Haven’t been there in a while. Ford is very good. Prices are fair. They had a good bottle of Malbec on the wine list for a reasonable price. Will return … maybe even on a regular basis. I recommend the pork chops with hot cherry peppers.

Has even a family favorite for over 16 years… Calamari, baked clams, pizzas and more. All use to be delicious! Chicken Francais is my fav and that still tasted the same, Chicken Parm is great too. The food is not the same as it has been in years past. I now know the Page ave location is far better than the one on Hylan ave. Sorry Hylan but we all were disappointed!

This is a little jewel hidden under my daughter’s dance school. The service is great, the food is delicious and the price is right. My favorite is definitely the Calamari Fritti, and the Eggplant Parm!

This place is good, but not great. I had started the lobster goat cheese salad special the lobster wasn’t fresh and the salad lacked dressing that wasn’t good. My friend had the stuffed shrimp appetizer which was good. For dinner I had the stuffed chicken special which was good. My friend had the scallop special which came with enormous scallops I tasted that and thought it was good as well. For dessert the lava cake was decent and cheesecake was very good. The service was excellent no complaints there. I frequently attend the old bridge NJ location and that just cannot compare if anyone lives in staten island that one is worth the drive! This one just doesn’t live up to that location. Don’t get me wrong food was good, but nothing mind blowing like the old bridge location. They also only had 3 specials on a Saturday so that was disappointing. Generous portions here overall it was good, but nothing mind blowing.

I didn’t choose this place, my mom & I were visiting a friend in hospital and decided to ask my brother to meet at a restaurant so he said to meet here. Before entering I always look for grade and it disturbed me that the grade was pending. I almost wanted to say let’s go somewhere else but as we looked in window we saw by surprise other family members eating and they were excited to see us. So we all sat together at one big table. My cousins reported they are regulars here and food is great. Like any good Italian family they had tons of appetizers on table and they were pretty much putting every plate in front of us to eat. I can’t rave about anything it was okay. Grilled shrimp, fried calamari, and some other type of shrimp with asparagus salad they were all okay but not extraordinary. The foccacia was very good. So I order linguine in white clams sauce, I really had a craving. My cousin was all lit up saying you picked the best dish, it’s my favorite, you’ll love it. Well, I was disappointed. I first was visually disappointed there were no fresh clams in the shell on presentation. Then after a few mouth fulls I said this is no good and asked my cousin who raved about it to try and to tell me if this was the norm. He agreed and said something was off about it. I was encouraged to ask for return, before I did ask my cousin spoke to the waiter and I was told I could order a different dish. I then ordered a pasta with eggplant and ricotta sollata. It was very good. Overall I was not pleased and probably will not return.

I used to come to café luna growing up, but haven’t been there in so many years! I was recommended here recently, so went for dinner. The reason they lost a star was for service. It was not that they were rude, instead they were not attentive. We waited for 10 minutes for someone to come over to us and ask if we wanted water. Otherwise their food was great with big portions. We started with the(seasonal) stuffed artichoke, which was good. I had the salmon on the menu, which was above average to me! A generous piece with delicious light sauce and grilled with a little crisp. Salmon is such a common dish I eat, so it rarely impresses me, but this one was worth commenting on! My boyfriend had the porterhouse steak special over rissotto, which was also very generous in size. The Demi glaze was so tastey without taking over the flavor of the steak.(I know because I tasted it haha) We skipped dessert this time, but I’m sure we will be back and try it!

Food was pretty good overall, except the vodka sauce was runny. The server acted as if he were doing us a favor by waiting on us. The support waiters were great, just not our own. Wanted dessert but didn’t want to deal with him again.

Chicken parm plate was excellent. The Mrs had fish and really like it as well, very nice place though pricey, dinner cost us 80 for 2 no drinks but we did each have dessert.

Do not under any circumstance let this strip mall setting affect your decision to give this magnificent gem of Italian goodness deter you from popping in for a magnificent surprise . Eggplant rollatini app for $ 6. Veal marsala w/spaghetti for $ 9. OMG! The eggplant has just the right amount of succulent sauce with small soft chunks of tomato and the lightly breaded eggplant was perfect along with just enough ricotta and mozzarella to keep me wanting more. The veal was pressed thin I thought it was going to dissolve in my mouth the spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente while the mushrooms did an amazing tongue dance and the sauce was divine. I could hardly wait to recommend this to my Unilocal friends. The only problem that I see is a need for more home made bread to soak up both the gravy’s. Great service and I can’t wait to come back.

I will concur with the other reviews and say that the food is decent but I wouldn’t return here because it was the snootiest and most obnoxious service I’ve ever had — anywhere. I’ve been eating out multiple times per week for decades so I don’t say that lightly and I think this is the first time I’ve ever been compelled to write a negative review about a restaurant, even with some less than stellar experiences. My biggest regret is that I left the waiter a tip!

The food was pretty good, but talk about snobby horrible service. We went to this strip mall establishment based on word of mouth. Upon entering we were ignored for a good ten minutes before anyone would seat us in the half empty dining room. Then it was a good fifteen more minutes before getting a glass of water or even the attention of a waiter who was clearly more interested in other tables. We decided to just order pasta based on how terrible the service was up until that point and cut our losses. The waiter let us know how much he didn’t like us ordering just pasta with his look of utter disgust. As I said before, the Linguine Nere and Fettuccine Alfredo were pretty good, however for what we paid, it barely covered the bottom of the plate. I don’t believe I could have paid more to be treated worse by any restaurant. Thankfully there was a friendly McDonald’s drive-thru a few stores down the strip mall to fill us up.

So when l was about 10 years old I would always go there for lunch and order the same thing all the time. Penn vodka. So today I took a good friend of mine there because I haven’t been there in about 10 years, and let me tell you that was some good Italian food. I ordered the eggplant rollatini and she had penn vodka. The eggplant rollatini was very neat/pretty on my plate. We later had desert. Tiramisou was good and the chocolate mousse cake. There’s no wifi unfortunately that’s why I give it a 4 but other then that everything was great!

A cut above typical Italian food. Wait staff is attentive, doesn’t seem to pack it in as they once did. Biggest negative… the menu, it has been the same for so long. I was here about a year ago, and the menu had a note on it saying«No Cigar or Pipe Smoking»… If your menu has been the same since you were able to smoke a cigarette in the dining room, it may be time to get cracking on some new ideas. Luckily, I am a sucker for linguini and clams(boring, I know)… sometimes I get the black linguini to mix things up. Deeeliciousssss

If there was a staple dish here I would return for it. However, the staff here is unlike anything I have ever seen. To say that they all are rude is an understatement. Stay away and eat in a happy great-full place.

Honestly, this is some quality Italian food. Yeah, it’s situated in a little strip mall complex, but don’t be deceived. I remember this place from when I was seven years old and my best friend’s very Italian father used to order in from here. I went home raving about the food… even at that age I knew my macaroni. The pasta menu is extensive and I really doubt you’ll be disappointed.
