Ordered twice of the same item on different occasions: 2 lbs mild shrimp. It was never fresh. The shell of the shrimp fused into the meat and the shrimp meat itself is crumbly. I hate to say this but i am taking my business elsewhere.

I was craving for meat without the bones. so I was in the zone for some crab zone. The food was OK but I was expecting it to be spicier than sweet. since they copied the opening and closing hrs of boiling crab they should just copy boiling crab’s recipe.

It’s fine. But for the price, I’d really expect more. I ordered crawfish for myself and shrimp for a friend. It was fine, but honestly just lacking a little. Would it kill to use fresh garlic instead of powdered or fresh herbs instead of a seasoned salt mix? The shrimp didn’t look so fresh either — I really hope a restaurant dedicated to seafood isn’t selling frozen. And for the price, it really should’ve come with some corn or potatoes or something of substance. It’s fine, definitely fine if you want to stay in Stockton. Just could’ve been better for the price.

This is My favorite place to eat. The food is so amazing. I always get the crawfish in lava sauce. If you like really spicy you have to try the lava sauce. Totally worth the 30min drive. Just try to come before 6. It gets crazy busy especially on the weekends.

The food is great, that is why I frequent crabzone at least once when I’m visiting home. but I’m giving this place 3 stars because customer service has always been below satisfactory. You can expect a wait time of 10−15mins for a waitress to ask your choice of beverage. Then another 25 mins to be served. So be prepared to wait and be ignored. However, like I mentioned before the food is great but service is unfortunately slow. It’s the only restaurant in Stockton that serves Louisiana Cajun style seafood so beggars can’t be choosers.

Siting here waiting for 30 minute. Then cook come out and told me to wait other hours for my food to be ready. This is bs. Sat here for to tell my order not ever be order only 3customer in the rest.

Love the garlic fries and garlic noodles. Shrimp is over cooked placed in watery sauce, which makes the shrimp taste bland. French bread is hard. Nice little spot but I probably won’t order shrimp from here. it was so over cooked that I had a hard time peeling

Ordered takeout — the lady on the phone who took our order was friendly and helpful. We haven’t ate here before and she helped us out with part of our order. She said it would take 30 minutes until our food was done and we went there and we were in and out in under 5 minutes. THEFOOD: Shrimp: we ordered it with head on with the spicy herb seasoning/mild. It was alright. The sauce is very sweet and thin. The shrimp was overcooked though. The meat was stuck to the peel and it kept cooking in the sauce. Sausage: spicy & chunky. I believe they were fried before being put in the shrimp bag. We liked the texture of it. Garlic noodles: I wouldn’t recommend it. Tasted like egg noodles with garlic powder and chunks of garlic. 2 stars for the convenient location and getting the order correct. We’ve had better elsewhere and just wanted to try this place out.

Came in right when they opened, The service was great, very friendly and accommodating however the food is another story. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and it was soft and soggy… the texture was just gross. We tried a few more pieces and I was over it. I do not plan on coming back, I rather drive to Elk Grove or Davis than come here again. The staff gave us a full refund on the 2 lbs of shrimp we ordered. They deserve 4 stars for their service but def not for the food. We might’ve came on the wrong day when they had a bad shipment so it sucks we had a bad experience…

My review is based on a take out order. Being from the bay area where we have places like The Boiling Crab or Kickin Crab, my review may be biased. First off, calling this establishment was horrible. I tried calling multiple times only to either be put on hold or get an answering machine. If it wasn’t for my wife, I would have just gone for fried chicken. Anyways, after about 12 minutes of being on hold my order was taken. They said 30mins so I gave them 40. When I got there my food wasn’t even ready and I still waited another 15 mins. Anyways, the food. We ordered the cajun shrimp mild. It was pretty good and when they say spicy… they mean spicy. The seasoning was good, but it was watered down and when it came time to peel our shrimp, they definitely were overcooked from all the steam. We also ordered garlic butter clams which was heavily seasoned with white wine. I felt like I was going to get drunk off of this dish, the wine was so overpowering. Last but not least, we ordered calamari. It was fairly decent, but it was obvious that they were deep frying everything using the same oil. You could practically taste the French fries. Overall, it’s a fairly decent place for Stockton, as there isn’t any other place like this in the city. My advice: don’t order shrimp for take out & if u do, have them dump raw shrimp into the sauce just before they give it to you, I don’t think you want to deal with peeling severely overcooked shrimp.

The food here is delicious! The service is not so great– They are slow and don’t check back often. The quality of the food far outweighs the inattentive service though. I got the garlic butter crab, Cajun shrimp, hush puppies, and hot links. Would recommend them all! They should offer half pound options and they charge for refills on iced tea(which is served in a small cup to begin with)!

Ambience was nice, waitress wasn’t very friendly but food was good. They don’t offer half pounds, which I think they should. Food was pretty good, would recommend to friends. My only suggestion is to hire friendlier staff. We ordered Cajun rice, hush puppies and Cajun flavored shrimp. It was all very good. Downside, although it was not busy and there were plenty of workers it took forever to get our food, we also weren’t offered refills on our drinks.

First of all this place is nothing like the Boiling Crab keep that in mind. Their sauce is extremely watery and its over priced! Service can be better. The pound for Shrimp and Crawfish is $ 12.99 ! Who ever recommended the Crawfish is trolling with you. I was very disappointed with the Crawfish, it barely has anything in it. Don’t recommend the Crawfish at this restaurant. If you are really thinking of coming here you are better off ordering Shrimp. Seriously this place isn’t that great. They need to improve on their sauce and prices are ridiculous. Im surprised to see people giving it 5 stars because the food here isn’t that great. If you love Cajun food this is not the place to go. But if its your first time trying it then you won’t be as disappointed.

The service here is pretty horrible. And the food takes extremely long. It took a few minutes for us to get seated. We ordered shortly after and waited over 40 minutes for our food. Not once did anyone check on us to refresh our drinks or even update us on the status of our food. The food isn’t bad here but it’s overpriced and the service is garbage. The shrimp and garlic noodles were good but our most expensive item was extremely bland. $ 50 for crab that taste like nothing. The owner apologized when he brought our check but was rude earlier when I asked about our food. If you have the time drive to firehouse or boiling crab. We spent $ 100 to take our food home and sit there and sip on coke for an hour. Also I noticed the owner being rude to other patrons of the restaurant. Telling them«it doesn’t matter if you sit here or order take out your food is gonna take an hour.» I wish he told us that.

One star because their food is good, but that’s the only good thing about this place. Their customer service is BEYONDTERRIBLE! We wanted to order to go, but when they answered the phone, they asked us what we wanted to order and before we could finish telling her our order, the girl on the phone said«on second thought can I call you back?» And hung up the phone! FIRST of all… how the EFF are you gonna call us back if YOUDON’T HAVEOURNUMBER!!? SECONDLY, do you not have any manners? Or were you just born rude?! If she asked to put us on hold, WEWOULDHAVEWAITED! This place can kick rocks… and more rocks!

First and last time coming here… we came here on a Sunday for dinner. We had a party of 10 —(one party of 6 and another part of 4, 2 separate bill). Right when we walked in we were greeted with a mean attitude as if it was too hard to accommodate our ginormous party. After standing around for some odd minutes of waiting, they FINALLY figured some thing out. Our food was decent. The market price for ONE crab was $ 45.00… Holy smokes! anyhow we ordered; one serving of crawfish, one serving of headless shrimp, one serving of head on shrimp, one crab, shrimp basket, large rice, and large garlic noodles, 4 corn on the cob — TAB #1 $ 146.00 total. The other part ordered; one serving of crawfish, one serving of head on shrimp, one shrimp basket, one chicken tender basket, three sodas, and two corn on the cob — TAB #2 $ 75.00 total. The food was just spicy, no flavor. The waitress mentioned that the crawfish were frozen, but never mentioned how tiny they were. The crab we ordered, the waitress never brought us any metal crackers to Crack the crab legs. The owner himself tried to refill our cups of water and instead spilled half the pitcher of water on the ground… My bill for $ 145.00+ included a service charge of $ 20.33 that they decided to add into my bill. Never once did they mention anything about a service charge or have anything written on the menu or walls about a service charge.

I never come here unless I go with friends and even then I still don’t like coming here. I dont know why my friends rave so much about this place. It’s overpriced, over rated, and frozen. I finally gave this place a chance AND I will NEVERCOME back here ever again. I called ahead earlier today and they said that they’re closing at 10pm. Got here at 8:30pm and doors are locked and the owner said they’re closed already. On top of that, his whole staff, only one girl knows how to serve. Everyone else don’t have a clue about the menu or where anything is. Frozen, EVERYTHINGIS Frozen! You’re paying 12.99 to eat frozen, dead smelling crawfish. It’s not fresh from Louisiana like the owner claims. I have friends in the business, I am well aware of what’s fresh and available throughout the year. Family owned, not the business, they close early whenever convenient and don’t go by their business hours, so why have them at all? They mess up on orders all the time and it’s your fault for ordering what you order and not knowing what is what when it comes out the kitchen. Other than sauce, there’s nothing fresh or good here. Just buy the sauce and boil your own seafood at home.
