Great atmosphere, fresh food and pleasant staff. The food comes out relatively quick too for being a sushi restaurant. Love the presentation of the food too!

Wonderful service! They have very affordable lunch specials. Came here with a groupon, even then the service and food was still excellent!

My little sister and I were pleasantly surprised of the atmosphere when we walked in to the sushi restaurant in a small strip mall. It was clean and dim lighting gave off a romantic ambiance. I was in between 3 or 4 but I ultimately gave Nana Sushi a 4 star because of the service. The service was exceptional. Once we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. We shortly received water after settling into our seats. Although our waitress came back multiple times to take our order we didn’t feel pressured, in fact she was very nice and understanding that we were first timers there. Our water never went empty and even the owner came by to refill our drinks. It just truly goes to show that he leads by example for his employees and he cares about his business. We ordered the grilled salmon teriyaki and Nana combination sushi. The salmon was grilled perfectly. I love a little bit of crispness to my fish, giving it a great texture. The Nana combo came with Ariel, crazy tuna, dragon roll, and rainbow roll. They were all great except for the crazy tuna. My little sister and I each had one maybe two and it was just not good. We were expecting spicy tuna but we were sadly disappointing. Regardless of the bad roll, I really got a bang for my buck. We will be coming back but just skipping the crazy tuna when we’re in the area again.

Just left the restaurant and the food was fabulous! I’m not a sushi connesouir but I decided to give it a try using my Groupon. I took some Unilocalers advice and ordered a Bento box. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and it came with miso soup, salad, sushi, and something fried(which was delicious). Because I had 30 dollars to spend, I ended up ordering the Korean Beef to take home and some Kimchee Seafood Soup. I overspent as usual but it was well worth it. For a quick, light, and filling lunch for just over 10, this is a place to consider. I will definitely return. The customer service was great as well… attentive but not pushy. I can’t wait to eat what I brought home for dinner… just five hours to go!

Average Phở, sparse on the bean threads, weird service. The beef in the phở was as big around as bologna slices which made it awkward to eat, but it was tasty. When I asked the waitress if she could make sure the beef for the phở arrived pink as is typical with phở, the broth cooks the meat,(I can’t stand tough phở meat), the waitress looked at me like I had three heads. When bean sprouts only arrived at the table to garnish the phở, I asked for a side of basil, that’s when she looked at me like I had four heads! Took a call from Stanky, seemed like she was pressuring me to get off of the phone. Not like I stopped communicating with her during the call, there were only 2 other people in the place. Sheesh! Probably won’t be back.

We tried Nana Sushi for the first time tonight. The atmosphere is nice, casual but still looks classy. We got Edamame, Chicken Teriyaki(for the BFs four year old), a dragon roll, a scorpion roll, and an Ariel roll. The Edamame was good, the chicken teriyaki was excellent(the picky four year old loved it!). We enjoyed the Scorpion roll so much we got two of them. The Ariel roll only has four prices, but its pretty yummy. The dragon roll was a little disappointing, very bland and you couldn’t taste the eel. The service was excellent, our drinks were never empty and they checked on us often. They are slightly pricey($ 10-$ 12 per roll) but totally worth.

Was out one Saturday doing errands after a particularly rough week and decided to treat myself, no holds barred. Came into this quaint contemporary setting and was greeted by an older gentleman and was given the option of the sushi bar or table. I opted for a table and he sat me at nice Little two seater facing a TV. On advice of other reviewers I ordered the Tiger Roll and the City girl. Both had beautiful presentations and definitely sated my craving. I wanted to take half home but it was so good that it didn’t make it out the door. I had never been here before but given the atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food, I will be back and will bring friends. Yum!

For Sushi lovers there is finally a low key quiet very modern place for you to get great sushi. We hand the Scorpion roll(2 in 1 roll) and it was outstanding. Highly recommended for couples that want a quiet night out for a date night.

Quiet setting, well decorated, great service and good sushi. You can also eat to your wallet with cheap 5 dollar rolls or the 15 dollar spealcial rolls. We got specialty rolls and drinks. The server was very polite, refilled our drinks frequently and the food was fast considering how much thought and craft they employ in making them. Great place for a date night.

Came here a few weeks ago with my friend. We normally just eat the same food at the same place, but this week we decided to try something different. Never was a huge sushi fan but the California roll my friend got was spot on. I had noodles with shrimp and chicken and it was… different. I never had to peel cooked shrimp before. :/

During lunch I ordered the Hawaiian roll,(it was pretty on point) and the yakisoba. The service was extremely prompt and courteous. I would give it a higher rating, but my yakisoba was pretty bland.

Updating my last review of this restaurant. Mainly because of some of the changes that they made. First is that they fixed some of the seating and flooring in the restaurant. It was noticeable. Previously, parts of the floor were starting to peel up and an entire wall was getting dinged up by the iron chairs. They have since bricked the wall it seems and fixed the flooring. They also changed some of the tables. They also had a dedicated host for seating. That was different and an improvement. Food was still good, prices were still fair. One complaint… should I be worried about the mouse trap in the men’s bathroom. Also, time to change out the fan in that bathroom and update the fixtures. That bathroom is starting to get into the 2 star range.

Mehhh — OK I guess. Service was so-so, they really didn’t care so much. I had the chicken teriyaki. The waitress forgot our soups, but after a good giggle about forgetting them, she brought them right away. The soup and chicken was just OK. With a number of other lunch places nearby, don’t think I’d try it again.

This is a «go to» for me and for my family when I visit. There is something on the menu for everyone and although there is sushi in the title, this is more Asian fusion than anything. Whoa! Wait a minute! I know that normally I would knock the joint for being«confused,» but this is good for Suffolk. Suffolk NEEDS this joint! On the menu board for Wednesday, they featured bulgogi, Bibimbap, AND Phở! There aren’t really any other decent Asian food offerings in the area, and my Suffolk peeps need the exposure, so I am just thrilled that this place exists. The sushi is pretty good and I loved the Tuna tataki. Keep bringing it, Nana!

Went during lunch time and there was about 5 tables seated. The waitresses were very so seating me and getting my drink and seemed annoyed when i had questions. The food however is the complete opposite of the service. I got a bento box which came with a salad, 3 pieces of something friend, half a cali roll and 6 pieces of sushi. All delicious and a very good portion size. I will definitely return

I LOVESUSHI and this is the only place we have found in the area that is really, really good! The lychee martini is also amazing! Prices are reasonable, the sushi chef was really friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting and well decorated!

This is the third time i’ve been here. Ate here Saturday with a friend, I guess they have listened to the reviews because the service was fast and somewhat friendly. The calamari was on special so we started with that, very crispy and delicious. She had the tuna lovers and I ordered the maki special, fish was fresh and delicious. If you go make sure you order the hamachi, it is the best part of the tuna!!!

About to get my sushi bento box on! Best sushi I’ve had in Hampton Roads! Price is great and you get a lot for your money. Service is fast and pleasant and the ambiance is to die for. A must try!

The gyoza was a little charred but still excellent. I wasn’t in a sushi mood so I tried the tilapia katsu. That’s fried tilapia, which I’ll equate to an off-brand Gorton’s fish filet. It had a nice crispy outer but it was extremely bland. Luckily, the eel sauce saved it. I’m rating this place higher than my last dining experience because I have eaten [sushi] here a dozen times, and loved it.
