Been coming here for over 15 years! It’s the only Chinese restaurant that we go to! The owners are amazing. The owner and his children that work there treat you so well! The food is AMAZING! I truly recommend them to anyone!

This place has gone to the way side. It was better. But I recently visited and it was awful. The portion was so small. I paid extra for a modification and it cost me 3 more dollars and it was way less food. I won’t be back.

I’m not originally from the Stockton area. When I moved here I couldn’t find a good Chinese American place to eat. This place is my favorite. A family owned business. The food is phenomenal. Portions are good. Food is scrumptious.

Picked up 3 meals to go tonight, the garlic fried chicken, foil wrapped chicken and fried asparagus were devoured quickly. Chow Mien and fried rice were spot on. Never dissapointed

I could eat here everyday. I love the freshness and authentic taste of everything I’ve tried here. I really don’t do sweet and sour pork because it’s usually just clumps of fat but theirs… just tender chunks of well flavored meat. I’m a huge fan of their vegetable Egg Foo Yong and chow mein as well. Definitely try this place of you enjoy really good Chinese food. And the prices are great.

This place was recommended to me by an acquaintant, went in and ordered 3 items, Veggie chicken with cashews came with almost raw thin strips of chicken, I asked the waiter to cook the chicken, he took the plate and came back after two min, the Cook did nothing, and the plate came back the same way, when I complained, two people came out of the kitchen defending their dish, obviously those people have no clue about food business if the least of customer service, the waiter’s best explanation was that they are busy, when I asked him to deduct the dish from the bill, here comes Mr Chow from kitchen, ready to fight and argue, we left hungry, mad and very disappointed

I frequent this restaurant often. This last visit I was feeling extremely under the weather, so I ordered a sizzling rice soup. It’s amazing. I woke up without anymore aches and chills. The customer service here is wonderful! Love this place!!!

I ordered house lo mein. I was given chow mein with meat no veggies. I asked, where is the lo mein(thinner noodles) I was told it was lo mein. NOT chow mein. Wont be returning.

Sounds like a great place to dine, if only they delivered… I am very interested in trying your food. I am new to the area now and looking for good quality restaurants to eat at. Thanks for your time.

Don’t bother with this place. They advertise things like Kung Pow chicken and Mongolian Beef but what you are really getting is 90% bland, unseasoned vegetables with the final 10% consisting of TINY chunks of meat. Their chow mein is just as bland as their flavorless veggies. The only redeeming thing about my time here was the foil chicken, that ended up being relatively ok. Worst dining experience in a long time.

I started coming here ten years ago when I met my husband. He has been coming here for probably 15 years. The food is always fresh and delicious. Nothing sits under a lamp. The owner and his family are so nice and very pleasant. They go out of their way to make sure you food is good. We may go long periods without eating here(we do what we can to eat at home every night) but when we do go, they remember what we like and get it to us quickly. I really love their shrimp foo young — it’s my favorite. I get it without the sauce only because I don’t care for a lot of sauce on my food. Their house rice is the bomb. Husband always gets orange chicken. It’s always fresh and not artificial tasting.

It takes a lot for me to take time to write a negative review. Ive only ever done it once before. Id rather help a place then knock it. But this seemed like an instance where I just had to. I ordered the peking ribs and after eating it I looked back on my time in the location, when I waited for my order, and tried to remember if I insulted or angered them in some way. I must have because these things were every definition of awful. They looked like they had been fried 5 to 6 times, and the rib meat itself was bordering an opaque white color. The sauce itself had the consistency of some kind of ectoplasm. Slimy and yet thick in parts. It dangled off my fork and hung there, only to bounce back as i tried to shake it off. After biting into one, the rib meat emulsified in my mouth. Like a thick chunky liquid, pouring out of the fried carcass. I was horrified and disgusted. People say they like this place, and maybe they have dishes they make better, but clearly this particular item was some frozen lunchroom reject that they broke out in the off chance someone ordered it.

LIVEDDOWNTHESTREETFROMTHISPLACEFOR A WHOLEYEARANDNEVERTRIEDITUNTILLASTWEEK! SMH! i ordered the shrimp fried rice and the honey walnut shrimp. OMFG! i went to heaven! So Good! i found our new i want something really good rest. Lots of shrimp in the rice, i hate mayo but loved the honey walnut shrimp. Fiancé got the sweet and sour chicken combo plate… that was not so good. The sweet and sour chicken had NO chicken all breading and sauce, chow mein was all shoots and roots, but the flavor was actually good. I would just recommend that they add more noodles to the chow mein and WAY more chicken into there sweet and sour chicken. other then that we WILL be back!

This place has been a staple in Stockton for years. The garlic chicken is where its at! Brings back plenty of family dinners. Same owner so the recipes at still the same. Good grub.

Wor wonton soup, delicious. Salt and pepper chicken wings are hot, crispy, and scrumptious. Combo plates are huge and you can get endless combinations. This place was great. Wouldn’t think to try it based on the outside appearance, but I’m so happy we did :)

Time to update my review for Mandarin House. I went there a couple years ago and swore I would never go back. I am sure the garlic chicken I had back then was deep-fried twice. You know what that does to the texture and flavor of food and the additional oil that it absorbs. Today was different, at least for the garlic chicken. I ordered a chicken salad and a half order of garlic fried chicken(3 pcs). The chicken was done to perfection. Pump and juicy, deep-fried to a golden brown. The garlic was not overpowering… just right. The chicken salad was forgettable. Meh. I would not order it again. It was hard to discern the few thin pieces of chicken that were in the salad and the ones that I did find had a weird rubbery texture. I will return. Most likely ordered the golden garlic fried chicken and another favorite, the«potato» foo yong as Nikki calls it! lol I would appreciate a message from you telling me where you get your favorite Chinese chicken salad locally… Thanks.

This place has the best garlic chicken. I always order a tray for potlucks or parties. The house fried rice was good as well but like any typical Chinese restaurant. It may get a little pricey but it’s definitely worth it. The owners are really nice & friendly! Also, it doesn’t leave you feeling yucky after eating it because of grease & oil.

I had to check this place out, due to my fellow Unilocalers, «Yelpin» this place up. I absolutely love Egg Foo Young, so I ordered their Shrimp choice. I also ordered Cashew Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. First off let’s talk about the Egg Foo Young. It was missing the Egg and the Foo! It does seem to be more of a potato type pancake than Egg Foo Young. I did find one little shrimp guy in my pancake. I bet he was lonely being the only one. I swear there is shredded potatoes in there, and maybe a bean sprout or two. Maybe… Next lets discuss the rice. I don’t eat rice(my kids do) and they loved it and I saw 5 large shrimps as I was dishing it out. Last but not forgotten, the Cashew Chicken was by far my favorite. I didn’t really see any chicken, and I realized there are very tiny pieces that resemble a bamboo shoot, but they are there! What I loved about this dish was the amount of veggies and amazing taste of this dish. There are carrots, celery, chestnuts, etc and whole cashews. Although I didn’t order the piece of Grey hair I received with this dish, I do appreciate the gesture! lol I alone ate the whole thing(not the hair) as it was delicious! Would definitely be back, for the Cashew Chicken and the«potato» foo young.
