A+ food, A+ service.
It’s not everyday that you get A+ service from a restaurant that serves dim sum (well at least from my experience), but this place is an exception. My extended family and I came in on a Saturday afternoon. And despite our large group, they accommodated us very well.
Service was on point, dim sum was on point, food was on point. My family and I were so full from the delicious dim sum that we barely had enough room for any hot food. The ladies working here are very friendly and so appreciative that I wanted to give them a hug.
Definitely coming back to this place! Better than China Palace, Dynasty, and Louie’s. Oriental Chef just might possibly be the best Chinese restaurant in all of Stockton.

Best Dim Sum in Stockton!!! Chef came over from Dynasty and Dim Sum/​Food is fantastic without the long wait and crowds. Dim Sum is hot and has more variety than other restaurants. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. Their service has improved dramatically since they first opened. I will be telling friends and family about this hidden gem. It is right next door to the Post Office on Pacific Ave.

They recently replaced the chef and the quality and taste of the food has vastly improved! It has become our «go to» Chinese restaurant and it is well priced. The service and staff are excellent. Please try them out — we need to keep a decent Chinese restaurant in town! I highly recommend this restaurant.

My family I have been coming to this restaurant for the past decade. When management first changed, the food and service was horrible. But now. This place tastes like the first place (first owners). Amazing. We have it at least twice a month if not more!

The foods taste and flavors are pretty solid now compared to when they first opened. Definitely deserve an upgrade from 1 to 4.

Oriental Chef if a new Chinese restaurant, taken over from a previous Chinese Restaurant. As a Chinese Food aficionado, I have tried several dishes off their menu, along with some fresh Chinese pastries they make in-​house. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of the food. Best Chinese food I have had in a long time. Some of the dishes I order weren’t just Americanized dishes; they were genuine Chinese food dishes. Soothingly delicious flavors of the orient. The Chinese pastries were also great.
Many people are so accustomed to Americanized Chinese dishes and may not be accustomed to the genuine gourmet flavors of genuine Chinese Food. Once you have had the opportunity to taste the many delicacies, you can easily get hooked. Some of our favorites are the vegetable and clay pot dishes.
Did I say this Chinese restaurant also has Dim Sum? They serve dim sum seven days a week from 11am to 3pm. I have tried the Bar-​B-​Que pork buns and Egg Tarts; and they are wonderfully delicious. We are looking forward to our next trip for dim sum this coming weekend and the many other varieties.
Since this restaurant is so new, they are bound some hiccups. I have been to many Chinese start-​up restaurants, and have confidence this will be a very successful restaurant.
Come and give it a try. The food is great, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. With so many varieties on their menu, there are bound to be dishes to satisfy everyone. Bön Apetit.

We’ve given the new owners 3 strikes. 1. Dim sum was cold. Boo. 2. Food was ok. 3. We ordered a seafood pot. When we told the waitress that the seafood was tough and not editable she really didn’t care. I paid for the non editable seafood pot but I will never go back. When someone tells you the food wasn’t good… make it right.

The service here is very very clueless to our need and our order. We received numerous dim sum items that we didn’t order that we had to give back and the things that we ordered took forever to come out. To say the least this restaurant is very unprofessional and lacks the basic principles of a restaurant. This place was Fu Yuan before it was oriental chef and they have the same staff I guess the reviews got so bad that they had to change their name… Shameful service…

Two big thumbs up for a great dinner, great customer service and an even greater value!
Came in around 430PM, was kindly greeted and promptly seated with menus. After a few minutes of looking things over we decided on the «Dinner for Two» which comprised of a House Fried Rice, House Chow Mein, Wor Wonton soup, Broccoli Beef and Sweet & Sour Chicken plus we added the appetizer platter all for $ 30 and some change. We were completely surprised at the amount of food they began to bring out which was overwhelming at first but then we realized how much we would enjoy this meal once again tomorrow evening for dinner haha. As you can imagine, all the food was cooked hot and fresh which made the trip well worth it. Our waitress was very kind, checked in on us and was very cordial. All in all, the food, service and experiences here are worth 5 stars. Don’t forget the awesome dim sum in the AM!

Went here this past Sunday for dim sum and it was really good. Great selection, very fresh, the dining room was clean, and a very attentive waitstaff. The only thing that might catch you off guard is that the servers pushing the carts had very limited English, but that was remedied with the translated dim sum menu, it made ordering a breeze. The next I go I will post pics of our food, it was so good I was eating it as fast as they were bringing it. I highly recommend this place, so give it a try and remember support our local restaurants.

Everything I have tried from Soups to the meals are delicious

The food was pretty good and very reasonably priced. Dinner for 3 came with egg flower soup, 3 pieces of fried chicken, fried rice, chow mein, broccoli beef, sweet and sour pork, and 6 egg rolls for around $ 34 after tax. The service was decent too but they could come around to see if we need anything a little more often. We needed napkins and the waitress didn’t come back to the table until about half way through the meal. The only thing I did not like was that the tables were very dirty. The thing that turns in the middle of the table (I don’t remember what they’re called) looked as if it had not been cleaned since the restaurant opened. It was so greasy no one wanted to touch it. The other thing we noticed is that we told the waitress some if our chopsticks fell in the floor and she placed them on a clean plate on the table behind her. Someone may be eating with dirty chopsticks just an FYI.

This is a new restaurant opened for 2 months, the owner cook and staff are well experienced. The dishes are well prepared, with fresh ingredients, taste as good as they look, and large portions.
They are one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. The prices are reasonable and their wait staff is top notch. They deserve 5 stars.
