Unbelievably bad service. We eat at other Sonnys locations frequently, so our expectations were based on that We talked to the manager and walked out(without Eating) after 40 minutes of waiting for the food we ordered. The barbecue is slow smoked for hours, per the tv ads, so normally it is served very quickly after ordering since it’s already cooked! Tonight after 30 minutes we asked the server where the food was and she explained it was because my wife ordered baby back ribs, and they take longer. She almost always gets the same thing, so this did not sound true. The server said they are probably ready now and she would check. She did NOT come back with food or to give us an update. Instead 10 minutes later, after seeing folks leave that came in after us, got their food, and finished eating, we talked to the manager and left. While at least the manager apologized, we still were highly dissatisfied with the explanation. I still highly recommend every other Sonnys, but not this one.

Sonny’s salad bar served with smoked, melt in your mouth flavorful BBQ meat. Why just thinking about their unique, larruping good vittles, stimulates the saliva glands into action. Stand back while the flood of saliva begins. Friendly, personable waitress make it an experience to behold! Bang-Snap!

The host was not very nice and service was slow. Waitress wasnt rude but she was stale and not very inviting. Food was good. Just like any other Sonny’s. I just prefer that the staff be nicer to customers and treat them like customers and not a waste of their time.

Will avoid this place. Service was terrible, was seated then waited, when we placed our order waited another 40 mins. When food came it was cold. The server looked busy but nothing was being done. The server i over heard her saying sorry to another table with group people. Talk to the manager a woman said she was sorry. Could not explain why people that were just there 10 min got there food already. Also the place was dirty I felt queazy(hope i don’t become ill) in my stomach all afternoon. Our order was only the Big Deal lunch special. Trust me this is a big deal stay away. Was there around noon.

A friend and I stopped for lunch… not particularly slammed and not particularly great service. My buddy got the pulled pork on garlic toast which he heralded and a side of mac(which he said was just OK). He ordered beans as well after seeing mine — which never came. He wasn’t charged for them either. I got the ½ rack of baby backs with beans and broccoli. The ribs weren’t bad. They tasted fine, but weren’t fall off the bone good. I enjoyed the beans, and steamed broccoli is pretty tough to mess up. Garlic toast was money. I typically don’t go to BBQ joints for the bread and veggies though, and with the slow(and forgetful service) I’d probably head to one of the other many BBQ joints around. That being said, the pulled pork sandwich on garlic toast was strong. Depends what you want, I guess. Lastly, the bathroom wasn’t not clean… but the smell might knock you out…

Restaurant is dirty! Floors were wet going to the restrooms. Women’s restroom was horrible. The floors in the restaurant looked like they had not been washed in months. The booth seat was ripped and had a dirty toothpick laying on it. I should have walked out but, my husband had barque. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Our food came out very quickly. My chicken sandwich was over cooked and dry. My husband ordered a sampler platter with different meats. The chicken on the platter was good, the other meats were fatty and dry. After we left, my husband informed me the men’s restroom had vomit in the one stall. Really? I am sorry we stopped. Within an hour I got sick. This restaurant should be closed! Do yourself a favor and keep driving!

Lunch time . I had the salad bar with a side of beef brisket . Brisket cooked perfect, very little fat, just enough to give it some favor . Salad bar well stocked and clean . Cute waitress, all good.

Stopped for lunch. We were seated right away. My son and I ordered pulled pork sandwich. My son got his on a bun. I got mine on garlic bread. My wife got a burger. Both my son and I got a side of fried ocra, my wife got BBQ beans. Our food came quickly, and our drinks ahead of that. The ocra tasted kind of funky to me, but my son didn’t have an issue with his. I told our server about the ocra and she apologized and quickly brought be another choice of side dish. Since my wife said the beans are good, I got beans. The beans were definitely better. My wife said her burger was delicious and ate every bite. My pulled pork was extremely soft. It was the texture of pudding. My son said the same about his. Over all, the burger was the only good meal we had. I will say that our server was very friendly. Had we not wanted to get back on the road to continue our trip, I would have said something. I am sure our server would have taken care offer the problem. Also, my wife wanted baby back ribs, but our server advised against it, saying they were not looking good. That is why she got the burger. So, kudos to our server for the tip about the ribs.

5 billboards led us to the bleach smelling gem. Our dishes were old and dinged up. Prices were too high for the dried up «meats» we paid for. Bummed out that it was such a disappointment.

It was ok, fast service but commercialized, next to the Outlet mall. Pulled pork was good but a little fatty.

Brisket was tasty! Red beer was great and local. Service was quick. The place was busy with lots of locals. It was right off the highway and near shopping. Pork was better than brisket. Sauces were tangy.

Whitney my waitress was great as was others. However. …my slab of ribs was sick looking small… tasty, but the smallest rack of ribs I’ve ever saw… Whitney brought Manger over when I commented how small the slab of ribs was… I wasn’t looking for a free meal, I just wanted to let her know it really didn’t stack up as a rack of ribs, I was told the ribs come out by weight… sorry Sonny’s I won’t be back

This is the place to go if you want a tasty southern cooking BBQ restaurant with melting off the bone baby-back ribs and delicious corn bread! My partner and I ate the Ribs Sampler featuring baby-back ribs and the sweet n smokey ribs. We chose the two sides of green beans and Mac n cheese. The food was delicious! We drank root beer and pink lemonade. They were HUGE!!! 4 stars because even the food was 5 stars, the service was understaffed, and our server only visited us to take our orders and drop off food. All in all, $ 22($ 28 w/tip) for a shared full rack of ribs dinner and two huge drinks!

Really? How the hell does a BBQ place run out of ribs? Drive 15 miles because I was craving them. Asked if they would drop the baby back rib price to match the dry rubs and management said no! Wow! That’s not a way to keep a customer happy. It’s not my fault they ran out so why should I have to pay more for the baby back. Makes me wonder what ol man Sonny would of done. Even though I was unhappy and wanted to leave, family wouldn’t let me, the waitress was very good and prompt. Needless to say they probably lost a customer at this location, but that seems to not matter to management. Don venting and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Not a bad place to grab some BBQ. There wasn’t really anything about the place that blew me away… ok well maybe one thing. Their baked beans were pretty damn good. The rest of my meal was just so-so. The sauces were more toward the sweet side, there wasn’t a spicy sauce, which is really more like what I would’ve wanted. If your traveling down the interstate and you happen upon this place I wouldn’t turn your nose up at it, but it’s just gonna be a place to get some food and get back on the road.

Sonny’s is generally decent for franchise/cheap BBQ. Not the best you will ever eat but good sauces and decent BBQ. Usually enough to satisfy any BBQ craving. I’ve not eaten at a Sonny’s in over a year because I moved North away from these eateries. Anyway, I was excited to eat here while traveling south. I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries. NEARLYTENDOLLARS with tax. So I’m thinking man I can’t wait. So it arrives and barely even fills out the bread and this is supposed to be the HUGE deal!!! I’ve posted a pic. Looks like a sloppy joe from the school cafeteria! UGH! It tasted ok, but not TEN dollars ok and certainly not enough meat! Hopefully it was just THIS establishment trying to save a buck(they had a sign saying they were suffering from food costs) because if this is the new Sonny policy, Sonnies will start closing as the economy continues to crap along further into the crapper..
