Tasty frozen yogurt in Casa de Oro! Got to have a sweet treat here every once in a while. Chocolate yogurt with fresh fruit and dried coconut is my favorite! Cute and clean, with nice tables to sit at inside. A must try if your in the neighborhood!

Oh boy nooooooo. Walked in, Asian lady super friendly but impossible to understand. 4 flavors ‘on tap’ and she really, REALLY, really wanted us to get the mango. Sample tasted awful, we walked out. My girlfriend hopes it doesn’t give her the runs for her overseas trip tomorrow morning; she licked the sample…

The minute I walked in I was pounced on by two ladies that work there. I intended on getting an original flavor(sweet and tangy) with almonds and drk. chocolate if they had it. The younger one gets a sample cup and has me try the Sour Apple slushy… YUCK! I told her that I didn’t care for it but she still tried to push it on me. I then asked to try their original flavor and she used the same sample cup!!! It tasted ok and I got a cup worth and then put some almonds and milk chocolate on it. I paid for it and the older one grabbed two wafer cookies with her bare hands and stuck it in my yogurt. I was about to leave and she gave me a sample of some white, goo stuff that she almost poured on my yogurt. She said that it was very good… she promised that I would like it. I went to my car and tried it and it was gross. I took the two wafers out and threw them away. I started to try and enjoy my yogurt… but for some reason it tasted funny and turned my stomach. I ended up throwing it out. I went across the street(Starbucks Side) to an established yogurt location.(I will Unilocal it later) Not only was it better… it was bigger and cheaper! I told her my experience and she said that one of her regulars tried Yogurt City out and got sick. She is thinking they may not be changing out their milk often. Who knows… but I did see some unsanitary practices there.

Long story short, I think not for this one my friends: I’m definitely a fan, because this little old woman limps out of her little yogurt shop with a big grand opening sign outside. I was going into the Subway next door and she comes up to me and gently pulls me into her little shop. I felt bad and said ok i’ll go in and check it out no intentions to get anything… just went inside to see and she gave me some samples, my hubby and son come in and she gives them samples too… well no one was in there and I don’t know why because it was pretty damn tasty! I loved the mango and strawberry, hubby and baby had french vanilla and strawberry. It was tart but sweet, added some coconut flakes to it for my topping and I was in heaven! Ok, so the only thing is I think her machines are rigged to not stop pouring in those huge cups so she can get a nice amount of change hahaha, but it’s all good I was satisfied and she was nice so was worth every penny. She even gave us some free chocolate and strawberry wafers and some little coffee filled candies(I know that doesn’t really go with froyo but whatevs it was a nice gesture) I’ll definitely be going back soon, and on Sundays it’s buy 1 get 1 free every Sunday! So yes, the correct rating is Yay! I’m a fan :)
