was part of the menu’s appeal. Also, instead of table service you now order at the counter(if the single employee is not busy doing other things. Every time we go, I would swear it’s the employee’s first day on the job. The food was good, but a moderate dinner for 4 was $ 50(without tip, no alcohol). Sadly, this was probably our last trip there. I wouldn’t be surprised if this closes in the next few months or just becomes a food outlet for Tonix.

They have no idea what a «street taco» is. No peppers on the plate or radishes, 2 for $ 4 you get 5 on a taco plate for $ 5 from a taco truck! Meat is dry & no flavor to the meat. Chips do not look like they’re made in house & you have to pay for your chips & salsa which the serve your salsa in a container to small to actually put your chip in to get any salsa on. The atmosphere is ok, but you’d never ever know you were in a taco joint. I would not consider this to be a Mexican restaurant… they don’t know what they’re doing, not sure who they’re trying to fool!

Chicken soft tacos so fresh, they come with pieces of bone still in ‘em. No flavor, but bone. But fresh like they killed some free rangers behind the diner. They do did offer our money back, but we figured this review would suit us better. It was lunchtime and nobody else was inside, now you know why.

Really disappointed. Tacos are the size of the palm of my hand and $ 3 a piece. Quality wasn’t bad, but everything is under seasoned. Guacamole is made in house(probably) but must have been made earlier in the day and without lime because it was browning when we got it. Margaritas were good, but this texas girl will look elsewhere for better Mexican food.

Tacos were dry and not tasty. We got 3 tacos, a burrito, and nacho. All taste nasty, what a waste of $ 30.00. Expensive and not tasty at all, will not go again.

Just went to Ash Street Tacos with my Dad for the first time ever, to place a To go order. My group was really disappointed on so many levels. The food is not impressive and overpriced. The restaurant was empty when we walked in. First, the young man behind the counter asked our order and let me talk for a while before saying ‚“wait, I better ring this up first so I can have a printout of what I’m making”. So he takes our order again. And then the kid started warming up the meat on the grill… While he was doing that I saw the beers on tap and got excited– a new beer I’ve been waiting to try was on tap! I said, «Oh, you have Clementine on tap! That’s New Belgium’s new beer right?» He said, «Uh I wouldn’t know. I can’t serve you anyway.» With no further comment. I was disappointed because I would have liked to try it, but it didn’t appear there was anyone else in the restaurant. The boy didn’t offer to get anyone else or a reason why I couldn’t get a beer. I’m upset because they advertise great beers but apparently you can’t order one. Then we tried the food at home with my mom. Everything was bleh. Chips and salsa are really chips and pico de gallo, pico was bland. Ash street tacos were overpriced because at least most modern taco places give you two corn tortillas on the outside so you get more bang for your buck, but this place didn’t. My Pork taco was under seasoned, my dad hated his beef Ash street tacos and my mom didn’t like her taco salad. Taco salad on menu listed with ground beef but had shredded, and my mom said the chips tasted burnt. House salsa was bland and under seasoned. I also got«jalapeño poppers» which were 3 cut jalapeños with meat and cheese melted on them on grill. NOT fried poppers. They were even bland! No kick to the jalapeños and nothing to the recipe! And was $ 6 for those! Ugh not happy! Won’t return!

I was personally disappointed in these tacos. I ordered 3 varieties… one was chicken one was beef and I believe the third was shrimp. All of the tacos tasted the exact same. And not in a good way. In a SWEET way. Like they had poured sugar in the marinades for their meat and marinated them all in the same brew. :(

To start off this review I will say the food was delicious. I would have definitely had given it a better rating but the service was not great at all. It took 20 minutes for the bartender to even ask if she could take our order or even approach us. She did not refill our drinks and after we were done. it was about another 30 minutes before we got our check. There are two sides of the restaurant and my husband and I were there mid day and not to mention the only ones in that side of the restaurant. We have not been back since. I would, however probably give it one more shot at some point and hope they were having a really off day because it seems they are doing ok and I’m sure that kind of customer service on a regular basis would close their doors.

DONOTEATHERE!!! Literally this is the most disgusting restaurant I have ever stepped foot into in my life. We were just out for the day and thought we would stop in for some tacos, horrible idea on our part. I walked in and the vibe seemed nice, but the service and food was awful. Not only were there flies EVERYWHERE, the tables were dirty, silverware didn’t seemed washed, and the food was just the worst! I wanted a drink and the bar was closed as well. One of the servers was telling us that the owner«shows up when he wants». I don’t see this business being around much longe

Can’t beat three street tacos for five dollars. One of each: beef, chicken, and pork. Loaded with onions and cilantro. Definitely want to try their specialty tacos.

Great tacos terrible service. The first time we went we were the only peeps there. Aka doted on. Second time? 1.5 hours plus to get tacos and a cocktail. Service was poor. One cook/waitress. How the hell does that work? Hire more folks or shut your doors. We aren’t coming back.

My brother and I went for a late dinner just to try it out. It was completely deserted. The food was horrible and the employee was telling us how he wanted to quit. He told us that an employee had been fired due to doing cocaine, however; she was later rehired because they were«desperate». He continued on to give us his life story using a lot of curse words. I think it’s safe to say this place will not be around much longer. I would NOT recommend it to anyone!

Specifically for Ash St. Tacos — love their tacos! Went for a happy hour special which was three street tacos for $ 4. They have a simple brilliance to their tacos. However lots of cilantro is used which my mom would have hated but I loved. I’ve also gotten their nachos to-go(prior to the Unilocal app). With a huge portion there were many great flavors and a couple of meals.

I wanted this place to be good so badly because the 5 mile area really needs a good bar, but they just fell short in every category. Drinks were expensive and the food was ridiculously priced and very lacking. Upon entering this establishment I knew I was in trouble, it took a while for the staff to take orders, but once they finally showed up they were attentive. They had 6 – 8 beers on tap including a local and a few micros but overall the tap selection was lacking unless Blue Moon is your idea of a «micro» brew. I was pretty hungry so I ordered some chicken tacos. The description on the menu sounded delicious, I wish I would have gotten those. What showed up were tiny soft tacos filled with corn salsa and mango chunks. Into my 3rd taco, I finally found a tiny piece of chicken. They were very dry and at $ 3 apiece they were way overpriced. I felt so guilty for tipping at this place, the food and service were just not worth it. I actually had to go to another place to get a second dinner because I was still absolutely starving.
