We’ve been to Kobe several times, and normally we love it! However, since 2011 the quality has been going way down hill. The bathrooms were disgusting, the grill was not cleaned before our Chef started cooking, The vegetables were extremely under-cooked, and the service from our waitress was non existent. Afterwards, everyone in our party had mild food poisoning. I am never eating here again.

We were looking for steak in a world of seafood. No one was at the reception desk and people were waiting and looking tired. Bad sign! We waited almost 30 minutes and had to track someone down to let them know we were there. When we saw the third person come out to reception to either have their drinks refilled or find their server so they could pay, we gave up and went somewhere else. Probably would not go back. Obviously they do not adequately staff and lack of concern was evident.

Went last night with 2 co-workers. They had hibachi, I had sushi. I figure you can tell a lot from a place from their california roll. Circular logic I agree but hey it works for me! The hibachi portions were big and my sushi was good. No complaints!

I went to this place specifically for sushi. Originally i was not too impressed until i found out my sushi was half off. I guess sushi is half off during the fall and winter months. I had three rolls and a 12 oz Sapporo for $ 13.23. As for the taste of the sushi it was good. I though it was fresh and cant say anything negative about the taste. I wish the size of the rolls were bigger and wish the rounds came in eight rather than six. At full price i definitely would not return. Half price is a good deal and next time ill make sure i purchase more. I didn’t have any teppanyaki portions but it looked good. Its similar to Benihana( ) if you have ever eaten there. The cooks do all sorts of little tricks. Clinging and clanging of knifes, spinning eggs and tossing food around that sort of thing. I enjoyed trying to catch pieces of shrimps that the cook tried to fling into my mouth. I will say i think Benihana is a rip off and if this place was in my home town i would bypass Benihana and eat here. Overall i’m going to try and go back to get some more half priced sushi and maybe try the teppanyaki next time.

Kobe Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar is located in the Winn Dixie Retreat Shopping Center across from the airport. Kobe has a wide variety of sushi and appetizers. Kobe has different TEPPANYAKI Teppan(Table) Yaki(Cooking) which a meals cooked at your table. This is very entertaining but not my personal best way to enjoy a meal. They will cook steak, chicken, seafood and vegetable at your table for you. The food here is ok but nothing to write home about. We dine here every now and then just for a change.
