I went for a friends dinner on his birthday and we had 9 people total in our group. Our table was ready for a 715 reservation when we got there and the hostess was friendly. The seating space they had us in was certainly a bit cramped but due to the nature of the cooking and presentation this is sort of necessary. Not a knock but they do try to fit everyone around a small space. Our server was slow in getting over to us and slow in getting our drinks out. We had a long night ahead of us so most of us were on iced tea, water, etc. We did have some people drinking but you could tell the server was annoyed we were not all ordering sake bombs right away. I had to ask everytime I wanted my water refilled. Everyone ordered the complete dinners to be cooked on the hibachi except one person. The mushroom and onion broth is something I have never cared for so I passed on mine. The small dinner salad was over dressed. Our one friend who ordered something prepared in the kitchen received her entire meal before anyone’s entrée on the hibachi was ready. The fried rice was very good. It is probably my favorite reason for coming to this type of meal. People basically ordered some combinatin of filet, shrimp, or chicken off the hibachi. I had just the chicken and it was average. Everyone finished their meals and there are no complaints. I have always felt these are the types of places you go for the show and not the food and this was a similar experience. Our hibachi chef did a good job and was enteratinaing. Am I dying to go back? No. Would I if the group wanted to go hangout and do it again, sure.

I agree with both Jon V statement that It’s airport sushi, set expectations accordingly” and another traveler’s complaint about the absence of table service. Sushi is an easily digestible, healthy choice when traveling! I’ve had it when«on the road» in Los Angeles, San Diego, Okinawa, Georgia and even Alabama. Tip: pay up for the sashimi platter packaged to go, emphasize that you’ve got to go, and consume at your leisure on long flights — their snap together plastic containers keep fluids from leaking! Tip: Carry it to departure gate — not arduous if you also pay up for checked bag service! Disclaimer: As I’m not a fan of rice nor California rolls I did not assess either of them!

It’s airport sushi, set expectations accordingly. Rolls were nothing special, nigiri was fresh.

Sushi in an airport. Seems like a great idea, right? Wrong. At least it’s wrong here. The sushi itself is maybe a 2.5 — not horrible but just really not very good either. Rice doesn’t taste right and pieces fall apart. When nigiri doesn’t want to stay on the rice, that’s a problem. Despite being made fresh in front of you, it tastes like grocery store sushi. I wouldn’t expect better in an airport except that I’ve had it in many other places. Service is a 1.5. They have tables with menus on them. That would suggest table service. But they won’t wait on you at the table. You have to go to the counter to place your order. No biggie. Then you have to go to the counter to pick up your order — even if they have three people standing behind the counter and maybe a half-dozen customers. I don’t really like leaving my bags unattended at all — but I had to to go get my sushi. Annoying. I’ve actually eaten here twice with the same experience. The first time was about a year ago and I’d forgotten about it so I tried it again. Now I’m Unilocaling about it, if nothing else than for my own self-reference so I don’t mess up a third time!

Wow. This sushi was not good. I seriously wasted my money. There are much better options in the airport! Avoid it!
