They’ve got both classic and unique desserts for a decent price! Great spot for a sweet tooth fix for sure. I’ve never sat to eat in the place because it always seems busy around the clock but thats a good thing for the business I guess :)

Ok so this place has always been a 5-​star place for me up until today. 5 years ago, it was incredible, from the service to the food, it was great. However, I just stepped out today, still sitting in the parking lot actually, FUMING. I did not have any of the food or anything, so I know giving such a bad review isn’t entirely fair but the managers need to see this. I will change it back next time I have an experience as great as I used to have. I walk in and there’s a young lady behind the counter by the door, and three more along the rest of the counter. I walk in and say hello thinking that she will take my order for the box of pastries I wanted. I live in Brooklyn so don’t get many chances to come here anymore and was really looking forward to it :(
Anyway, no order and the other girls are talking about how «like omg I didn’t have my phone for like 24 hours!» Just picture Elle woods saying that. After waiting several minutes with a smile on my face, I ask the woman behind the counter if she will take my order. Miss «too good to take a pastry order» says no, one of the counter girls will, you have to wait on line.” Hmmmm. wouldn’t you think to tell me that as the people who entered after me walked down already? No of course now, let’s give zero **cks about it. So I waited a bit longer but nope, the girls behind the counter take their sweet time doing what shouldn’t take more than several minutes. Honestly I got so annoyed that I turned around and left.
Yes their food is great and pastries delicious, but it’s okay, I’ll live. They’re not the best out there and with that service, I’ll survive without the attitudes.
Please hire better staff.

Now I have been coming here since i was 4, and i enjoy the food every time. as someone else said Royal Crown is the «Gold Standard» for Italian Hero’s, but that is wrong, and let me tell you why, because only Hero’s are mentioned, they have everything! Ive had amazing omelets with fresh cut vegetables and it shows by case, I’ve been having Wraps with grilled chicken, mozzarella, lettuce and tomato about once every week or so for lunch, and I’ve had pasta with Vodka Sauce that just doesn’t quit. If your looking to eat good, trust me this is the place, and in addition they have desserts. Cookies, cakes everything just name it. Trust me, this place is amazing

A Royal-​Mess!
Been coming to this place for years, and always found it often too crowded due to the small space. The patrons are squeezed into little tables where they are nearly rubbing shoulders with one another. I always find it a sign of greed when there are so many tables placed in such a tight space, inconsiderate of it’s patrons. But anyway, this is not the problem for me as I don’t sit there, just come in order and leave.
Today was last straw for me. Came in, stood by the desert window waiting for someone to come by, and saw some guy come in and move past me directly to the register, the girls served him first although he came in after me, no one bothered to come ask if I wanted anything. I let it slide, but came up to the register, thinking someone would notice this time, stood there for 5 more minutes and noticed more people BEHIND me now being served sweets, but were there AFTER me. When I told the girl I was here before that second guy she started serving, the guy exclaimed that he’s the manager and apologized and told me he thought I was being taken care of. What? You are the manager and you can’t even tell I’m not being served when I’ve been standing in line in front of you the whole time? And he has the audacity to tell me it’s not a problem. IT IS ABSOLUTELY A PROBLEM, you are incompetent at managing as you could not even see the situation clearly with barely anyone online! Being the manager, you could have easily told your employee to take care of me first once you found out I was waiting. But you didn’t.
I’m done with this place, and will boycott it with my friends and family. They have gotten too big to care about their customers, have extremely poor management of the order process/​waiting line, and hire incompetent managers who don’t know a thing about proper customer service etiquette or managing their employees.
I have better things to do and spend my money on than stuff myself with highly processed sugars, trans fats, artificial colorings, flavours and God knows what else may be in these things. Will not be going to this Royal Mess again!

Best balsamic vinegar EVER! My favorite thing to order here is the salami and moz wrap with balsamic vinegar on the side. They also have amazing desserts, amazing heros (chicken parm)!!!, cheeseburgers are also good and def try the cappuccino. The only thing that sucks about here is the parking, the wait time, and that its always packed. I love to order out most of the time so i dont have to wait. Also during the summer the ice tea lemonade drink is delicious!!!

Food is great and fresh, I do have to give 3 stars because the service is really slow, yes they are busy and maybe that is the reason for slower service, hopefully that will change soon so I can enjoy the food !

Their customer service is worst every time, the food still good but the customer service is getting to a point that nothing can compensates for it.

Macaroni salad is delicious. Ordered the grid chicken cutlet hero with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It is very big and can be split in two or even three. It was also very fresh and delicious. The macaroni salad is also good. I have ordered and ate the food at home. I have also went and ate inside the restaurant and have enjoyed it each time. There is outdoor seating and it is spacious inside of the restaurant as well. You can order breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert.

Location in bay ridge, but while on Staten Island this is the only place worth coming to. The salad is huge, they give great amounts of chicken and the dressing is great. I was satisfied for the whole day. Highly recommend it

If your into horrible service and tasteless food then this is the place for you. Went last night and what a horrible experience it turned out to be.
We placed an order for for a pizza and some food and it was just disappointing on every level. This may be the worst pizza on Staten Island. The food was just as tasteless. The service was an absolute disaster. It seemed like nobody knew what was going on and I believe one of the delivery guys took our pizza and that set us back at least another 25 minutes waiting for our order.
I started to complain at about the 45 minute mark but the girls in the front just regarded me as a bother and pretty much laughed behind my back after I asked to speak to the person in charge. I never like to complain in any restaurant because I know these are low wage workers but this place was a Disaster!!!
I could almost say it wouldn’t have been as bad if the food was any good but it wasn’t. I threw out 85% of the pizza. We got Chx parms and an eggplant hero. The hero was disgusting! The Chicken was as dry as shoe leather and Bland. The pasta was under sauced and tasteless as well. DRY!!! I had a side of cauliflower that was just overwhelmed with the taste of garlic. Sort of made me a little nauseous after I ate it. Not one morsel of food had a speck of seasoning on it at all.
How can this place be that busy? Are the people of Staten Island that clueless when it comes to food? I can understand the service being that horrible. There didn’t seem to be anyone in charge and the result was utter confusion. But who’s checking the food coming out if the kitchen?
We paid $ 91 dollars for 2 chx parms, a pizza, an eggplant hero and a side of cauliflower. It was $ 40 dollars for the last 3 items. That means the chx plates were about 22 dollars apiece!!! They were large plates of food. Large plates of TASTELESS food! we have thrown out most of all of it. Even though I think the price was very high for what we bought I wouldn’t have minded if the food was delicious. How about even just good!
I’ve never hit the lotto. I work very hard for every penny I have. I also take pride in doing a professional job. I don’t have a hundred bucks to just throw away. I’d rather donate my money to charity. I doubt I will ever frequent this place again as long as I live.

Not the first time here. Each time I come for the food, can’t wait to leave because of service and atmosphere.
If you don’t mind someone’s ass in your face while you eat, then go there.
If you’re in a hurry, forget it.
Order a sandwich to go, you’re better off.

Eggplant with any Italian cold cut …the bread is number 1 in the area.
Think about what I just said… the best bread in Staten Island, an area with as many authentic Italians west of Naples (Italy, not Florida (which is East anyway)).
The ladies at the takeout are GREAT! Great service, a must try in the City of NEW YORK!!!
P. S. Excellent Pastries although Villabate/​Alba in Brooklyn (across the VZ) is a bit better.

This bakery is walk able from where I live where I can grab pastries and coffee. And they deliver (yoohoo!) where is best because I’m a stay at home mom where it’s convenient for me. Their pastries is pretty decent priced. I ordered for my son’s birthday a cheese cake for $ 15 cut into perfectly 8 slices. Their iced cappuccino float is a MUST try! It’s seasonal (summer time) it’s really delicious! Their salads is alright, I didn’t like the fact that it was packed into a container i can find at a deli, they go by pounds and it just didn’t look appealing. I tried their sandwiches, I had it delivered so I didn’t like that it was dry and hard but I will give it another try if I ate it there where it’s much fresher.

Ordered 2 bagels and some cookies to take home. First of all, service was horrible. It’s completely fine that they’re busy on a Saturday afternoon but I was standing there trying to order while the other customers were quickly approached/​acknowledged. The girl who took our order was very not attentive and friendly. It was clear that she didn’t wanna take our order and gave us a lot of attitude. Second, our bagels weren’t even fucking toasted. got a lox bagel on a cold stale bagel and a cold ham and cheese onion bagel which wasn’t toasted either when clearly, other bagels were being toasted right In front of us. Rather much go to cvs and buy prepackaged bagel. Wish it was possible to give 0 stars.

Love the food to death!!! The desserts are Awesome! Service is good, could be better at times, they do get slammed. The system for waiting staff is tough, narrow paths and such. Good business, great food! Friendly staff, I’ve been trying everything I can…

In the neighborhood? Best place for amazing coffee, delicious bagels and that cozy small shop feel. Lots of excellent Italian pastries, come early for a seat — the line goes out the door most days!

The baked goods are all large and delicious. I’ll stop by here for the huge chocolate covered strawberries alone. Although I tend to leave with a slice of rainbow cake also.
I usually eat lunch here on weekends. Their sandwiches are huge. The fried eggplant with prosciutto and fresh mozzarella is tasty. If I don’t order that, I order the salad with grilled chicken or tuna. The salad has lots of vegetables and cheese. Their balsamic vinegar is sweet and tastes delicious on the salad.
The place is always busy, but service is quick.
