soooo good. been a fan for years at all of their locations.

I’ve always been a fan of chez beignets ever since they were on Buffalo Spdwy. Without a doubt the best beignets I have ever had.

The beignets are made to order and our favorites are the vanilla cream filled. We’ve never dined in, always get them for take out on the weekends. Comparing them to Café du Monde — well, you can’t really. But this place is easy access, very convenient for a quick local fix and never a wait.

The coffee and hot chocolate were mediocore although it is nice that you can get one free refill. I found what I believe to be pieces of coffee beans inside the chicory coffee. I brought this to an employee’s attention in which a new batch of chicory coffee was made thereafter. The staff was apologetic and nice in handling this situation. I enjoyed the beignet fingers which were crispy and chewy — not exactly light and fluffy the way beignets should be. This place can be a nice, quiet work spot because of the free wifi and there is one corner that has an outlet.

I’ve come here a large number of times, and it’s always been a solid choice for breakfast or dessert. I always get the same thing — either the beignets or the mini-pillows with hot cocoa. I won’t go on and on about how it doesn’t compare to Café Du Monde(since really, would you expect it to?), but there’s something missing here. It’s not as light or fluffy, especially the mini pillows which are more prone to overcooking. Still, for the most part, it’s enjoyable, which is why I keep coming back. Really, it’s fluffy, fried bread with café drinks! It’s pretty much a guaranteed winning combination. I would recommend though that they get some more stable tables! Almost all of them shake from being on uneven flooring or legs. I’ve had a couple of my drinks spill out of the cups here because of them! Don’t let down your guard less you fall victim to those treacherous tables!

Pretty solid beignets and the free refill on coffee is nice. Not much to say about the beignets other than it’s hot fried sugar covered goodness. Plenty of room for you to come sit and hang out with your friends.

The stuffed chocolate beignet had kind of a weird filling-tasted more like pudding or something. So, I’d stick to the plain beignet instead! I also liked how you can get a coffee or hot cocoa(included 1 refill) that you can just get yourself. The hot chocolate was pretty good. FYI, $ 5 credit card minimum, and there’s free wifi(pw’s written by the register).

Let’s not fool ourselves and think this one is better than the original location in Bellaire. Not as fluffy or tasty, and also almost always comes out overdone /burnt. It definitely is less crowded, for those who don’t fancy the crowd in the other location. Overall, A-OK in that it satisfies that beignet craving, but if you have the time/energy, I suggest driving a bit further to Chinatown for the original.

Positives first… The place was clean and my beignets were made fresh. Negatives… I’ve had beignets at Café Du Monde and Café Beignet in New Orleans and these do not compare. The beignets here were heavy and dense as opposed to light and airy.

Beignet good, honey good, coffee gooooood! Honestly, best cappuccino in Sugar Land. I like Minuti coffee. Still, chez beignet is better in my opinion. Definitely a contender for top 10 in Htown.

A group of six of us attempted to have dessert after dinner there on Sunday evening at 7:30PM, there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant. We were going to share a basket and get some coffee, the staff informed us that there was a $ 2.50 minimum per person, going outside this is the sign they have posted next to 2 other signs that are cluttered in small window. I found the owner sitting at back table and asked him to explain his policy, he couldn’t explain his position on this policy very well, except to say that there are lots of restaurants to go to and if I didn’t like the policy I could go somewhere else. The owner has no customer service and needs to attend a seminar on how to treat guests and run a successful business, I showed him the cash that he was allowing to walk out the door and NEVER, EVER return. I told him that his credit card machine was not working and he promptly got up, he didn’t have a clue to that either. If you have bad service and not a clue about your business operation, what else is not being attended to that we are not seeing, Just something to think about. PS we have eaten here in the past and this was a return visit. After this visit, we will not be returning until management change. Kelly

You have to spend the equivalent of $ 2.50 per person in order to eat there. So if you have a group of 5 people, you must spend at least $ 10. Owner is strict on this. I get he doesn’t want people to loiter, but if your baskets are under $ 7 it basically forces your group to purchase more.

Pretty decent donut type finger foods. First time trying beignets, and they reminded me of funnel cake. Clean environment. Would go back.

I lived in New Orleans for 8 years so for me Café de Monde set the mold for what beignets should be like. The ones at Chez Beignet were very dense and heavy and had very little flavour. I made the mistake of ordering 3 of them so it didn’t go well. Thanks for trying though.

Tried this place today after wanting to forever and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered a beignet each and it was wonderful– just perfect. They also don’t put an overwhelming amount of powdered sugar on top and place some on each table so you can add on as you want. The Vietnamese coffee was passable however. Can’t wait to come back to tru the fingers– they look even better! Be warned that there’s a 5 minimum credit card charge!

Yummy beignets! My first time trying a beignet and this place made it so fluffy yet crunchy at the same time. I would definitely recommend coming here. Love it! Cannot wait to return.

Yay for another dessert spot in Sugar Land! It’s almost a replica of the Bellaire location(without as many photos on the walls.) Fresh beignets, decent drinks, average/poor service. Don’t come here expecting a warm welcome or a greeting at all. Everything feels extremely transaction-y and business-y. They take your order, take your money, give you your food. Nothing less, nothing more. There’s a $ 5 credit card minimum, and they’re extremely strict and stingy about bringing in outside food and drinks. Even if you try to be sneaky about it, they will find you. All the beignets are made to order and always fresh and delicious when they come out. Our personal favorites are the little pillows and the basket is enough for about four people to share. Drizzle some honey and extra powdered sugar on them — heaven in your mouth! I wasn’t a fan of the fingers because they get too crunchy after they’re fried and tastes like little fingers of oil. The drinks are mediocre, but still pairs pretty well with the beignets. I’m an avid coffee drinker, and I wasn’t a fan of the coffee selection here. The hot chocolate is just the powdered stuff with milk. Meh. Overall, it’s still a pretty cute little place to relax and have dessert with good company. I’ll suck it up and deal with the crappy service and stingy rules for good pretty damn good beignets in Sugar Land.

FOOD: the individual beignets are made as you order which is a plus but the dough tastes like some kind of dinner food(corn dogish) was cooked in the grease. It must have been old because I’ve eaten here before and it was good. Today’s beignets were sour. VENUE: There is no AC! At 6:15 the place fills like an oven. The place is cramped and dusty. It’s ok when there are not a lot of customers though. A lot of the containers were empty and the worker wouldn’t tell you until you figured it out yourself. Over all 2 beignets and 2 bitter coffees was not worth $ 10.
