Food is mediocre at best! Mussels were very tasty but my veal cutlet was dry abd tough and pasta looked like diner food! Very little sauce on top, the rest just boiled pasta! Very unappetizing! I was also very unhappy with the wine. Ordered cabernet, nice size glass but sour taste! Not impressed with this restaurant at all!

Today is my birthday My wife and I found them on Unilocal and went there for dinner based on the great reviews and they were correct! We were greeted warmly at the door. Waiter came over quickly and gave us the specials. Within minutes our fresh salads and bread were at the table. I ordered the chicken Marsala because it is one of my favorite dishes and I was NOT disappointed. The portion was great and it was VERY dark Marsala sauce just how I like it, authentic Italian just like grandma used to make! My wife ordered chicken parm which I don’t usually order out because I am so picky with marinara sauce but, it was fantastic! The 2nd best part about this restaurant behind the food was the service. They waited tables by committee, anyone walking by jumped to help us, filled our drinks and did everything with a smile! Being an Italian restaurant on SI you have to have great food and service to survive and they nailed it all! I have 2 stores in the island so I will be going back and also telling everyone to give them a try. Thank you for a great birthday dinner!!!

Came here last week on a date night with my wife. Decided to give them a try after I saw that they were one of the restaurants nominated for best family style Italian restaurant. One of our favorite places to eat is Aunt Butchies and since they’re literally next door we decided to give it a shot. The parking is pretty scarce and was monopolized by the dance school a few doors down. We had to park on the street. Not a big deal other that it was pouring and very windy that evening. The décor is nice, but the music playing was a bit too loud. The waiters, including our’s seemed really young. I was concerned that he might mess up our order or possibly not be attentive enough. I was wrong. The waiter was very well informed, attentive and best of all got our order right. We ordered the fried Calamari with the brown sauce we’d heard so much about. We both loved it. For entrees my wife ordered the Penne a la Vodka with grilled chicken and I ordered the Chicken Francese. Both of our meals were delicious and very well portioned. The prices were very reasonable and pretty much comparable to other Italian restaurants in the area. Will definitely go back.

Went here recently for a baby shower, was a very nice spot for this type of event! We had a nice sized private area with bathrooms solely for our party. They served us two options of adult beverages, as well as anything requested.

Food was okay. I didn’t love it. Caesar salad dressing didn’t have any flavor and the dressing was watery.

Decent food but the best service around, you will not get better service anywhere else. The food comes out quick and it’s fairly priced. The service alone should make you want to go there again and again.

Came for a birthday dinner for my brother. Was not seated promptly, as we should have been considering our reservation. Only upon our arrival did they start to set up for our party of 10. We sat down and we noticed there was a chipped glass on the table in front of my 8 year old brother. Thankful he didn’t cut his lip, we told an employee who took the glass away but didn’t bring another one. I had a glass that actually had food in it. Telling the same man, he took it and finally brought us the two glasses we were missing. Service was medicore. We weren’t really checked up on, and some of the men serving our food seemed annoyed at us. Our main waiter was an exception, he was very pleasant. Our food was excellent(reason for my three stars). When it came time for dessert, we brought our own ice cream cake. Whoever was in the kitchen thought it would be a good idea to either put it in the fridge in lieu of the freezer, or leave it out all together. It was literally soup. It was almost comedic. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience and though the food was amazing, it takes more than that to keep customers coming back.

Myself and my family have been frequenting Nucci’s South quite often lately. It has a great family atmosphere and a very nice décor. Every time we go back, we feel like we are treated like family. It feels like everybody knows your name. The bartender, Eddie, has your favorite drink ready, before you can even ask for it. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are quite generous! The staff is so friendly and always trying to please everyone at the table. The service is really second to none. The owner, Paul, is always so kind and welcoming to all. It is obvious that he has taught his staff how to make everyone enjoy there night out. It is easy to see why so many people love dining at Nucci’s South. It is one of my families favorite restaurants!

The food here gets stable 5, but the place need a little update and a definitely a parking! But that is not spoiling my review. Service is always nice, we have been here several times and definitely are will be coming back. Price wise — very acceptable for such quality and delicious food!

Very nicely appointed dining room. We were there with a group but that didn’t matter the staff never missed a beat. We started with some of the standard calamari; baked clams; all served hot and fresh. Everyone enjoyed there entrees including the rib eyes which were served as ordered. Salmon was in a nice wine sauce and my fettucini Alfredo was a home run for me. Definitely a place that we will be back to and enjoy.

True real good italian food. The nucci’s special calamari is top notch. The portions are great. The sauces are also some of the best. Almost anything you get there will be really good.

Food was good. Service was great. Fried calamari was fresh and cooked to perfection. Marinara sauce is great. I ordered the chicken sorrentino and the portion was very big. I couldn’t finish it and ended up taking most of it home. Loved the foccachia that was served with the bread basket.

This restaurant is not good. We ordered takeout and our pizza was ice cold, the zucchini fries were soggy and gross and the chicken roll was so small. The sauce doesn’t taste that good either. Like it just came out of a can. I’ve also been to the restaurant a few times and have never been impressed.

Was here for a family party on a Saturday afternoon. I definitely enjoyed the family style appetizers, the fried calamari came with an interesting dark, spicy sauce, not your typical marinara, although that was also there. The penne all a vodka was good but I didn’t feel the sauce was too well integrated into the pasta, just kind of thrown on. The salad was kind of bleh, like the kind you pull out of a dole bag. Since it’s known as a pizza spot I guess that is their thing. We had a few different pies, the regular, a margarita, a clam pie and a pie with red sauce and sausage that was by far the winner. The clam pie was ok, just kind of seemed like a white pie with not too many clams on it. The service was great, everyone was hospitable and happy to fill your glass and get you whatever you needed.
