A lady from a souvenir shop suggested this place, saying the locals are fond of it and we were glad we went. It was a nice change from Chipotle and Hot Head Burrito. The burrito bowl is huge and so amazing! We ordered way too much. The man who took our order was very friendly and the food came out hot & at a reasonable time. I’m sad I won’t be able to go back anytime soon, but will definitely pop in again on our next vacation stay.

the UFO is good stuff, as many here have already said, so this review is just to help those of you Unilocal’ers thinking maybe you’ll just order some tacos from here instead: DONOTDOTHAT. the tacos are tiny, boring, and a total rip-off, so order those from Mojos up the street a couple of miles. at this joint, we have learned, it’s the UFO-which is pretty sweet-or nothing. …and now you know.

The UFO is Texmex nirvana. I got the Baja style with tempeh and my wife had the Mexican style with chicken. The UFO is a pocket of two soft tortillas filled with your choice of meat beans cheese slaw and salsa separated in layers by a crispy tortilla. The creation is then folded into a flying saucer shaped pocket covered with cheese and grilled. The Baja sauce is a deliciously spicey original white sauce. Burrito Works also offers homemade chips, queso, guacamole, and salsa. They also feature burritos as big as a rolled Sunday Times, tacos, a variety of ice cold beers and other Mexican goodies. But the UFO is the bomb. We just came back from our second visit in two weeks and I’m looking forward to our return.

I can only imagine that anyone giving Burrito Works a bad review did not order the UFO. I’m so sorry you made this unfortunate decision– go back and try again. In fact, I may just do that tomorrow. And again and again and again! Also, make sure you visit the bathroom if you’re at the A1A shop because it is really cool!

This place is truly a gem if you are looking for some excellent tex-mex by the beach. I have yet to find anything on the menu that isn’t amazing, though admittedly it is high calorie stuff. Their chips are very unique and the UFO or Kung Fu tacos are as good as it gets. It might not look like much, but this place is quickly becoming a must stop for me when I’m in town.

Been here 2 times this week and love it. If you’re looking for good food at not a high price this is the place to eat. Love the ufo with baja style and shrimp and my girlfriend loves the kung pow tacos. Only thing is it takes a little time to get the food. But kind of expected that with a big line. Ohhh and my kid is a vegetarian and they have good options for him. We will be back again before we leave

Food is average which would normally amount to three stars but poor service drops it to two stars. Many employees have a bad attitude. If I owned this place a few of these employees would be looking for new work. There are much better eating options in SA Beach.

They are terrible. They lie about what time they close, and then they make a fool of you when you try to walk in past 10:30. Not worth your time or money. Go else where in st. Augustine.

This little gem is a delicious couple of steps from the beach. We had their speciality UFO baja style with fish. It was a different take on a usual Mexican burrito. The baja seasoning is incredible but does have a spicy kick to it. And the crunchy cabbage compliments it beautifully. The service was decent. We didn’t wait long for our order and they were kind. I know it’s a whole in the wall(and I adore those kinds of establishments) but the outside area we ate had a foul smell from the trash and the hot sauces on the tables looked awful with bugs and grime over the tables and bottles. And over by the fountain drink station wasn’t any better with grime everywhere. They just need to wipe things down a little better. Overall, great price for an excellent portion. I recommend this place for sure!

The best taco /burrito stands I’ve ever been to. The UFO is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten… No joke. This will be a st augustine staple every time we come back! #getinmybelly

Good — plentiful eatery. Hits the spot for the after beach day munchies. Had the shrimp UFO and had a hard time finishing up.

This place is awesome!!! This place is great if your by the beach and want a pick me up or you love wearing shorts or a tank top or you just want an awesome meal. Let’s start off with the staff. They are super nice and really fun, it’s like a party in there very lively and energetic. The food was amazing the Mexican UFO is a must have, if you don’t get it you don’t know what your missing. We had it with shredded beef and the works and it was delicious and super filling packed with a lot of flavor. My wife had the chicken tacos Kung fu style with the works and they were awesome, it was a soft taco with a hard shell taco together packed with filling and holds really well. Awesome walk around food. The only down side to this place is that it’s small in there gets really crowded and not much place to seat and eat, but it’s still very worth it. This is a must place to grab some lunch with friends.

Fun, laid-back, atmosphere, great location near the beach, and the same quality in their Baja-style tacos(which is all I ever order here) as their Flagler Beach location. If you go during peak hours, it can take a while to get your order though – just bear this in mind. I was here on Independence Day and it took about an hour from being in line to order to finishing our dinner. However, you can order take-out by calling it in and coming to pick it up, too. Just don’t think because this place is so casual you’ll be in and out quickly as sometimes you just won’t. Also, I really, really, love spicy food but the chicken in my Baja tacos was nearly too spicy for me. That’s not a complaint, and I think most of the time they offer levels of how spicy you can get things but since this was a holiday and they were slammed, somehow it slipped through and I got like vindaloo-level spiciness. Still, it was very good. If you dislike hot food though I’d speak to them about it when you order and try to get something not so spicy.

It is hands down the best place to eat on the island. The locals all know it. Fresh local ingredients, good taste, made fast. The only down fall, is that once you leave the coast, there is no other place like it. ALWAYS get your taco Kong Fu style!

The UFO is awesome! Super unique and flavorful. The tacos are great as well — especially baja style. The shrimp were generously sized and perfectly cooked. The homemade chips were fantastic. Their white sauce is delicious but beware — it’s pretty dang spicy! Yum! My only beef is the price. SUPER overpriced.

My brother always raves about this place and it is the first thing he recommends to people who visit St. Augustine. After hearing about this place for almost a year, I finally went with high expectations. Mind. Blown. I ordered the Mexican UFO baja style(pictured) and it was absolutely delicious. It is like a burrito taco combination with ingredients that go perfectly together. The baja sauce was amazing. It was really great food. The way they put the UFO together is what makes it so good. I also tried their chips and queso and was surprised how good they were because they are not the typical chips you would get at other Mexican places. I understand why there is a constant line to this place. It is a great location right next to the beach and the workers are very nice. But the food by far is what I will be coming back for.

No frills taco’s and big filling burritos, Ice cold beer and tacos sitting out on a nice picnic table under a tree. the loaded nachos are very good tons of cilantro and crisp lettuce with real cheddar cheese over crispy nachos with sour cream and salsa. this is a great place to stop while cruising A1A only draw back I see is the parking lot is tiny and hard to get in and out of, but we managed.
