Went here on a whim last Thursday when it was cool and raining. Fried Pickles and Mac and Jack bites were excellent. Very clean and well kept inside with some cool and unique features. I’ll definitely be retuning next time in Stevens Point.

The ambiance in this place was great, especially if you like to see older beer cans, signs, and other interesting beer related antiques. This place has some history and made me proud of my Wisconsin beer heritage. The food was exactly what I expected and there’s nothing wrong with that. The Jack n Mac bites were great, your typical see friend cheese goodness. I order the chicken flipper dinner which came with a nice salad before hand. All the French fries were warm and cooked to perfection. Washed it all down with a beer from O’so, it was a great experience. To add to it all the service was wonderful, I would return if I’m ever back in the Point area.

Good food and lots of good beers on tap. The place has a quirky atmosphere, lots of neat historical memorabilia all around, and a big beer barrel at the entrance, but then the tables and chairs are a bit spartan. It was busy and people kept coming so they seem to be doing well here. We’d come back if ever in Stevens Point again.

My friend and I decided to get lunch here. Since it was a nice day we decided to sit outside. The inside was pleasant as well and had eye-catching local décor. Our server was really personable and made it feel that we were her only two customers. We started our order with Point root beer and an order of deep fried pickles. The locally drafted root beer was sweet and crisp, served in a chilled mug. The texture of the pickle spears was a nice crunch that matched delectably with the juiciness. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and brew city fries for my entrée. The buffalo sauce in the wrap was not overwhelmingly spicy and provided a bold flavor. The brew city fries complimented the buffalo wrap well. The service, atmosphere, and food were all great. This is a perfect place to grab something casual like a burger or wrap. I will be returning every time I am back in Stevens Point!

Food was great, being new to the area, I enjoyed the Wisconsin Bratwurst and the local made beer, it was Bourbon Barrel Stout. Good prices.

Perfect place to grab a beer and watch a game. The cheese curds were good(and something you should try if you are visiting Wisconsin). The fish fry(Cod) was also good, but not served as hot as I would have liked, and came with a nice helping of potato salad.

Very good casual American food and friendly service in a relaxed bar/pub atmosphere. Have had both lunch and dinner here and all meals were really good thinking of overall wait time, price, value and portion size. Highlights are homemade Reuben sandwich, chicken And dumpling soup, shrimp & cod dinners and I think its the best turkey burger in town. We walked out once as it was crazy crowded on Friday night. Recommend going Monday-Thursday to avoid crowds as waiting area is very limited.

Service was fun and friendly and food was delicious. Boneless wings were 5 out of 5& burgers were 4 out of 5. Don’t pick the fresh fruit… not much flavor but it also wasn’t exactly«in season» so my own fault. Definitely would recommend visiting. Tons of beer on tap! I actually had the ultimately hot chocolate which I will be recreating on my own some time bc it was so good! :)

My favorite place to eat in Point. best fish fry and only place in Point with good shrimp. I love their soup, great appetizers, never had a bad meal there. Staff very friendly and attentive… could use seats that don’t wobble… otherwise, perfect.

First time there and went back 2 days later. The food was delicious and cooked to my liking. The bartender was really nice and knowledgeable on other bars around the town. Will definitely be back when I visit.

Great selection of beers on tap. I had a Bloody Mary and it was perfect. My husband and I had the fried fish. Was lightly breaded and very flaky. We both had fries and you get plenty. Waitress was very friendly and food was served swiftly. Would gladly stop again when driving through.

The food is OK and it’s a pretty nice looking bar. The sandwiches are pretty forgettable, but the fish fry is decent.

I love this place, so does my fiancé, and so do our parents. The waitresses are very friendly and very knowledgeable. The portions reflect there price very well. Every time I have been there I have left a very generous tip. Only issue with hilltop is the perch… I grew up in a heavily fishing family. My entire life I have never ate a single local fish with the skin still on it… The perch I could see the stripes through the batter, it didn’t taste bad at all. The perch was actually very good, but I just couldn’t eat more then a couple. Seeing their stripes and having some of the fish slide out of the batter just plain grossed me out. Overall if it wasn’t for that this place would be perfect!

Menu isn’t too special. The Mitchella was original and good. I’ve had the fish fry before and its good too but sometimes you’re just not in the mood for deep fried anything. The Mitchella is an open faced chicken sandwich on a bun smeared with pesto, the chicken breast covered with tomato, onion, mushroom, and then fettuccine sauce.

Stopped in for a fish fry, not on a Friday though, so didn’t have all of the options available. Service was very nice, but maybe we were checked in on a little too frequently. The fish I got(normal cod) was quite good, but the bummer of the meal was that the fish is served on a mountain of potatoes. Like, so many potatoes. That would be fine if they were good, but the waffle fries I got were not good at all. Pretty pale and mushy instead of nice and crispy. Look forward to trying something else in the future! This is a nice location with a good looking menu.

Stopped in tonight with my family for dinner. Place was really busy and there’s little area for waiting but they were hustling to get everyone seated quickly. The bar is in a bad position in the middle of the restaurant. Our food was quite good and as expected that’s most important. There were five of us and we all were pleased with our entries. My son and I had ribs, my wife a steak and my two daughters had chicken fingers and a burger. If you’re in the area and our looking for good food this is a great choice

my friend and i showed up at 11pm on a Tuesday night and were greeted with a smile from Sam behind the bar. she gave me a taste of the mudpuppy porter and i was hooked. really great beer!!! we came back around 830pm the next day for dinner and that porter! we ate at the bar and Sam was there to serve us again. she is really friendly and helpful. she wasn’t hesitant to give me tastes of a few beers. even so, i went back to that porter! l really liked her! Sam recommended the burger and it was really well cooked and tasty. plus, the cheese curds didn’t disappoint either. i’d go back.

The staff was wonderful and that is the only reason this place is getting three stars. Very cool atmosphere, nostalgic beer memorabilia. A buddy and I decided to try this place and both left disappointed. Cheese curds were okay as an appetizer, though half of them didn’t even have cheese left in them because the curds were left in the deep fryer too long. Ordered a Bleu Burger for the main course. In my experience when you order this type of burger you either get melted bleu cheese or a bleu cheese sauce. This dry and flavorless burger had cold bleu cheese crumbles that fell right off the burger while trying to eat it. The burger patty was so over cooked the bun didn’t have a drop of grease. Luckily they had free refills on soft drinks, because I needed three just to get this burger down. I would return here for beers, but not much else.

First Star for the service. After entering through the«barrel», we were greated by a friendly face who found us seating right away. Our server was excellent. He gave us the specials and recommended some items for us. He was attentive and refilled our drinks even if it was semi-busy: lunch time. Second Star for the price. Lot of their meals are under $ 10. Third Star for dining area. Lots of seating. I know the company I work for brings their business clients here as it screams«Wisconsin» in this place with it’s rustic appeal. And that’s about it. I ordered a gyro with beer battered fries. It was plain. I also had a bite of my friend’s pasta. Nothing stood out or shouted flavor. I may return to try something different on their menu.
