Tasty food, gluten free and vegetarian options, willing to customize the sandwiches, they even let us sample the soups so we could make an informed decision. A few of the soups we tried were bland but my favorites were the creamy mushroom and the chick pea curry. We’ll definitely be going back during our stay here in Squaw Valley!

Loved the green supreme on gluten free with provolone. I was impressed with their separate panini presses for vegetarians and omnivores. Not a fan of the tomato soup

Soup and sandwiches were very very good. Prices were reasonable for being at squaw compared to neighboring restaurants

I love Soupa!!! So good I come here every time I’m at Squaw. I absolutely love it! Home made soups, sandwiches, you can’t beat it. I love the combinations you can choose from.

Soupa rocks. Organic, high quality ingredients and excellent soups and sandwiches. Prices are super reasonable given that this is in the ski resort. Not hard to see why all the local skiers come here to eat lunch. It’s awesome! I wouldn’t eat lunch anywhere else in Squaw.

Staffed by ski bums who don’t give a shit — decided to close early rather than serve me

Open in Summer too much less busy or hardly anybody around. Tough to find since its tucked in a corner behind the Gelato & yogurt store. Good variety of Sandwiches including Vegan. We had the Veggie Sandwich which was just ok Soup was mildly warm not hot which surprised us since they were not too busy. Could have warmed the soup.

Natural sodas, grilled sandwiches, and soups. A bit pricey for lunch, but the sandwiches are good. Very friendly staff.

Many vegan options! Enjoyed the lentil soup, but they also have a coconut carrot curry soup and a tomato soup. I did not try the black bean quinoa pesto burger, but it can also be made vegan. WChef is very friendly and maintains a separate prep station for the veg dishes.

Great little place — their soups are hearty and delicious: exactly what I need after having some fun on the mountain. Wait can be a bit long during peak hour(lunch time) but totally worth it. Will definitely eat here again.

Service is slow here. Soup is meh here. But there’s not enough options so you will eat here one of the meals if you stay here more than 3 days.

Just finished skiing and stopped for red beans and sausage soup. Very good and so was the bread. Great soup every visit.

I was leaning on 3.5 stars… But it gets 3 because it really is just awesome but could do some improvements… Soup. Soup and Salad. Soup and Grilled Cheese. Pretty Simple. Pretty Delicious. It is exactly what it says it is. Basic Grilled Cheese options. and pretty Basic Soups. Some are bland some are very off in flavor. But that is what makes it unique. It is nice to have variety and options. Maybe find a nice recipe and try to stay as close to it as possible. It is disappointing when you go in for broccoli cheddar and it tastes funny. Maybe it was old? Good service usually and overall good food. They have good quinoa bowls.

The black mark in an otherwise fantastic Tahoe trip. After closely following travel instructions from the Fodors travel guide, friend recommendations and Unilocal,we decided to stop here for lunch and were spectacularly disappointed. The service was actually fine, a couple of teenagers just doing their job, but the quality of the food was the problem. Decent ingredients cooked using a reasonable recipe and then BUTCHERED by a horrific, cooking 101 error. The curry coconut soup had so much pepper in it that it was too spicey to eat. I did not know it was possible to screw up quinua but you apparently can by drenching it in oil. There was just so much oil. I wont forget that dish for weeks. It was a quick stop but after having so much great food in the Tahoe area, this was the lone, sad regret.

I couldn’t even take a picture of my food because I ate everything so fast. Everything was so good and flavorful. They let you sample each soup, and each was better than the next. This place isn’t expensive and very tasty. High recommend!

Decent healthy option when you are in Squaw Valley. Overall, I was hoping for something a bit more tasty. I often eat vegetarian food and this place could be better. However, if you are looking for a healthy vegetarian option, this is probably your only good choice in the area. Veggie bowl was decent, grilled cheese was average and typical, turkey melt was pretty good(great pesto).

Another reviewer asks, «How can you not give this place 5 stars???» Well that is very easy. We got one bowl of baked potato soup and one cup of corn chowder. Both were edible, but not very tasty at all. The baked potato soup was far too smooth(no chunks at all) and really should have been topped with some cheddar and sour cream. Somehow one bowl and one cup of soup came to just over $ 13. I didn’t expect that the prices would be reasonable, but that was just a bit too much.

Best organic /healthy food in the village. Love the food and beverages. I particularly like the quinoa dishes. So good! I found the service quite friendly. Yes, it can be slow but summertime at Squaw — who is in a hurry? Keep in mind this is a take-out place so grab a table outside and enjoy. Nothing else to add — read the other reviews.

It’s freezing cold and you need some soup and it’s right there. Was there this week and order a — Green(very green) salad — Corn chowda — Tuna melt A bit of wait but I feel they are given a better portion now compare with my last trip here in January 2011. ** Only wish the cup is bigger for the soup :)

This place gets four stars for being by far the most appealing place to eat in the village area at Squaw. I walked around every eatery at the bottom of the resort, and all of them were trying to sell me $ 13 pizzas, fancy sit down meals, or not-cheap-enough junk food. Thank goodness for Soupa. A cup of soup costs between $ 4 and $ 5, and a bowl costs between about $ 7 – 8. Better yet, there were a variety of combos available between the sandwiches, soups, and salads, and a great selection within each of those to choose from. There were 8 soups when I went, including meat, vegetarian, and vegan options. I ended up going for the **Green Goddess Salad** and a cup of soup — $ 10. The **Spicy Thai Curry soup** was tasty, with coconut, lots of veggies, and big chunks of tofu. The amount of food for $ 10 was much more reasonable than anywhere else nearby, and I actually had trouble finishing those two items plus the big peanut butter cookie I got. Mmmm, yum. It’s a cozy and quick place to grab a reasonably priced lunch, and you have the option to go healthy and actually have it taste good, which is a welcome alternative at Squaw. That said, if you’re craving something else, you can always get a grilled cheese. :) Thanks for lunch, Soupa!
