Awesome hockey bar! We were traveling back to St. Louis but had to find somewhere to stop and watch the Blues game and this was the perfect spot. Great service, too!

Popped in for lunch today and they maybe had two other people in there. The wait staff were all very nice. We had the crispy chicken sandwich and the Cutter sandwich. Both were excellent. Great flavor on each. Had a side salad with one and the corn salsa on it was tasty and refreshing. Garlic fries with the other and those were just sinfully good. Highly recommend those but only if you really like garlic. We’ll remember this place for when we return next year.

I first visited Falstaff’s when I found out it had a Skee Ball alley in the side room. I know it’s a sports bar for college students and post-grads but I’m 65 years old and I felt comfortable there. The staff is very courteous and attentive. I’ve played Skee Ball for around 60 years and haven’t seen one as old as theirs in about 50 years and I love it. My 27 yr old son was with me and we were able to watch a hockey game by asking the staff to set the channel on the huge TV. It was a great place to meet up with his friends. The beer choices are very good and so is the food.

Just visited Falstaffs for the first time for a friend’s 21st birthday party. We had reserved the back room. The bar has a very comfortable feel. I love the fact that there is Skeeball in the back! They have a great variety of beers on tap. The parm fries are amazing. The staff is so incredibly friendly. Even though my friends were roudy and quite messy, the staff handled it wonderfully. I definitely recommend this place!

back for another blues hockey season! This place keeps getting better! The service is fantastic, I can’t remember the last time I actually enjoyed talking to a bartender/server(They do it all). Seriously, each staff member serves tables, pours drinks, and cooks. The way they work and communicate is sort of a lost art in my eyes. Anywho, was there for the super bowl and they were having awesome specials I had the burger and chips and two drafts of bud light total bill…$ 11.00…WHAT! I was also there Sat night, I’m too old to be mixing it up with the pub crawlers, I entered in a drawing for free blues tickets for the last regular season home game. The bartender told me that if I come in to watch any blues game between now and April 7th I can enter in the drawing every time and they will draw the winner on the 7th during second intermission. I plan on finishing out the season there, I really want to win! And, they do a drawing for a prize every blues game during second intermission, they girl sitting next to me won a T-shirt. Did I mention the game on April 7th is blues vs. blackhawks, she said they will have great specials that night and probably some promo girls handing out shots and swag. I can’t wait! If you are a true blues fan I will see you there!

Went in late night on a Sunday looking for food and Evan was overwhelmingly friendly! Fired the grill back up for us and gave us a mini beer tour of the local beer! Food was delicious and Evan was so friendly and nice! Would go back just to see him and his awesome hospitality!!!

Really great bar to go have a beer after class. Always try to catch the cardinals and blues games whenever I can. They always have great specials and the food is the best bar food in town.

No cover, free food for happy hour, free live music on the weekends, free covered parking, multiple drafts with happy hour discounts(love the Travelers grapefruit ale), and a digital juke box. This place just keeps getting better and better.

The food is just ok. The drinks are made well, but overpriced. The SERVICE I got was outstanding though. Our server had a LOT of tables, but never lost her cool and was by to check on us at all the right times. I was impressed. Every bit of the food tastes like frozen prefab stuff that’s been warmed up. I didn’t hate it, but I probably won’t go back… at least not to eat. Go to drink. That’s it.

Hockey bar without the NHL network?! Seriously sick of «sport’s bar’s» around here who want to act like they are but aren’t…

Falstaff Local has the unfortunate luck of being located in between Harbell’s and Hurt’s Donuts… Harbell’s with their big signs, lots of TVs and seating, and full menu… and Hurt’s Donuts with their cult following for good reason. We went with a friend who is a Falstaff’s fan for the simple fact that they have old school beer – I had never been there before, so I was game for giving them a shot. I felt stupid from the get-go. There are 3 doors that all look alike, and I didn’t know which one to open-there was a chalkboard sign propped up by one them so that’s the only way I knew. I imagined people sitting at the tables inside laughing at the dummy who couldn’t figure out how to get in. Lol. Maybe the secret, locals-only type feel is what they are going for, because you walk in and you get a college bar feel. Totally fitting. Skee-ball(which I didn’t play because I cheat and people get mad) and shuffleboard are available, which is cool. Both options were already taken when we got there, but it was fun to watch drunk people play. Thankfully the napkin holders tell you to order at the bar, because I would have sat forever waiting for a server. Falstaff has a ton of beer(including Leaky Roof – nice!) and a full bar. They don’t have much in the way of food, but if you’re in the mood for fried apps and burgers, it’s perfect. I didn’t order food, but I stole some of their homemade chips off my friends’ plate… and holy moly. I might be in love. They are delicious, and the aioli on her plate was fantastic. I am not sure if that comes with the chips or the burger she ordered… but I am definitely requesting it the next time I go. Yes, there will be a next time. The bathrooms are painted with chalkboard paint, and there is a basket of chalk on the counter. Other places in town that have chalkboard bathrooms never seem to have chalk so I can pretend to be a graffiti artist after I wash my hands. The only criticism I can think of was by my own choice – we sat at a table close to a speaker, and the music was VERY loud… loud enough where you couldn’t have a decent conversation. It is probably an appropriate volume when the place is busy, but they might want to adjust it when there aren’t many people.

Falstaffs could become your local Cheers! Not since Harlows has a place been this comfortable.

«Tastes like college.» This is Falstaff’s slogan on their tee shirts. Well, I remember my college times much more fondly and vividly than I will ever remember my lunch I had at Falstaff’s. Before I get into the«ehh, I’ve had better,» I will say that the place looks great on the inside. I know they spent a lot of time on the renovations, and it shows. It has a chill, pub feel with good use of tvs and a nice touch with the parlor games in there as well. The menu –with the exception of the focus on the Rueben – is pretty much basic bar food, which I have no issue with; but, if you’re going to stick with a small number of items, they should be outstanding. My burger was overcooked(asked for medium rare, came out medium well) and was bland(juicy but very little flavor). The chicken wasn’t bad, but I wish the menu had explained that«spicy» = «we’re going to drench it in hot sauce». The fries were decent, but the chips need seasoning; the jalapeño ranch served with the latter is really pretty good, and even though it may be a weird thing to serve with parmesan garlic fries – on paper – the combo was pretty great. And on another note, I know they’re relatively new, but if they’re going to be open for lunch, they need to be ready with both food and service. Service was super weird. They made us order at the bar and then brought menus to another table of people who came in for lunch. They didn’t give us silverware, and when I asked for ketchup, I was given one 1⁄3(at most) full bottle to use. Then, we asked for our ticket and were given it, and then the dude promptly walked away. As such, we promptly determined we had no desire to(a) wait for dude to come back, so we could give him our method of payment or(b) walk up to the bar and pay, so we left cash for the meal and tip on the table and peaced out. Renovations are great, and I hope with some more time and training, they can work out some of the kinks in consistent service. I could see this being a great place to go get a drink or two with friends, but I couldn’t really imagine wanting to come here solely for the food. The end.

The food is very good here. Parm fries, brats, poblano poppers. Burgers excellent. Owner operated. Super nice guy. Two huge tvs. Shuffleboard. Go! It’s awesome.

Randomly dropped by here when downtown for a friends going away party. Skee-Ball… what!!! It was awesome — and when I ordered a Templeton Rye on the rocks what I basically got was a full glass of whiskey! Hooray! The place was a little«bro» for my taste though — and super bright for midnight. Would totally get five stars with more comfortable seating conducive to chatting.

Stopped in for dinner and a drink and fell in love. The food is incredible for bar food. The chili relano bites are to die for. The burnt end salad got thumbs up from my wife and I had the burger. The garlic Parmesan fries are addicting as well. There is a good variety of beers on tap and the staff are very friendly. This is gonna be a new hangout for us.
