Oh, Lupe, what happened to you? Went here for Father’s Day dinner and did not have a good experience. Was told the wait was 30 minutes and ended up waiting close to 1.5 hours. The manager was super friendly and attentive but even that can’t make up for the horrible waiter we had. He took drink orders for our kids but forgot one of them and never took orders for adults. By the time he finally took our food order we had been at our table for at least 30 minutes. Fast forward another half hour and our orders start coming out sporadically, spaced minutes apart. My dads shrimp came out cold(the sizzling platter was cold to touch). No butter either, by the time the butter came out 15 minutes later he had already finished his meal. My chicken came out as everyone was finishing their meals. I was warned my plate was hot, but it wasn’t. Everything tasted like it had sat for awhile. All the time, our waiter just lacked in service. So our meal ended up being close to 3 hours! The managers were great, very apologetic about the«off night» that the waiter was having. Not sure what happened, but I sure hope it gets back to good. Two stars because the beef fajitas are rocking good. We will try again sometime but if the service doesn’t improve, we will find someplace else.

I have to say that I love the fajitas this restaurant but the last two visits have been very bad experience, prices have risen sharply and the portion is very small, the service is very slow and takes a long time, cleanliness is horrible, the carpet smells really bad, the seats are very dirty and not enough illuminated, and finally in the last two times there were roaches once in the table and the other on the plate.

Only been here once, but the Vegetable Fajitas were amazing. It was delicious and the portions were large enough for two of us to share the meal. Margaritas were also delicious. Service was surprisingly bad(and the reason for losing a star), but we ignored it considering the food/drinks.

We have gone to Lupe’s many times and quite some time ago decided only to get fajitas here. Their beef fajitas are unbeatable. Well, tonight we decided to be brave so my husband got fajita enchiladas and I got seafood tacos. The mahi mahi in my tacos had been cooked to leather and there was nothing in the taco to enhance their flavor – just lettuce, tomato, and the same salsa you’d get in a beef taco. I couldn’t eat the second taco. My husband disliked his enchiladas, too, and then when he discovered that they added $ 3PERTACO to the price for changing ground beef with fajita meat, he was really unhappy. Overall it is very overpriced and do not order anything except fajitas. And margaritas – those are tasty and very potent.

We came here as a family of 4 and we were told the wait time was 10 minutes the restaurant was pretty empty and other people came in after us and got seated only when I went to see why we were waiting when they just sat other families who just arrived we were seated. But that’s not the worst part I ordered a side of French fries that arrived 7 minutes after our food came and had bits of tortilla in it. It honestly looked like it was ok someone else plate and they reheated it and gave me the fries i would deff not ever come back I feel sick thinking the fries were something else with bits of left over food and they were cold. They kept forgetting our table. I Would not come back at all.

Haven’t been here in a number of years… was not a Unilocal user then and forgot why I don’t come here. It is the most over priced low end Mexican food around. The server was great but the service was slow. The barracho beans were great. The salsa was better pico de Gallo than the pics de Gallo that came on the plate. The guacamole is wet and out of a bag. The chicken fajita nachos were $ 14 and there was not enough chicken on it for a half order. Good flavor but not great flavor.

Despite how good the food is, there is always a wait. if they call you 30 minutes it means that an hour. Every time we have been here, which is a lot, we start off dinner frustrated. The waiters are too rushed to take good care of you. Not sure that we will come back, is what we say every time.

I ordered the Chile Con Queso as an appetizer; it was good. Had the Lobster Tacos for lunch. It’s 7 oz. of diced, grilled lobster tail, creamy roasted poblano sauce, iceberg lettuce & pico de gallo on crispy puffy taco shells. It was great but not worth the price :(I rather have 2 lobster special in Chinatown lol Bean soup and rice was tasty. The manager stopped by our table, introduced herself, and asked if everything was to our liking. That was nice. Service was good.

We like Lupe, and we really liked the Lupe where we used to live. This one? Not as good, but still fine. I love their salsa and the fact that it is spicy and tasty, and always enjoy their house margaritas. My salmon was good, but not great. They didn’t take the skin off my husband’s stuffed pepper, but he said the taste was fine(after he took the skin off). The waiter was efficient, but not particularly personable. Overall, it was just okay.

I had good chicken and beef fajita dinner on a Friday night at 7:30 pm. it was a 25 minute wait… the staff was pleasant. The beef was very juicy and flavor full. The bill was a little pricey at $ 40 for fajitas but I will definitely come back.

I love Lupe Tortilla! Great food… but the price for what you get isn’t comparable. We got fajitas for two, an appetizer and kids enchilada plate and our bill was $ 61. While their fajitas are amazing they are definitely overpriced. Service is decent. Atmosphere is pleasant but can be loud.

Our favorite place for Mexican food. Love the margaritas here and most of the staff is great. If Mario is working, ask for him. He’s the best! The food can be hit and miss sometimes but the salsa and beans with chips are always consistent.

The sizzling fajita chicken is my current favorite. The tortillas are large but also thin, and it’s a wonderful pairing with the fajita chicken. I like to always get the crab-stuffed shrimp as add-on which when added with the fajita chicken, wrapped with the tortilla, with a dash of butter, makes it absolutely phenomenal tasting! For the appetizer, I always get the Queso Flameado without the meat which is served with only the melted Jack Cheese and two big jalepeno peppers. It is served with tortilla and it’s cheesy goodness! Not a big fan of the quesadillas though. With this Sugar Land location, it’s always a wait. I would say, avoid Friday and the weekends as wait will be a little longer. I always have to leave my number, and they text when the table is ready. I find the food takes a long time to come out as well, but quality of course is very good.

Really good food. Green chicken enchiladas and fajitas are my favorite from this place. The fajitas are seasoned very very well. Probably some of the best fajitas I’ve had so far. It’s a bit pricey if you eat a lot but worth it. Some of the food here will fill you up quick. For Ex. The quesadillas are heavy while the green chicken enchiladas still leave you a bit hungry.

Was disappointed with the food and the prices from here especially as I’ve had much better Mexican food. The chicken lupe tortilla was overloaded with cheese, which did not taste good. The tilapia was ok; nothing special. Given the price and quality(or lack thereof) of the food, I would recommend pollo loco any day over here.

What a disappointment! Price is ridiculous for the quality/taste. — Chicken Lupe(2 stars) Super salty chicken — Soft chicken tacos(1 star) Get a flour tortilla and drench it in cheese. Yuck! — Charro Beans(2 stars) NO flavor! — Refried Beans(4 stars) Not bad at all, Probably best thing on the menu — Rice(3 stars) hmm.ok. — Tilapia(3 stars) Ok flavor — Veggie quesadilla(4 stars) Great flavor! For less than half I could of had a much better meal at Pollo loco. Never coming to this place again.

Serving a generous amount of chips with a bean dip and chunky tomato salsa for starters, they’ll fill you up before you even order. For couples, try the ½ lb Beef Fajitas with Jalapeños and Jack Cheese. Best fajita steak I’ve had since transplanting to Texas. Lupe is more of a ‘Tex-Mex’ than the pure, delicious Mexican food back in my homeland of Arizona, but that is just the way it goes for a desert rat in the Lone Star state. Service could have been better, especially for a slow Sunday lunch. Great environment here, though, especially in the spring on the patio. We’ll be back for more steak fajitas soon! Update: we’ve been back, and that’s all we ever order.

Yes! That’s what I say anytime anyone wants to go to Lupe’! This particular location does tend to have quite a few families with kids but I already expect it, so whatever. Now salsa and I have had a rocky relationship but me & Lupe’s salsa {oooooweeeee} super great friends. Always the right bit of umph and just that little bit of ssssss when it hits a certain part of your throat so you have to clear it a couple of times. When I’m really going for the gold I’ll order the Carne Asada AND a half order of the Nachos Cumpuestos! Mmmmm… the carne asada is so tender and has that hint if lime that takes it over the top. I can’t ever eat the whole plate and the nachos. I’m just greedy but the leftovers taste great as a midnight snack. Top it off with an icy cold Coca-Cola Classic and you got a meal my friend.

Fajita steak salad totally rocked! The meat was excellently flavored and the salad was generously portioned. Their dressing was great too. Salsa was a bit spicy, but I’ll admit to being a wimp. The atmosphere was too busy for me — loud, crowded, manic tempo salsa music blaring. It actually detracted from my dining experience — so minus one star. Had fried banana for dessert — mind blowing! Wish I could get this kind of food at home. Would love to come back again — but I’d make it a point to go at off peak hours to avoid the misery that is the loud environment.

pretty cool place last time we came it was an hour wait… um no. This time they said 30 min and it was more like 15. Great drink menu food was really good. Don’t get what was with all the families– tons of kids and the parents were packing away the margaritas– but thats their problem. We got a pound of pork and beef fajitas which were really good. queso flameado was excellent. I probably would have gone with less fajitas since we did the app next time– you can order by the ¼ pound if you like I guess that is for 1? At least on the bill. service was good– it was our waiter’s first night as a server– he was very attentive. The mojito margarita was good. I ordered a prickly pear margarita it didn’t taste like others I had more like a rum punch it was a bit too sweet I think maybe a mistake. food was good service was good but I wouldn’t wait an hour. Last time we headed down to Berryhill walked in and got served– yeah I know not the same food. They had a good menu but it seems fajitas is the food of choice. OH and unlimited chips salsa and CHARRO beans as an app for free– different but oh so good.
