The only complaint anyone could have it that it is a little pricey compared to other Staten Island restaurants. Food is fabulous. Service attentive. 5 stars.

So, another 5 star review. After reading the reviews(negative and positive) I will write my review. The food is amazing! Fresh, flavorful and very filling. Yes, it’s Manhattan prices, Manhattan style restaurant and your portions are consistent with the prices. The restaurant was packed at 6pm on a Saturday night but we waited 2 minutes and our table was ready. We had a 6pm reservation and we got there at 552pm. It took our waiter 5 minutes in total to take our drink order and get us our drinks. Another 10 minutes till he took our order which was fine because we were talking while looking at the menu. To the negative reviews here about long intervals going by between the wait staff checking on you, yeah, it’s true. But my water glass was always full. And I hate it when someone comes by every 5 minutes: «everything ok?» «The food good?» «Enjoying everything??» To me, the staff knows the food is good so they leave you alone to enjoy it. It was also PACKED and they were running around. Our waiter Mike was very friendly and kept us happy. For appetizers we had the stuffed eggplant and carpaccio. The white truffle oil gave the carpaccio a very unique flavor. For entrees, my wife had the Monk Fish and I had the Chicken Parm. The fish was moist, big and full of flavor. My chicken parm was perfect! Moist, cheesy and not swimming in sauce. The pasta that came with it was perfectly al dente. We also had two sides: the deep fried zucchini and the rice balls(we thought we were hungry). The fried zucchini was a breaded zucchini strings(I thought it would have been zucchini sticks) and was really different and delicious. The rice balls had the right amount of cheese and rice, not dry but not mushy. They seem to cook the rice balls in the white truffle oil which gave them a different flavor. My wife wasn’t crazy about them, but I thought they were good. All in all it was a fantastic evening. We were there for an hour and a half. The positive reviews were right on and the negative reviews about the wait staff not paying attention or coming over enough were obviously written by self centered children that need approval for everything they do in their daily lives. I say go out and enjoy a great meal and an even better lunch the next day with your leftovers. Remember: make a reservation!!! Oh yeah, the valet guys are kind of slow getting your car out but the parking lot was not made to handle the amount of cars that come here. Give them a break cause they are doing the best that they can. Enjoy.

Been there a few times and the food was excellent each time, the restaurant inside was very nicely done. The wait staff each time was attentive. The only drawback is the parking it’s really a small parking lot. But once inside its worth it

Great portions great food excellent value. Came from northern New Jersey bc I heard this place was awesome and it was worth the drive. Great vibe inside and awesome décor and layout. Plus I got to sit near a true Italian guy who spoke with his hands the entire conversation with his friends. He even took a phone call and spoke with his hands over the phone lol. But anyway good food will come again. Fagettaboutiiittt

This place is inconsistent. Sometimes it can be very good sometimes not so good. One thing I don’t like is they only offer the short rib dish on Thursday and Saturday the veal shank those are two of their best dishes and sometimes just can’t get there those days so don’t come. I had the veal chop special sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s just overcooked and dry. I had the eggplant rollentini there it was ok but burnt on top. The stuffed rigatoni with filet mignon tips is excellent. I had ordered seafood here sometimes excellent, sometimes it’s not last time I went I had the monkfish topped with crab meat and the crab meat they used wasn’t good not high quality. I had a seafood special appetizer before very fresh and delicious. Octopus appetizer has always been very good each time I ordered. As I said its hit or miss at this place it can be very good sometimes not so good. They don’t in house make their desserts here, but they use an excellent bakery those are always good! Red velvet cake and carrot cake being my favorites. I would come again, but it’s not my top choice due to inconsistency.

I have been going to Bocelli’s for years and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed at all. This restaurant is without a doubt my favorite. Last week we were there with my husband’s cousins and they were equally thrilled. From their halibut to their pasta’s everything is fresh and delicious. Their staff has ALWAYS been consistently kind and courteous, especially Paolo and Sammy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant and frequent it often.

My friends and I went to Bocelli’s this past Friday evening. We made reservations for 730PM. The restaurant was not too crowded and we were looking forward to a great experience there after hearing the food was amazing. When we sat at our table, we were looking through the menu and the waiter came up and asked if we wanted to order drinks. My friends and I are not big drinkers, so we all ordered soft drinks. One friend did order a glass of wine. The waiter seemed annoyed at something from the gecko and set the mood for the evening. The soft drinks came but not the wine. We all ordered an appetizer and an entrée. While ordering we were asking the waiter specific question and we all had the feeling he could not be bothered. One question was the sauce that is used on the veal parmesan, is it smooth or is it thick and chunky(big pieces of tomato). His reply was«I have no idea». We all laughed a little bit and I rephrased the question and he answered it properly. Our appetizers came and I have to say the food was very good, the waiter never passed by to see if everything was Ok. Our entrees followed about 30 minutes later and again the food was awesome. And again we never saw the waiter, we reordered our soft drinks through other people. Also, my friends wine never came. He did make an appearance after dinner to see if we wanted dessert and or coffee. The table order one dessert and I had a coffee. He never came back to see us to see how the food came out or how it tasted. The check came soon after and we were all fortunate enough to get a Gift Card for Bocelli’s for the holidays. One couple had four $ 50 cards and we have two $ 50 card totaling $ 300. The fine print on the card does not say you cannot use the card as part of the gratuity. We decided that the the bill was $ 250 and we will give the wait the last card as a tip. Believe me, If we didn’t have the gift card, the tip would have been lower. The waiter took the gift cards and when we’re leaving she stopped us at the door and said very nasty, «you cannot use a gift card fro gratuity» we told him, to look at the fine print to see where it says that(which he did). The manager also came by and said it is not their policy and again we asked him to find that note in the fine print. He was also annoyed but said you are right and this time I will let it go. It was quite embarrassing and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I would have given Bocelli and 4 – 5 star rating on food alone, but with the horrible service from the waiter and this bad experience, I had to give it a 2. Lesson Learned: read you gift cards before you go to the restaurant, there were not discount coupon, they were cash gift cards. Also, we never received the wine(and never charged for it).

My husband and I chose Bocelli for our 1 year Anniversary Dinner today. The food was fantastic I highly recommend the pappardelle in cream champagne sauce with shrimp, lobster tail and scallops! My husband had the Veal Parm which was also very good. For dessert I had the almond tiramisu and he had the chocolate and vanilla mousse cake. The waiter(Sherif) was not personable or friendly at all. He was hard to flag down for refills or even the check. Thankfully other waiters were around to help us. I hope they pool their tips because he didn’t deserve the entire thing for himself. Also, parking is horrific but the valet takes care of that problem for you. Overall experience is a 4 out of 5. I will return!

There’s probably no need to write ANOTHER5-star review about Bocelli’s, but here it goes. Whether it’s catering or dine-in, literally everything I’ve eaten here was delicious. We catered a party at my home from here and we opted to pick it up ourselves and saved us the ridiculous delivery fee. Everything came piping hot and freshly prepared. We ordered many trays, including chicken parmigiana, penne vodka, broccoli rabe, among others. The dining room is beautiful, but the parking lot is terrible — my only complaint about the restaurant.

I am amazed that I am coming across such great reviews. I have had good experiences at Bocelli for parties. Nice ambience and décor and the deserts were good hence the 2 stars. That being said, I expected to have an even better experience when dining there with 8 family members on a Friday night. We ordered the salad special with fig and peaches. Came with beets not even figs, was overdressed and bland. So was the actual fig special wrapped in prosciutto. They were bitter and just ill prepared. Hot antipasto? Eh. Just ok. Beef carpaccio? Forgettable. Stuffed oyster special? Underwhelmed. As a non fish eater I expected the salad to be great but instead I had to eat two pieces of bread and some focaccia to keep me satisfied until dinner. I asked the waiter to add the spaghettini course in between appetizers and main course. Well that never happened. Totally forgot –never acknowledged it and so we never got the pasta«wheel» which is a claim to fame here. I was hoping the pasta course would fill us up since appetizers were so dismal. We never mentioned it because we were too busy imagining how this place got 5 star reviews when out entrees arrived. 8 people –3 veal dishes all greasy and bland. 2 pork chop with hot pepper dishes both just okay. And they were the best of the night. One halibut special that not only looked awful but was overcooked and not edible. A seafood risotto and ravioli special that were both said to be average. We said something about the halibut and it was removed from the bill, however I had to split half my dinner with my sister in law or she would have had no entrée. In all honesty the waiter seemed annoyed about the complaint but in fact 5 out of the 8 dishes had legitimate gripes so much so we SHOULD Have sent them ALL back. When carrots are from the frozen food section at Shop Rite and not even cut fresh you don’t deserve to be a BEST restaurant contender. Da Noi, Trattoria Romana and Angelina’s all blow this place out of the water– soup to nuts. I am wary of how this place received such a prestigious award for Best Italian On the Island in years past. We are active diners and will not be returning after such a disappointing meal.

Best Italian restaurant on Staten Island among other fine choices. Food always fresh, wait staff attentive. It can get loud when packed at dinner time on Fridays and Saturdays.

A great wine selection paired with a beautiful interior is a great start to the restaurant experience. It is followed with attentive staff and delightful food. They have a garden salad with a zesty dressing, as well as fresh bread, and an appetizer platter of stuffed bell peppers, mushroom, and jumbo shrimp. Then comes the main course, which was a three seafood platter. Again with the jumbo shrimp, sol, and scallop. All are cooked to perfection. To finish, a smooth coffee with a delectably soft slice of chocolate and vanilla cake. If you’re celebrating an anniversary of birthday, the private room here should be high on your list.

Food is always fantastic here, but the service is always slow. Not a big deal, until last night. It’s one thing to be slow, it’s another thing to be ignored. The restaurant was not crowded when we initially arrived at 6 pm. Buy 7 it was filled . Last night the service was simply terrible . I ate here with my elderly parents and my daughters. So I’m obviously not looking for a marathon dinner . The waiter was beyond uninterested. Disappearing for long stretches . We were seated immediately at 600. 615 we placed our drink order, apps and then main courses . Drinks were delivered promptly, but our apps arrived at 7 . A cool 45 minutes after ordering them. Not good . Our main dishes arrived at, wait for it … 805 . 2 hours after we arrived and an hour and forty five minutes after placing our order. Not once did our waiter stop by to explain the delay. I had to actually get up from our table and search for him. Not acceptable. I asked our waiter what was the delay with our food, only to be told it’s coming. He seemed annoyed as well, as if I was bothering him . He never returned to ask us if we wanted more drinks(we did) as we waited and waited for our food. Obviously you can’t order more drinks if your waiter is nowhere to be found . He only returned a good 20 min after we finished our meal. Around 840 ! We initially wanted desert and cappuccino. No thanks . Not worth it at that point, we just wanted to leave as my parents were exhausted . We finally paid and left by 855 . Almost 3 hrs after arriving. I asked for the manager while we were leaving, only to be told«not here» . The food was very good, but the whole evening was spoiled by this disaster of a waiter . I’m sure the owner would be displeased, knowing we would have easily spent another $ 75 + with a more attentive waiter . Will not b returning. Extremely disappointed. Unfortunate, as we always loved this spot.

One of the more traditional Italian restaurants in SI is made a great option by a warmth of service that most other restaurants don’t provide. While the restaurant is pricey and the parking lot is frustratingly tight, the experience on the whole is good. Above average Italian food that is quite good, and although I may be in the minority I feel that portions(meat serving anyway) could be a bit larger. The food won’t amaze, but it is very good. The best dish I’ve had is the pappardelle with fish in a champagne sauce, and the menu itself has few disappointing choices. Dessert selection is perfectly fine, and comparatively light in relation to the desserts at some other SI staples. Nice, simple, cheesecakes, cakes, and pies. Sincere service is what makes Bocelli stand out most; if you’re looking for Italian hospitality, come here.

Great food. Great ambiance and décor. Excellent service. Agree parking could be a challenge but try checking the parking on the rear of the building, that is if you can fit your vehicle between the side of building and the wall, there are about 15 spots on the back of the building.
