Jody’s Club Forest

I had high expectations going to Jody’s last night. Everyone told me how good the burger was. Me and my girlfriend had the worst burger we have ever had in our entire life. First off walking in the door, no one was there to great us. We had to wonder around for a bit until we found someone to write our name down for a table. I got the blue cheese Burger with sweet potato fries and my girlfriend got the same with onion rings. The sweet potato fries were burnt and the onion rings were nothing special. My burger had a burt taste but was cooked rare and my girlfriends burger was cooked beyond recognition. I will never be going back again, extremely disappointed!

Consistently great meals at Jodys. They never disappoint. Portions are large and the service is excellent and friendly. The Chicken Parm meal is the best on the island. My wife’s favorite is Jody’s bowtie pasta. The wings and the rest of the apps are also very good. The burgers and cheese steak sandwiches are pretty damn good as well.

Went to Jody’s for the first time last night. We had a big group of 12. My buddies and I had our annual Secret Santa gift exchange here (yes we know it’s super late). A friend and I walked in before the rest of our party and we did not have a reservation. It looked pretty busy for a Monday night. We asked for a table for 12 and the hostess set up a table very quickly with no hesitation. She was also our waitress and she was great throughout the night.
We ordered a lot of food. The burgers were very juicy and were good. The wings were meaty as well. Everything came out great. They were very accommodating. There were ample TV’s throughout the entire place also. Would definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

The interior is wooden and well lit, this leads to a warm atmosphere and the beers only make you feel warmer. Loved the staff.

Just there for a birthday celebration with 18 people in their newly renovated room. Boy did we have a good time. The food is obviously delicious since we go there regularly, but having the back room to ourselves was a nice thing as well. The staff is always pleasant, friendly, and accommodating.

BEST PLACE EVER WITH THE BEST FOOD EVER! Jody’s is our absolute favorite place to eat and for our weekly date night. The food is truly amazing along with the staff and owners. Jody’s never disappoints. This is a true neighborhood restaurant with the famous «Cheers“atmosphere. «Where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came». This was the place I was taken on our first date and 2 ½ years later we continue to enjoy it for our weekly date night and for many many many more. Thank you Jody’s for always being amazing!

Family owned and operated, Jody’s has been around forever!!! There is a reason why… excellent food and portion size at a great price! Even the drinks are cheap! No happy hour needed. The food is consistent because they have had the same employees there for years. Great location, little place but a big winner!

Best local restaurant! People are friendly and food is excellent! It’s like eating at your Grandmas house. It’s always crowded but they’re accommodating to all party sizes and offer a variety of bar food and Classic entrees. Specifically they’re French onion soup, cheesesteak, meatloaf, corn beef etc. It’s all delicious and they have specials every day. I frequent this place and would recommend it to anyone. It’s a neighborhood staple!

If your in the area and looking for a delicious/​hearty meal and a cold beer Jody’s is the place for you. Their daily specials are always satisfying; especially roast beef Wednesday ! Other personal favorites are the burghers, Philly cheese steaks, and Chicken Teriyaki Wings. The bar has everything you could want from wine for the ladies to Jameson for the men, you can also always find Swithwicks on tap here. The atmosphere is genuine to the neighborhood, sit at the bar if you can and strike up a conversation with some local blue collar guys that will be sure to give you a story and a laugh. Very friendly staff makes you feel welcome and at ease. Go to Jody’s and get a feel and a taste of what North Shore Staten Island is all about, you won’t be disappointed.

Can’t get enough of this place. I’m a born & raised staten islander– as a local– this is a great spot to hit. No matter where youre from, it feels like home. American-​Irish bar/​restaurant with welcoming faces and delicious food. Everytime I go out to eat I find myself at Jodys to try something new. The entire menu is delicious, with daily specials.
The staff goes out of their way to accomodate your needs and make it an over-​all 5star experience, in a casual atmosphere.
Best known for Burgers & Philly Cheese Steak

My husband and I love coming here for good food! We’re not big drinkers but def worth a try on a thurs night for their Gobbler Sandwhich (thanksgiving dinner on a sandwich!) I love their burgers and fries! Chicken finger appetizers are really good too!

Wanted to stroll down memory lane today when visiting the Island. Jody’s was my first choice. I have spent many nights here in my youth.
This is a nice neighborhood pub/​sports bar. It reminds me of going to Cheers where every body knows your name. True story, I met up with two people that I haven’t seen in about 10 years.
Came here earlier today with my brother to catch a little playoff football. We arrived at about 12:15 and was able to grab two spots at the bar. After catching up with old friends for awhile, we ordered a couple of Bloody Marys before the start of the game.
Jody’s Club Forest opened in 1976. It was one of the first bars on Staten Island to have DirectTV so the patrons could watch Sunday football with friends.
For an appetizer we had an order of Buffalo Wings. I kept going down memory Lane going by ordering the Corned Beef Sandwich with Swiss Cheese on Rye, it was just as I remembered. My brother had the cheeseburger. We also split a side of fries.
They also have a somewhat limited Brunch menu. So if you are on the Island, give Jody’s a try.
Why only 3 stars? I just wasn’t blown away with the food. Maybe you will be.

Great atmosphere! The waiters are great. They make you feel like you’ve known them forever. They are so attentive & innovative when you want to add a twist to your meal. I kind of wished there was a hotel upstairs so I can leave for 3 hours to nap and come back to join them. It’s a good crowd. I just love the place. They’ll definitely see more of me !

I been here quite a few times lately, and there’s a reason for that. The food is really good, and the burgers on an English Muffin EXCELLENT!!! Terakyi Wings just cant stop eating them. The tap beer flows nicely!!! The staff as well as the patrons are very friendly. Its a neighborhood place stop by, kid friendly too; ENJOY!!!

Never had a bad meal here. Fish and chips are excellent, as well as their prime rib. I find their burger the best on Staten Island…

My favorite burger on Staten Island. I give it an edge over Duffy’s. Appearance wise the two burgers are almost identical, but I find the burgers at Jody’s to be more moist. Only criticism I have is that you need to order your burgers one step below what you actually want. Order rare and you’ll get medium rare. This has only become a problem recently. Will have to see if they fix this and adjust rating accordingly. A few months ago this was 5 star in my eyes.
