Went in here for the first time today. It’s a tiny little coffee shop with a couple tables to sit at. I got a diesel Aussie iced coffee, they made it really quickly and it tasted good. I guess you get a discount if you go to Flagler college or work down here, I don’t unfortunately boo. I loved how they had local coffee from bold bean in Jacksonville.

Well this place is really small even by St Augustine’s standards. I mean if there is 5 – 6 seats that is a a lot. They carry coffee and some small Aussie pie’s. Now that’s what I came in for to tell the truth. The coffee is kind of local because it’s bold bean that is roasted back in Jax right next to out Murray Hill restaurant. I prefer another locally roasted coffee you know the place. It’s huge place right on the river in downtown Jax. But, the pie. They had 3 different egg based pie this morning. All egg, bacon, and a aged cheddar. 2 with a crust and the one without. That’s the one I went for. I will say that this was quite good. A nice almost custard or at least heavily whipped eggs and a few good size hunks of bacon and the cheese is all mixed thought out the pie. The pie was very tasty and I’m really glad I got to eat here. The owner was very nice and I don’t care what they say I just love their accent. This is a cool place and I might have to stop in again in the afternoon for their more savory pies. Hey a fat has to eat.

If ever I find myself for a day trip in St. Augustine, this place is a must. Their coffee is literally the best I’ve had, perfectly balanced. I am a creature of habit and love their vanilla lattes(I believe they’re called the Aussie?)… It’s a tiny little place with so much to offer!

LOVE this place! The staff is friendly and the coffee and food are fantastic. I had the Honey Badger — it was the perfect blend of sweet and cinnamon. My husband’s Mocha Nut was also very tasty. The blends of flavors are very well executed. We also had a pumpkin butterscotch muffin that was out of this world. On a different day I also had 2 brekkie pies that were bursting with flavor. You can’t go wrong with a coffee or breakfast order here!

The drink names are awesome with ‘the hot aussie’ or ‘the honey dadger’(which by recommendation I enjoyed emmemsely), but it’s a little small with limited seating.

OH. MY. GOSH. As a vegan, I am used to a small selection of coffee and usually falling back on my Starbucks latte because it is good and its trusted for me. I read a review by Jax Vegan saying that they had THEBEST Pumpkin Spice coffee in St. Augustine hands down. Now I am a picky picky person and PSL used to be my FAVORITE coffee before I became vegan. Needless to say, I haven’t found one I have liked since. My hubby was going on about how I should just give a «different» coffee a chance and so I used my trusty iPhone to look up local coffee near our B&B. This came up as 600ft away. So I viewed the menu and decided I would love to give the Princess Cristan a try. It lists it as «a fancy caramel latte for our fancy royal customers.» Since I am pretty fancy I decided that would be my choice if the caramel was vegan(as Starbucks caramel isn’t, and it is pretty hard to find a caramel latte that is.) A few short minutes later my husband arrived with a 16 oz cup with a cute Kookaburra wrap, and it smelled delightful. Now I will preface further by saying I am not only a Starbucks snob(if they made a Platinum card for # of purchases I would have it, as the gold card doesn’t suffice for me) but I am also a vegan milk snob and usually don’t like ANY sweetened vegan milks. I only use Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk or the 365 Brand(Whole Foods) Unsweetened Almond Milk as my drinks. I hate, and when I say hate, I returned the coffee to Starbucks for tasting disgusting when I tried the«new» coconut milk they introduced at some point in 2015. I told my hubby NOT to get me coffee if they used sweetened milks. He told me that the milk was sweetened, but ALL the vegan milks were so just to taste it and if I hated it obviously I could go to Starbucks. SO I took a sip. And I said HOLYCRAP, and took another. And I decided that Kookaburra coffee is my favorite!!! This coffee was just sweet enough to be a nice treat, but creamy and rich and delicious! I absolutely love it. LOVEITLOVEITLOVEIT. And I will be going back today(as I usually get a 20 oz coffee, so I clearly need a second one!) and trying the Mocha Nut(described as «smooth chocolate and creamy coconut bliss» YESPLEASE!!!) I also read that if you call ahead(I read via Jax Vegan) that you can get a vegan pie, full of coconut curry and veggies! How awesome for a quaint small town to have such a great place and DELICIOUS offerings. It is NOT settling for this coffee, this is a treat that I will MISS when I go back to St. Petersburg. So think of opening one in the St. Pete/Tampa area PLEASE!!!

I’m not a big coffee drinker but I tried the Honey Badger Don’t Care and it was delicious! A mix of vanilla, honey, cinnamon and espresso — YUM! The coffee shop is small and charming and in a great location, perfect to stop in and grab a beverage and keep strolling the streets of St. Augustine! I would certainly visit again!

Tiny coffee shop on Cathedral street, but incredible coffee. Friendly staff elevates the experience. Not a lot of seating, but the adjacent park right outside the front door makes up for it.

The location is very small, but it is the perfect spot to grab a coffee and roam around St. Augustine. The staff is very helpful in explaining their menu and adjusting the coffee to your preferences(i.e. hot/cold or sweet/less sweet). I tried a hot Aussie coffee. It was VERY good. If you look cream in your coffee, this is perfect option! I can not wait to return and try a meat pie! :)

Wonderful coffee, terrific waitstaff in a small shop with a positive vibe. We were perusing the offerings and trying to figure out what we wanted when the barista chimed in and asked us a few questions to help us decide. Her suggestions were spot on, and her demeanor was upbeat and friendly. As was everyone’s we encountered. The coffee was absolutely delicious, possibly the best we’ve had — and we drink a lot of coffee! :) The flavor blended beautifully and accented rather then obscure the coffee flavor. Total win.

Tried one of their delicious meat pies and the honey badger while my husband got a chocolate chip scone and a double shot of expresso. The honey badger was beautifully made and delectable! I even poured a little bit of whiskey in it for our walk to the Fountain of Youth and it tasted good spiked too! lol. The meat pie was perfect for breakfast. It had fluffy eggs, cheese and ham. The crust was nice and moist. It was also big enough for us to share since we also had a scone to eat too. Although I didn’t try the scone, my husband said it was good, but dry, but I think scones are normally kind of dry on the outside anyways. I think it was his first time having one and he was expecting it to be more moist like a cupcake or muffin. In any case, I found the place to be cute and in a great location. The girls behind the counter were friendly and made us feel welcomed. I would come back again and see what kind of meat pies they offer around lunch time. I’m sure they would be delicious too.

One of the BEST coffee shops I have ever been to. It was on the tiny side inside but it was great. All the baristas were helpful, kind and willing to help make suggestions. I had the Honey Badger Don’t Care and it was so good. Vanilla, honey, cinnamon and espresso, it made for the perfect afternoon pick-me-up! We also tried the chai tea and it was equally as good. Try it out!

Ok. Five stars for a hole-in-the-wall coffeeshop the size of a living room? Yep. The Kookaburra houses Jacksonville’s own Bold Bean Roasters. These guys are legends in the Florida coffee scene and the experience is elevated here at the Australian inspired shop. An «Aussie Iced Coffee» consists of vanilla flavoring and cream. If you know me at all, you’re well aware I stick with black coffee. When traveling, I tend to expand my horizons. I’m really glad I did. Expertly crafted and perfectly sweet beverage for a hot Florida day. The assumed owner(going by the accent) is the star of the show. She’s bright, friendly and knows what the hell she’s doing. The remainder of the staff follow her lead. They offered us suggestions on where to dine for dinner. Next time I’m back, and I will be back, I’m going to tackle one of those divine looking Aussie Pies. As far as coffeeshops go, the Kookaburra ranks in a class of its own.

Adorable. Love this little coffee shop and café with an Australian themed menu and great coffee. The service is unpretentious and friendly. They use locally roasted Bold Bean coffee beans from Jacksonville, FL and have a few tables/seats inside to enjoy your goodies. No bathrooms, but truly a wonderful atmosphere. Love this place!

The coffee here tasted the same as any other I’ve had. Maybe I don’t know enough about coffee to differentiate??? It was good and sweet, but just not something unique. On the other hand, their Aussie pie was yum! We went for the veggie one, and I was actually a bit skeptical that I’d like it. Omg, I was wrong. I loved it! If this wasn’t supposed to be just a snack, I would’ve ordered another one. It’s just a savory goodness that I can’t explain. You just have to try.

Awesome awesome awesome! I have been here for Hot Chocolate, Coffee and Lattes. All have been fantastic. I am a huge coffee fan and really enjoy to taste of coffee unlike some people I know who enjoy splash of coffee with their cream and sugar. Conveniently located on one of the main streets of Saint Augustine, close to the Bridge of Lions and at a central location if your going to be walking on St George Street or looking at Christmas Lights(if your here in the month of December) One thing that sets Kookaburra apart from other Coffee spots, cafes, etc. Is that they have a Hot Chocolate Bar full of delicious toppings, including marshmallows, M&Ms, whipped cream and sprinkles(just to name a few) I think this is such a clever idea and great for the little ones! The most recent time I visited I had the Caramel Latte and my compadre had the Salted Caramel Latte. They were both perfect, sweet Caramel blended with milk and wonderful roast of coffee. I was pleasantly satisfied with both flavors. Absolutely yummy! The staff are such a PLEASURE to be around! They are warm and welcoming, very personable and you are treated as if you’re the only customer in the establishment. As others have mentioned, take advantage of the rewards card which they have in front of the computer where you check out. With each purchase you make your card is stamped and after 7 drinks your 8th drink is FREE. Their software also gives you the option to have your receipt emailed to you as well as a print out.

What’s more romantic than seeing St. Augustine bedecked with twinkling white lights in the month of December? The answer: enjoying the«Night of Lights» while drinking a velvety smooth cup of hot chocolate! The Kookaburra had intrigued me since I read an article on «Simply St. Augustine» about their top-your-own-hot-chocolate-bar( ) Their location is ultra convenient too! It’s right beside the massive bank and across from the park and the Public Market Place. The staff was all smiles and very helpful as we placed our order and we were delighted to see they use Bold Bean Coffee too! My husband was impressed with his Café Con Leche and I was in heaven sipping on my hot chocolate as I walked in the white light wonderland in the winter night! ***sigh***
