Cheddar’s has always been one of my go to restaurants. This location is convenient for Sugar Land. It’s well kept and still fairly new. The only issue on the latest trip was the salmon still had a lotta fat on it and was in need of some considerable trimming.

This place is getting better but just like everyone says about this place. Sure the service is terrible but the food is decent and cheap in a nice setting.

I think the quality of this Cheddar’s is not as great as it was when it first started. Coming here on a Tuesday with my friend, we find that there weren’t a lot of customers when we first walk in. We weren’t even greeted by anyone since there was no one in front at the hostess stand, and we waited for a little bit until the hostess came and seated us. Usually at Cheddar’s, I always get the lemon pepper chicken with two sides and the croissant, so I got the same this time. The lemon pepper chicken was a bit dry and hard, and it came with very little rice. As I am not raving about carbs, I’m totally ok with that but for people whom are not, they may want more rice then what is served. For my sides, I got the mash potatoes with gravy and broccoli cheese casserole, which were both ok, but not memorable. I also got a side Caesars salad as an add-on to the entrée. The salad plate was cold, and it was bland, and usually Caesars salads can not go wrong. I can barely taste the cheese and dressing, and I did not finish it. The only good thing about it was that the salad came with one croissant. The cookie monster tasted good for dessert but I think it was not heated properly as I felt the cookie bottom was kind of cold in some bites. I think the best taste of the night was the croissant. The restaurant had good interior design and comfortable dining environment, but the food is quite below average to just average. The service was passable as our waitress seems moody and had a ‘didn’t want to be there’ tone half the time.

The worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. I stopped going a couple of years ago because of how bad the service was. I went again last week and nothing had changed. I sat at my table in the bar area(first come, first serve) for 20 minutes and not one waiter even came up to the table. I ended up having to go up to the bar and stand there for another 10 minutes before the bartender came over and took my order. Every other Cheddar’s I’ve been to has had great service and a wonderful experience. Not sure if this one is franchised but Management doesn’t seem to care at all about improving. Save your time and money and avoid this Cheddar’s.

Well I don’t know why this place only has 3 stars, it was a fantastic dining experience while remaining on the cheap side. The food was amazing, service was great and fast. You must, MUST, order the peach tea and also the butter croissants, had to actually order some to go because they are just so delicious. If you have an opportunity, Cheddar’s is a great option.

horrible service!!! The service was horrible… waitress was the worst No refill on water, had to ask for everything including our check. The food did not make up for it at all. The sandwich was ice cold and the fries. Never had this experience at any other location

The last time I ate at Cheddar’s was about 3 years ago… I went back recently and it is just not the same. Their food is straight up from a frozen bag or something then just reheated. It lacks flavor and everything. The service was okay but I didn’t expect much. Their food is comparable to IHOP, which can be bought for cheaper.

Last time we were there, we were seated and had our drink order taken. Waiter then brought over my daughters cola and proceeded to dump it ALL on her lap. This was coke. Sticky. He offered her a napkin. We had somewhere else to be after and had to leave then change her clothes. Never got to have lunch at all that day due to their incompetence. I have never been back and I don’t plan on it.

Place is usually known around for their bad service, mostly on the weekends during dinner during their rush hours. Most servers seem newly experienced, but all are good at their jobs. Most are always friendly & nice. Good food for a great price.

Good food and drinks but worst service, you will get seated in few minutes but it takes forever for the server to come take the order and even longer for the food to come. On top of that your server won’t bother for another 30 minutes to come checkup on you if there is anything else or even for the refills. Butter croissant are to die for!!!

I have been to other Cheddar’s locations and never had a bad experience unlike this location! My family and friends are in the Restaurant and Hospitality business for years and work for Well known companies and also run our own restaurants so we know how things should be. First off, it took about 15 mins to get our drinks and the place wasn’t even a full house. When we finally got to order it took another 45 mins for SOME of the food to come out. We had kids and two of their meals came out nearly an hour later! Food came out COLD like it had been sitting for a LONG time! Even an appetizer someone ordered came out after she was almost done eating her entrée…really? Secondly, the table behind us ordered after our table and got all their food before us! Apparently they had better service as well. I only give a little credit to our server for apologizing that the food came out late but my other party was pretty upset with her service and the behavior of the other servers and herself. I wanted to complain to a manager but we didn’t have anyone approach our table like they are supposed to and no one in the front for us to speak to when we were leaving. We couldn’t wait any longer because the kids were getting restless so we left and I called to complain. I am usually the type to say everything to a manager face-to-face but I wasn’t feeling well and was just too tired of the treatment.

I went to this place 2x, and both times I went I really enjoyed myself! I think the price you pay for the food you get is really good! The first time I came here I had the chicken pot pie with fried onion rings which was delicious! When I came back here yesterday I had their ultimate nachos(needed more pico de gallo with the white sauce IMHO), sweet heat chicken & shrimp, and the chocolate croissant bread pudding! All of this was delicious and didn’t make me feel like I was a glutton because the portion sizes were very well balanced! As for the service? Both times I went, I did have waiters that didn’t take too long to come to me, and I too came during a «dead time» + a super busy time. *shrugs* I guess I will def. be coming back. very soon!

Came in on 4th of July after a night of popping fireworks with my wife and friends. They were about 30 minutes from closing and we were seated right away. I shared the ribs and shrimp with my wife and my friends got the pot pie and club sandwich. Had no complaints on the food, it actually tasted better than I expected, or maybe I was just hungry, but nonetheless the food was just fine. The restaurant was nicely decorated and had a nice ambiance. It’s much better than other chains such as Chili’s. As always, don’t forget to order the buttered croissants!

I went there yesterday and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, there were plenty of booth seats available. I didn’t know what they were thinking. I had to request 3 times for booth seats before it finally clicked. The service is terrible. I got a dirty look from the waitress when I asked to order. The never got a refill and waitress never came-by to check on us. The manager was the only bright spot. He took the our order just to speed things up. I would have given zero stars. Food was not all that. The breading for my chicken fried steak was so thick that it looked like a paper bag. Definitely not worth another try for me.

I’ll say that the food and service is adequate but the main reason for deserving 5 stars is because of Kenneth at the bar. Plain and simple. Even if alcohol isn’t your cup of tea this guy has a great attitude always smiles and delivers. A refreshing welcome to a local restaurant. In short we include cheddars when we go out solely on that fact.

I have been to other Cheddar’s locations and have not had any issues whatsoever. This location though, is among the worst restaurants I have ever been to in my life. Now, the food is typically average here and the drinks are affordable, so it’s an easy place to gather with some friends for a low-key casual get together. But NEVERAGAIN. I have sworn off this place forever and will NEVER be coming back here. I tell everyone I know not to visit this place as the service is HORRIBLE. I can tolerate bad service once or twice and chalk it up to a bad night or just bad luck, but I’ve had terrible service here on numerous occasions. In fact, they greatly outnumber the times I have had decent service here. Considering the bar is mostly empty, except for maybe 1 or 2 other groups of 2 – 4 people, you would think the waitstaff would notice you sitting there for over 20 minutes without having been helped. And even after flagging someone down, we were told by this person that they would grab a waiter/waitress for us. This never happened and we eventually just got up and left since no one thought it was important to get around to our table. And it’s not as if there were not enough waitstaff or that the restaurant was packed. It was EMPTY. Simply ridiculous. Mind you, this is one of MANY similar incidents I have had back when I used to come here, so do yourself a favor and save your money and time by not coming here. There are far better establishments in the area, and even shopping center, that serve better food, have lower prices, and have WAAAAAY better service than this place. This place deserves 0 stars.

This is a chain… so I expect consistency with the food and great service… We were seated in a booth and my niece sat in a high chair on the end. I would’ve preferred a table where my niece wasn’t sticking out on the end, but her mother didn’t object so I didn’t either… We started with chips and queso and it was delicious. We didn’t add the beef, but it’s nice that you can for no charge. I had the Cheddar’s Club. It was good, but the lunch meat seemed«slimy» for lack of a better description. I got fries on the side. I ate it, but I’ve had better clubs, but again, this is Cheddar’s and you shouldn’t come to a big chain like this expecting mind blowing food. My niece had the pasta marinara and ate it up. I can’t remember what else was ordered, but there weren’t any complaints.

I came here last night. As I was walking up I was thinking on what I was going to get. When we got inside no one was at the host stand. We stood there for a good five minutes no one even came up to us. So we decided to take it upon ourselves to pick a seat. We waited and waited and no one came. We can just see everyone talking to each other and laughing. Someone else walked through the door and they got greeted right away. Maybe we are being discriminated? Who knows? About 10 minutes later someone comes up and says«follow me.» Not even a hello, I’m sorry, sorry for the wait, how was your day. She was straight up rude. Didn’t even smile at us. So we just walked out. I’m extremely disappointed with the service here used to come here a lot awhile back. And know I remember why I don’t come here anymore. This place isn’t even worth one star.

As you can tell by the one star, I am not a fan as some others are. I actually didn’t get to really eat here, let me tell you why(this would be the long story warning). I went to this location for a going away party for my cousin. The invite said 4, so I was there at 4 with my family. No one else was there from the party(just like my people to be late), so I called them to ask WTH they were and why there was no reservation. Turns out, this place doesn’t allow reservations for large parties *warning: immediate clue this story doesn’t end well* So, I put the name in for a party of 20 and they said it would be 1 — 1.5 hours. Ok — fine. We go into the bar area, I figured we could get drinks and something to nosh. I waited a full 15min watching a waitress walk past more than once and finally flagged her. She told me she was told NOT to serve us since we were waiting on a table. EXCUSEME? What kind of mess is that? I have to wait in thirst and hunger silence whilst you prepare the table? Where they do that at? HERE, apparently. Then she tells us she about to end her shift and we have to walk up to the bar to order.(ain’t this about a bytch?) I walk up to the bar, try to order, the manager is standing there and asks why I’m up there, I explain the previous conversation and he apologizes says the new guy on shift will be there shortly. ok — fine. Still haven’t ordered shyt. After several more minutes, the manager just comes over and takes our orders. We get drinks and an appetizer. And then continue to wait. …and wait …and wait At SIXPM, one of our party goes gansta on the little seating girl and they agree to FINALLY sit our party. Want to know what the hold up was? They said they don’t start considering prepping a table until at least 80% of the proposed party is checked in. NOBODYTOLDMETHATSHYTWHEN I PUTUSONTHELIST. Then the seating for 20 is guest what? … wait for it… a group of booths near each other in a section of the place. GTFOH!!! Well, after two hours of waiting, we were at the end of our rope and were not ready to wait another hour or two for food and whatnot. We gave our best to the family and left. I’ll just have to go on what I have HEARD about this place, because the chances of me returning are looking like two days after the second coming of Jesus based on how were were treated.

If the service was better I would give this place five stars. The croissants are AMAZING. I agree with another reviewer that says that these are the best croissants they have ever had INCLUDING those had in Paris. They are oven fresh. flaky on the outside light, airy perfect soft goodness on the inside. Price/Ambiance: I almost thought it was a joke. The prices do not match the décor. Greasy spoon in some small town circa 1995 prices with ambiance that is several steps above Applebees and Outback. I love the fish tank and the bamboo fans. Winning!!! Food: Everything was really good. The mashed potatoes where REAL mashed potatoes. My broccoli was properly steamed and still bright green. The Salmon wasn’t dry. I was impressed. Service: On a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 6. As a former server I am sensitive to the fact servers have more than one table, are human and forget things, have side work etc. However, the amount of time we had to wait to get things ended up being disruptive to the meal. Going without refills and condiments for extended periods of time sucks. My niece waited 15 minutes for lettuce and tomato for her burger. By the time it came she had finished her fries and the burger was cold. I ordered Blackened Salmon and received the grilled option instead. By the time she finally returned to the table I had finally eaten 1⁄3 of it and when I inquired if this was indeed the Blackened Salmon she immediately said yes without looking. However, I only docked one star because that is one person, on one day, in one instance. Location/Parking: I am from DC with family living in Fresno, Tx, so I can’t really speak to the convenience of the location. The parking is free and onsite(not a garage down the street or street parking). It sits right off a major road. I was telling a friend in DC about it and he said there is one outside of the DC in Md. I am definitely going to check it out.

Plain and simply delicious. I love that this place is so cheap but the ambiance makes you feel like you are paying for more. Lets face it when you walk into a Applebees or TGI Fridays you know your in for cheap food, half ass service, and a processed stomach ache. I am so impressed with the options they have on the menu and lets talk about how cheap the cocktails are! I ordered Grilled fish with Broc. Cass and rice. Very fresh and seasoned perfectly. Those croissants are beyond dangerous and should be banned from Texas. They are by far the best croissants I have ever had in my life and that includes Paris. That honey butter is crack. Our server was great and I would have given another star but it took forever to get our hand shaken margaritas. But when we got them they were strong and balanced and cheap!
