New Dakota Diner

I called this morning at 10:50 for a breakfast (a short order 2 breakfast meals, chocolate chip pancakes, and French toast) as of 12:27 my order still hadn’t arrived. When I called after waiting over an hour I was told the food would be here in a couple of minutes. However, it still hasn’t arrived an hour an half later… I called back since it still hadn’t arrived and was begun to told the same thing as before… I asked to speak to a manager or owner explaining that if the food left when the lady said it had it would clearly be cold… the gentleman’s only explanation was that it was busy and if I didn’t like the food to send it back… He did not understand that I would logically be annoyed that my food would take over an hour and half (and I live with walking distance). Unfortunately, this is not the first issue I had with their delivery, last time I order the wrong food was delivered. Clearly they should not be advertising a good delivery service if they cannot get the correct order to you in a reasonable time.

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner with my dad and lady… Food was good… It was very busy and understandable that things were delayed. My dad goes here daily and likes the food. Last time I was there was in 1997 the last year that Dennis DeYoung toured with STYX.

— $ 6 OFF online orders) — food came in about 45 minutes, was packed, enough for the next day.

Breakfast was very disappointing! The food was terrible and the service was slow. I had visited this Diner before in the evening and the food was actually good, that’s why I returned. I honestly would NOT recommend this Diner for breakfast.

Poor service waitress had an attitude. We waited 1 hour for our breakfast which never arrived. No one came to our table to tell us our food will be here soon. When we got up to leave they didn’t apologize or nothing. Just charged us for our drinks. I’d rather go to IHOP in the next parking lot over n face my ex girlfriend than come here again.

I remember nights in high school where this was one of the few places still open at late hours. Cheap, large plates of food with a jukebox at your disposal and the bright, yet soothing lights of cars at the intersection just outside. It has the feel of a place where you can have a life changing moment, or just live through what will be a good story.

Food not as good as it use to be. Ordered salad it looked old or reused, I just threw it away. I didn’t call to complain I just won’t order from them again. The food is not cheap you expect to get something that’s edible. I’ve noticed a big change in the quality of their food. Never again.

The service was ok. The food was alright. The only good part were the eggs. Everything else was either under cooked, noticeably frozen, or tasted as if everything used the same oil.

Its’ a diner. What else can you say! The food is ok and sometimes the service can be slow. I just like the fact that in staten island, their is somewhere to eat at 3 am.

Nice diner on Staten Island. It has a very homey vibe to it, and the food is pretty good. Waiter can mess up your order at times, and it can be very fast-​paced.

Last time ordering from them. They make so many mistakes with your order you would think they are owned by Mike’s…and Ceasars salads do not have iceberg lettuce nor do they have unripened green peppers.

I really can’t complain. Great service, good food, and willing to make any changes so you leave happy and full. I am happy!

They always have good food, regardless if it’s Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner.
Service can be some what slow at times, looks like at times they are short staffed. But don’t let that stop you from going.

Our service has been good and friendly. Really, better than most places these days — and attentive. The food is barely average. The pastry is definitely not good. A Napolean was soggy, and filled with an oily, airy, vaguely vanilla tasting filling, not the usual custard. Terrible. Prices a little high. One of the owners berated a waiter in front of me. Unpleasant, and bad form.

Food quality was good, service was slow and mediocre. If it’s the early morning hours and there aren’t many alternatives, than this place is passable. But during normal working hours there are many other places in the area to get better dining experience.

Called at 10:30am to place an order. This Woman on the phone could not speak a lick of English. Just be on the safe side, I had her repeat my order, and when she did she didn’t get any of it right. The whole ordering process took over 10 annoying minutes.
After waiting for an hour and a half I decided to call back. Another woman who spoke fluent English answered and said she did not know the status of my order and kept me on hold for almost another 10 minutes. So I hung up and called again and when she answered, I cancelled my order.
Terrible service. Do not support this business.

I ordered lunch from grub hub. The reuben was served open faced and filled an entire Styrofoam to-​go box. It was good, but came with mustard and I’m more partial to 1000 island on my reuben. I wish there was an option to select that, as there was with corned beef vs. pastrami.
The french onion soup had more cheese than onions, but I’m not complaining about that.
The fries were a bit soggy and the ketchup that came with the delivery was not heinz.
For 20 $, I got a ton of food for lunch. I’d order from here again.

I Went to have breakfast with my sister. I first walked in was treated like I was not to walk in the front door but the back door were the sign said colors olny. The waitress was very rude. Our waiter did not get my order right I asked for egg whites veg but that was to much for him to get right. I would not spend a dime there ever again. I eat at I-​hop and they sick too. So the the management take some time to teach your staff that customer come first in the service industry.

I came here to get a bite to eat and at first I was a little worried. This place does not win you over with their appearance. They make up for it with their service. My waitress was fast and really knew what she was doing. Always stayed on top of her tables. I had the French onion soup, as I always do when I go to a diner. Also had the chicken pesto panini with sweet potato fries. Both had great favors. I will def come back to this place.

Been here once on a date. Order the stuff shrimp that wasn’t all that good but he kept on bitching how I order the most expense stuff on the menu until this day which i well never forget lol so the foods alittile pricy but at the same time 24 hours of food so three stars for me!
